ThisweekIgainedalotmoreresponsibility.ByThursday,Itaughtfourofoursix
classes.Ispentalotoftimethisweekplanningandbrainstormingideasforclassroom
managementaswellaslessons.ThemostresponsibilityIfeellikeIhadthisweekwas
takingoverperiod4.Thisisourcomplicatedclasswithanarrayorlearningneedsand
verydisrespectfulbehavior.PamlostitwiththemonWednesdayandtheretrulyalossof
respectbetweenherandtheclass.IofferedtotaketheclassThursdayandshedidnt
hesitatetoletmehavethem.
Ireallywasntnervouswiththem.Iwantedtotakethemonmyownandhavethechance
toseeifIcouldgetthroughalessonwiththem.IwantedtoseeifIcouldmakea
differenceandIcouldestablisharelationshipwiththeminawaythatPamhadnotandI
reallyfeltlikeIdid.IthinkthatIwillbeteachingthatclassfortheremainderofthetime
Iamstudentteachingbecauseofhowirritatedshefeelswiththemeveryday.Pamseems
tobeverynegativeaboutthisgroup.
2. Whatwereyourmostsatisfyingexperiences?Whatwereyourmostchallenging
experiences?
Byfarteachingperiod4isthemostsatisfyingbutalsoextremelychallenging.Ihaveto
beonmytoesthewholeperiodaswellasIhavetobemoreenergeticthanthemevery
minute,orIlosetheirattention.Itwascrazy;theynoticedmyenergyandexcitement
which(Ibelieve)causedthemtolistentomeandparticipate.Itisnota180degreeturn
around,butIjustfeellikeIhavecontroloftheclass.Yes,therestillwereseveraltimes
wheretheywouldnotbeontaskandtheyweretalkingovereachotherandme,butIjust
feellikeIcouldringthembackin,andtheyweretalkingaboutthelesson(whichI
actuallyfinished.Wehadnotreallyfinishedalessonuptothispoint,yet.)Ifeltsoproud
aftertheclasswasfinishedbecauseitseemedlikeIgotthroughtothemanditiskindof
likeafreshstartforthembyhavingmeteachinsteadofmymentorteacher.
AsIreflectedontheclass,Ikeptthinkingabouttheinterruptingandthemumblingthat
washappeningwhendiscussionwassupposedtobehappening.Thenitoccurredtome,
mostofthemarenotacquaintedwithparticipatinginclass.Thisisatrackedclasswithall
ofthestudentslearningatthesamelevelastheirpeers.Theyareallplacedinthisclass
becausetheirreadinglevelsarebelowthe50thpercentilebasedontheIowaAssessments.
Intheirintegratedclasses,theylikelydonotparticipate,butinthisclass,theyarewith
othersattheirleveloflearningandtheydontquiteknowhowtoparticipatesothey
blurt,andwreakhavocforaminuteuntilIpullthembacktogether(forthemostpart).
3. Whataretheplansfortheupcomingweek?

ThisMondaywehavestaffdevelopmentandourgroupisworkingonKinesthetic
learningwhichIamreallyexcitedabout.Thisisexactlywhatweneedintegrateintoour
4thhourbecausetheyareahighenergyclasswhohasahardtimesittingforalongtime.I
willbeplanningalotmorethisweekandwillbeobservedin4thhournextweek

1. Howdidyouspendyourtimethisweek?Whatresponsibilitiesdidyouhave?
Thisweekwasprettyhectic;Homecomingweek.WearestillonherplanandIwillbegin
teachingbelltobelltheweekofthe18th.InourYAL1classesweneededthemtobeon
thecomputerssigningupforREAD180andtakingtheirlexileteststogettheirgrade
levelreadingscoresaswellasdoingbooktalks.Whoeverdecidedtohavebooktalksasa
partofthecurriculumwasinsane.Idontknowhowateachercouldgiveindividual
attentiontoastudenttohaveabooktalkaswellashavecontrolovertheclassroomby
themselves.Itwasamesswiththetwoofusintheretryingtocontroleveryone.
Iwasresponsiblewithfacilitatingthebooktalksandgettingkidssignedupforlexilesin
YAL.IncreativewritingIwasinchargeofrevampingthepoetryfinalproject
assignmentsheetandplanninganonlinewritingworkshopformatforThursdayand
Friday.Thebooktalkswereveryinformalandhadsomelooserequirementssoitwas
inconsistentfromstudenttostudentatfirst,butIgotthehangofitandkindchangedthe
assignmentsheettosomethingthatwouldworkbetterforthesekids.Thewriting
workshopseemedtogowell,buttheresultsofthatwillcomeMondaywhenweread
theirroughandfinaldraftstoseeifanyonereceivedvaluablefeedback.
2. Whatwereyourmostsatisfyingexperiences?Whatwereyourmostchallenging
experiences?
Iusuallystartwiththemostsatisfyingexperiencesbutthisweekseemedtobeflooded
withchallenges.Thursday,inperiodfourmyteacherreallylostitwiththeclass.Shewas
yellingatkidstogetoutofclassandcalledanadministratortocomeinandhelpheras
wellastheteacherfromacrossthehall.Therewasnocontrolovertheroomandthe
worstpartwasthatherminiblowupwasoversomeveryinsignificantcommentsand
actionsthatthestudentsdid.Ifeltsoawkwardlisteningtothekidssayhowmuchthey
hateherandhowsheissomean.IknowthatPamcaresforthesestudents,buthertone
andherangerprojectedonthemmakesitnearlyimpossibleforthestudentstoseethat
fromher.IfeltliketherewasnothingIcoulddosoIjustkepttryingtokeepthestudents
fromblowingup,yelling,andcomplainingwhenshelefttheroom.Ididntfeel
comfortablesayinganythingtoPambecauseshewassoworkedupandalmostintears.It

wasprobablyforthebetterthatwedidnotdiscussitbecauseIwouldnothavebeenable
totellhermytruefeelingsonheractions.
Itwasalsochallengingtohavetotalkabouttheincidenttootherteachersand
administratorswhoaskedmeaboutitbecausewhileIwantedtoadvocateformyteacher
andtohaveherback,Ididnotnecessarilyagreewiththewaytheentireday,aswellas
howmostotherdaysarehandledbasedonclassroombehavior.Shehasbasicallygiven
upontheclassbutIseriouslyamnotreadytodothatandamdeterminedtoatleasthave
somememorableteachingmomentscomefromthis4thperiodclass.Whenmeetingwith
theotherteachersinformallyaskinghowthingsaregoing(thedepartmentchairis
requestingtotalkwithme)Itrytoacknowledgethattheyareachallenge,butthatthey
arenotalostcause.Iwanttoshowcasemyideashowtomaketheclassfunctionbetter,
andIwanttheotherfacultywhoareinvolvedtoknowthatIamnotafraidofthese
studentsandthatwhenthetimecomesformetohavethisclassasmyownsometime
nextweek,Iamnotgoinginwithanegativeattitudeaboutthestudents.Iknowthatthe
likelihoodofmechangingthemcompletelywouldbenaiveIjustwanttomakesmall
differencesandeventhoughitistough,Icanthelpbuttokeeptryingalternative
methodstoboosttheirinterestandchangetheirbehaviorsinaclassroom.
Coincidentally,thismostchallengingexperiencehasalsotranslatedintoasatisfying
experience.Thereisastudentwhoisaprobleminthisfourthperiodclasswhohasa
learninglab(Amonitoredandaidedstudyhall)followingourfourthhour.Hehasbeen
talkingaboutme,asateacher,tohisinstructorintheroom.Shecameuptomeandsaid
thatBlakethinks,Ms.Nybodoingareallygoodjobwiththeclassandtheclass
respondsbettertoher.Ican'twaitformyrealteachertogoaway.Ihatetohearthatlast
sentencebecauseIknowthatsheisagoodwomanandhasalottoofferasateacher,but
IwasreallyenlightenedtohearthathethinksIactuallywillbeabletoteachthem
somethingwhenItakeover.Iwishmorethananythingtheycouldseethegoodinmy
teacher,butItrulydonotthinkshewillhaveahandleontheclass.Shehasadmittedthey
havegottenunderherskinandtheyknowit.Hearinghersaythataboutthem,wasagreat
lessonandfirsthandexperienceintheimportanceofnotlettingastudent,oranentire
class,getunderyourskin.

IamgoingtobefinishingupBookTalksinYALandstartingthepoetryunitonblockdays.
Increativewriting,wearealsofinishinguppoetryandwillbestartingourshortstoriesunit
onblockdaysaswell.IamlookingforwardtothisweekbecauseIwillbeplanningmostof
theseunitsandwillbeinfullswingbynextweek.IalsoamteachingWednesdayforSueand
itwillbeourintroductionintoPoetry.FeelfreetosuggestanyideasbeforeWednesday!I
haveacouplefunandengagingpoemsthatIthinktheywillliketohooktheirinterest,Iwill

1. Howdidyouspendyourtimethisweek?Whatresponsibilitiesdidyouhave?
Iwasagainteachingbelltobellthisweek.InshortstorieswereadLastRungonthe
Ladderandtalkedaboutdialogueandcharacterization.Wereadthestorylikeascriptand
hadthestudentsactingalittlebit.Afterreading,wedidaBiopyramidcomparingthetwo
maincharacters.
InYoungAdultLitweworkedonpoetryandreadacouplepoemsaboutpoetryandhad
themwritetheirownusingatemplate.Irealizedtherewasalotoftroublewritingpoetry
lastweeksoIdecidedtocreateaguidedpoetrytemplatesotheyhadamorestructural
lineupforapoemratherthanhavingthemwriteparagraphsanditworkednicely.
ForYoungAdultLitII,wewerereading,IllPlantyouaLilacTreeandthestudentshad
alotofquestionsaboutGhettosbecauseHannalore,ourmaincharacter,hadtogotoa
JewishGhettobeforeshewenttoaconcentrationcamp.TheywantedtoknowmoreandI
hadsomeleftovertimebeforeclassstarted,soIcreatedaPowerPointandalessonthat
hadtodowithnutritionintheGhettos.Theyreallylikedthesecondarysource
informationandwetookitastepfartherandtrackedourfoodforacoupledaysand
compareddailycaloricintaketothoseplacedintheGhettos.
2. Whatwereyourmostsatisfyingexperiences?Whatwereyourmostchallenging
experiences?
ThisweekIhadalotoffuncreatingthelessonsonstarvationintheGhettos.Notonly
wasitgoodtogivethestudentstheextrainformationaboutthesettingofthebook,itwas
interestingformetoresearchtoo!Ifeltliketherewasalotoflearningthatwenton.They
gottodiscussthemselvesandtheirideasaboutfoodandfreedom.Ialsospurofthe
momentdecidedthattheywouldlookupheadlinesfromallfacetsofthewarandcollect
someheadlinestocreateafoundpoemusingtheirownlinesinconjunctionwiththe
headlineswhichallturnedoutverywell.
ThisweekIfeltlikeplanningingeneralwasachallenge.Itwasweektwoofmyunits
anditsuddenlybecametougher.Ihadhadastrongfirstweekwhereeverythingfeltnew
andready,butthisweekseemedabitmorestrained.Ifeltlikemytimingwasoffmore
thanithasbeeninthepastandthatwasstartingtobotherme.Alsoespeciallysincewe
talkedaboutitinourmidterm,Iwasfeelingabitguiltyforgettingexemplaryonthe
planningsectionjustbecauseIhadbeenfeelingalittleoffthosefewdays.IknowIhad
goodplans,butIwasntsuremyexecutionofthemwasjustnotrightandIfeltit
throughoutbothYALIandcreativewriting.YALIIisalotmorerelaxedandfeelsmore
structuredeverydaybecausethereareonly5studentsandgoingwiththeflowjustfeels
easier.
3. Whataretheplansfortheupcomingweek?
ThisweekendIhavebeenplanningalotmorethanIdidlastweekend.Ididntlikethe
feelingofhavingdowntimeandespeciallysincethatwassomethingwetalkedabout
gettingbetteratinthemeeting,Ifocusedalotonmyplans.SometimesforclassesIjust

haveanoutlineofwhatishappeningratherthanalessonplanspelledoutandIwantto
trytohavemoredetailedlessonsthisweekandseeifthatmakesadifferenceinplanning.
EverytimeSuecomestowatch,IhaveamoredetailedplanandIwanttohavethatona
dailybasis.IlikehavingthestructurethereevenifIdontfollowittoatee,soIam
tryingalotharderthisweektofeelstructuredwithdetails.
AlsoIamgoingtotrytoassignsomehomework.LastweekIneverdidandpartofme
likesnotgradingitandhavingthemdoitinclassbecauseitissometimesbetterwork
(becausetheyarenotrushingorforgettingtodoit)butalsobecauseIcansayIhonestly
forgotaboutassessingtheminthatmannerincreativewritingbecauseinYALwe
typicallydontassignworkknowingthequalityandvolumeoflate/missingassignments.

Ireallyamgoingtobemoreontopofthings.Ithinkstartingofftheweektomorrowwith
anobservationwillbehelpfulandhasalreadysetthetoneforwhatIwanttohave
plannedfortheweek.Ispentmostofthisweekendplanningandorganizingtheweekso
thatIwouldbebetterprepared.Iknowthattherewillalwaysbeupsanddowns,butI
trulytrytotakewhatcanbeconsideredadown,learnfromit,andattempttonotrepeatit.
Andthisweekwillbehavingfullerlessonplans.
4.Also,sinceItaughtperiod1IthoughtIwouldreflectonittoosinceIhaveaminute.Iwas
veryimpressedwithmyselfhandlingthelittleprintingglitchandthoughtthatmyplanwasvery
fullanddetailed.Iamlookingforwardtoperiod4andusingmylessonplanIcreatedforthemas
well.Itypicallyhaveamuchskinnierlessonthathasshorternotelikeinstructionspairedwith
mytimeslots,Ithinkthatfromnowon,IwillhavemyfulllessonplanscreatedsoIfeellikeI
amfullypreparedaswellasontopofthedetailsthatIcansometimesforgetifIhadntwritten
themdown.ItsnotlikeIusemylessonplanwhenIamteaching,butjustwritingitdown
beforehandputsitintomymemoryandallowsmetoruntheclockinmyheadbettereven
withoutholdingontomyplanandcheckingmytimeslots.

1. Howdidyouspendyourtimethisweek?Whatresponsibilitiesdidyouhave?
WowthiswasaHECTICweek.Iwasteachingthisweekandtryingtoplanbetter,butthere
wasanincidentWednesdaythatmadeThursdayandFridayverystrange.Pamgotintoitwith
astudentandwasinsometrouble(Ithink).ThursdayandFridayshewasnotatschoolandI
hadtwodifferentsubstitutes.Thisleftmeprettynervousaboutthefinalpartofthesemester
becauseaftertalkingtomysupervisortherewasmentionofpossiblynotbeingabletobein
herclassroom.
Ihavedoneareallygreatjobonmanagingstressontheoutsidebasedoninteractionsand
generallynotliterallyfeelingthestress.IdidntevennoticeIwasstresseduntilIwasgetting

kindofsickandmyneckwassuperheavyandsorefromtension.Icantreallysaythatnext
weekwillbemuchbetterstresswiseIalmostthinkitwillbeworsetryingtofigureoutifI
willstayinthisroomwiththesestudentsornot.
OntheactualschoolsideofwhatIdidthisweek
IjustwrappedupsomeimportantstoryelementsinCreativewritingwhereIhadvery
focusedlessonsonforeshadowing,irony,anddialogue.Iwantedtoincorporatethese
elementsbecausetheyaremoreadvancedthanjustlearningabouthowtowriteabeginning
middleandend.Iwantedthemtohaveagooddefinitionofthemorecomplicatedtypesof
writingstylesbecausetheywillhavetoincorporatethemintotheirfinalshortstories.
InYoungAdultLitIstartedworkingonastudysheetforfigurativelanguage.Ibeganwitha
lessoninsimileandmetaphorinmysecondperiod.ActuallyMrs.Thomasongavethelesson
toperiod2becauseIwasinameetingwithmysupervisor.Ithoughtthestudentshadlearned
thisinmiddleschool,buttheywerereallyslowinproducingandfindingsimilesand
metaphors.Thestudentsdrewtworandomnounsoutofabasketandhadtocomeupwitha
listofsimilaritiesbetweenthetwo.Oncetheyhadalistof510thingstheyhadincommon,
theyweretowriteasimileandametaphorandturnitinsoIcouldawardthebestlistandthe
bestsimileandmetaphorfornextclass.Imnotsurewhathappened,butonlyonegroup
cameupwithactuallywritingtheircomparisons.SoIhadtogooveritagainthenextclass.
Thiswasagoodlearningmomentforme.Ihadexpectedtospendabout30minuteson
instructionandexplorationofsimilesandmetaphorsanditturnedintotwoclassperiods;but
onlyforthatclasswhichdoeshaveabout50%ELLstudents.OurotherYALclassesknew
themandtookabout30minutestodotheactivity,lecture,andexploration(finditinapoetry
book).
InYALIIIcameupwithanassignmentwheretheywriteafoundpoemfromnewspaper
headlinesfromtheHolocaust.Ilovedtheassignmentandthestudentsproducedreallyfine
work!ItwasalsoatimeIcouldshowthemhowtocitetheirsourceswhichIdecidedtodoat
thelastminutebutprovedtobeanimportantandusefulskilltheywerehappytohave
acquired.
2. Whatwereyourmostsatisfyingexperiences?Whatwereyourmostchallenging
experiences?
Mybestexperienceactuallywasduringaplanningperiod.Actuallyitwasironicallythe
sametimethatPamgotherselfintotrouble,butmysatisfyingexperienceisnotabouther.
Iwasactuallyplanning(usuallyIvegototherstufftodo)whenastudentfrommy
secondperiodcameintotheroom.HisnameisEdandheisanillegalimmigrantfrom
MexicowithaEnglishandmotivationinourclass.Ikindoftookhimundermywinga
fewweeksagobyjustbutteringhimupalittleusingSpanishinaplayfulway.Speaking
alittlebitofEspaolandsittingwithhimandforcinghimtodohisclassworkinthe
nicestwaypossible.LotsofPorFavorsandsmilesandhewasobeyingeveryorderof
mine.IhavehimhookedandhewillprettymuchdoeverythingIsay!
Histeacher(thisisduringmyplanningperiod)senthimand10otherstudentstothelab
acrossthehallfrommyroom.Edwasinthereandneededhelpwithhisworkbecause
therewasnoteacherintheroomtohelphim.HecameuptomeandaskedifIcouldhelp

himwithhismathhomework!IamnotgoodatmathbutIwassohappyhecameupto
meandasked,becauseIthenknewthathetrustedmeandfeltasifIwassomeonehecan
goto.IdroppedeverythingIwasdoingtotrytohelphim;itmademefeelsogood
knowingthatIcouldassisthimoutsideofmyclassaswellasinclass.
Challengefortheweek:WehadasubstituteonThursdayandFriday.Idislikehaving
subs.Theyfeeltheneedtointerjectandruntheroombecausetheydonthaveother
thingstodoandbecausetheyareunfamiliarwithhowtheyshouldtrustastudentteacher.
ThefirstsubonThursdaywasallaboutherself.Howsherememberedallthesekidswhen
theywereinmiddleschool.Shewasnice,butverystrangeandselfcentered.Thesubon
FridaywasTERRIBLE.Asyouknow,our4thhourisnastyandshemadetheserious
mistakeofbeingnastyrightbackatthem.Shestartedtheproblemsbyforcingtheir
phonesoutandintothebasketsbeforethebellevenrang.Ibarelyhadachanceto
welcomethestudentsasshewastellingthemtoputawaytheirphones.Shelostevery
ounceofrespectshecouldhavehopedtohavebyactingthewayshedid.Thosekids
needtofeelliketheteacherisrespectingthemortheywillalljustgangupandcreatehell
fortheteacher.Ijustsatthereatthefrontoftheroomlisteningtothestudentsandthesub
yellateachother.Ihatedit.
Onepositivethatcameoutofitwasthefactthattheyallwerereallyhappywhenshe
steppedoutoftheroomandtheyremindedmethatIamtheirfavoriteteacher.Iquestion
whythisis,butIthinkitisbecausetheyknowIcareaboutthemaspeoplenotjustas
students,andthatImnotateacherwhoisagainstthemthatIwantthemtosucceedand
amwillingtoworkwiththemevenwhentheyaredifficult.
3. Whataretheplansfortheupcomingweek?
Thisisatoughonetoanswerthisweek.IamhopingtofinishmyunitsonPoetryandShort
stories,butwewillseewhathappens.Notreallysurewhatelsetoaddhere.Iamgoingtotryto
haveatalkwiththesubsbeforeschoolstartsinthemorningsotheydontjustjumpinwhenI
needtobeworkingonhandlingthestudentsmyself.Ialsoamgoingtoworkoutthisweeka
coupletimes.IhavegottenoffthatroutineandIthinkithelpslowerstresslevelsandIhavea
feelingthesenextfewdayswillbestressful.Idonotknowthestatuswhetherornotmyteacher

1. Howdidyouspendyourtimethisweek?Whatresponsibilitiesdidyouhave?
Thisweekwasalsoastressfulone.Ispentalotoftimethisweektryingnottoworry
aboutthefuture.IwasnotsurewhatthefateofPamwasgoingtobe,IdidnotknowifI
willbeabletostayinmyclassroom,IdidnotknowifIwouldlikethesubsthatwerein
theroomforthenextfewdays.Iwasverycaughtupindramahappeningoutsidethe

classroomandIwasEXTREMELYluckythatthisweekinYAL1andCreativeWriting
wereworkshopweekssoIwasnotinstructingasmuch.
CreativeWritingwaswrappinguptheirshortstoriesunitandwritingandcreatingduring
classtimeandYAL1waswrappinguptheirPoetryunitbyfinishingtheirreviewsof
literarylanguageaswellaswritingafinalpoem.Alotofmytimeintheclassroomwas
helpingedit,revise,andassistwiththeirideasforpoemsandstories.IwasveryhappyI
wasnotcreatingnewlessonseverydaybecauseitwouldhavebeenanotheraddedstress
thatIwouldhavehadtodealwith.Interestingthatmyteacherisoutforstressrelated
issuesandIseemedtohavepickedupalltheonessheleftintheclassroom.Yikes!
TheweekendedGREATthough.IdevelopedareallygoodbondwithCory,thelong
termsubwhowillbeintheroomthroughThanksgiving(wethink).Ireallyneededher
becausenextweekThursdayIamsupposedtostart2newunitsandwithoutPamtohelp
guidemeandmyplanning,Iwasstartingtofeellost.YALissupposedtodofilm
analysisandherfilmwasoneIhadneverwatchedorheardof.
IshowedCorymyunitIplannedinMethodsonDystopiaandTheHungerGamesand
shewasblownaway.ShecalledCameronGale(EnglishDpt.Head)andhegavemethe
goaheadaswellastheinstructionalcoachIhavebeenworkingwithallsemester.Iam
veryexcitedtousethishighlyinteractiveunitforYAL.Theyneedit,andIthinkwill
greatlybenefitandloveit!Coryisallintohelpmeandwantstobeapartofittoo.What
IamnervousaboutisPamcomingbackandnotfeelinglikeshewasapartofthiswhich
willnothelpherconfidenceanddemeanor.Despiteherpotentialfeelings,thisiswhatis
bestforme;todoaunitanduseatextIamfamiliarwith.

theclassroom.IdontthinkImadeitobviousthatIwasdealingwithanything,butmostof
thekidscouldtelltherewassomethinggoingonsimplybecauseMrs.Thomasonwasnotin
theroomallweekthisweek.Ididnotwanttohavetoworryaboutthatstuffwhileteaching,
butIwaspulledoutoftheroomtotalktoMillerandCameronafewtimeswhichisunusual
forthem.IfeltreallygreatwithmysubMondayandTuesdayeventhoughshewassocial
studiesendorsed,shewasverysupportiveandevenwantingtohelpwithlessonsandsuch.I
couldtellshecaredaboutmeandmysituationandwhatwasgoingtobethebestforme.
MymostsatisfyingexperiencewasdefinitelyFridayafternoonwhenCoryreadmyHunger
Gamesunitplan.ShewasinaweoftheplanningandthecalendarIhadcreatedandurgedme
tousethisasthenextunit.Shewantedtohelpinanywayshecanwhichmayincludestaying
afterschooltoshowallthefilmsinordertotakeafieldtripaweekfromFridaytothenewest
HungerGamesshowing.IthinkifwecanpullthisoffIwouldleaveValleywiththeBEST
experienceIcouldhavepossiblyeverhad.IamSOexcitedtoteachTheHungerGames
moviewithsomethingthatIspentmonthscreatingincollege.Ihadsomuchoutpouringof
supportforthisnextunitandformysituationoverallIcouldnothavewalkedintothe
weekendwithamorepositiveoutlookonmynextmonthofstudentteachingandIamSO
thankfulforthatbecausethisnextmonthlookedverymurkyjustafewdaysago.

Ihaveaverybusyweek.IhavemockinterviewsafterschoolaswellasthePraxisIItest
Wednesdaynight.LuckilyCoryisverywillingtotakeabitofworkloadfrommeonThursday
sincemynightwillbepacked.IamveryexcitedforextendeddayTuesdayandWednesdayto
gettowatchandlistentoallofCreativeWritingsshortstorypresentationaswellasmyPoetry
classreading.Wearegoingtohaveapoetryreadingsetupwithdimlightingandsnacksforp.2,
4and7sotheycanfeelcomfortableandwillingtosharetheirpoemsthecreated.Thursdayand
FridaywillbethestartofCreativeWritingsnarrativeunitthatCoryandIarealsoplanning.
(PamsunitbeganwithatravelnarrativeandIfeelitwillbehardforalotofstudentstoconnect
sinceIknowitwouldbehardformetoconnectasa22yearold!IalsohadtheOKfromPam
monthsagotochangethat).
InYALwewillhaveasimulationofaReapingandsplitintoDistrictsbeforeshowingpartsof
themovietheweekafteronMonday.Iamveryexcitedtohavethissetupandforotherstogetto
seeitinactioneventhoughIknowitwillbealotofwork!
