PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Senior Scientist
Serve as a senior analytical chemist tasked with measuring the chemical composition of natural and artificial
materials used to develop OTC medicines. Conduct research to develop and improve new and existing
measurement techniques and methods. Perform Chromatography (HPLC and UPLC) analysis to separate,
identify and quantify compounds. Leverage conventional and automated fiber optic instruments to conduct
dissolution, Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) testing.
Operational Highlights:
• Ensured the quality of finished OTC drugs by analyzing the stability of new medical products.
• Formulated new and improved HPLC methods to characterize new products and support stability studies.
• Generated data regarding the chemical composition of new products and identified degradation and
process impurities after conducting laboratory tests.
• Improved laboratory safety and testing throughput by utilizing automated, fiber optic dissolution
instruments.
Senior Scientist
Designed standard operating procedures for laboratory testing. Prepared reports that documented test results
for Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDAs). Provided laboratory support to develop and validate clinical
supply measurement, production and cleaning techniques. Conducted tests to measure the size of particles
for in-process protein milling. Performed gas chromatography, HPLC and spectroscopic analysis to determine
trace levels and label claims. Developed, implemented and trained new employees on stability indicating
methods for solid dosage products and aerosols. Utilize time of flight instruments and automated microscopic
