Warnungen und Sicherheitsrichtlinien fr gefllte, verschlossene Bleibatterien mit gebundenem Elektrolyt.

Bitte lesen Sie sich die gesamte Betriebsanleitung durch, bevor Sie die Batterie in Betrieb nehmen.
Beachten Sie die Informationen auf der Batterie, in deren Betriebsanleitung
und in der Betriebsanleitung des Fahrzeugs. Bewahren Sie diese Betriebsanleitung
zusammen mit der Bedienungsanleitung des Fahrzeugs auf.
Tragen Sie immer eine Schutzbrille, wenn Sie an der Batterie arbeiten.
Lagern Sie Sure und Batterien auerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern.
Feuer, Funken, offenes Licht und Rauchen verboten:
- Vermeiden Sie Funkenbildung sowohl beim Umgang mit Kabeln und elektrischer
Ausrstung als auch bei elektrostatischer Entladung.
- Subern Sie die Batterie mit einem feuchten Tuch und tragen Sie angemessene
Kleidung.
- Vermeiden Sie Kurzschlsse.
Explosionsgefahr:
Beim Laden der Batterie kann eine explosive Knallgasmischung entstehen.
Vertzungsgefahr:
- Batteriesure ist extrem tzend. Unter normalen Betriebsbedingungen kommt
es nicht zum Kontakt mit dem Elektrolyt (verdnnte Schwefelsure). Bitte beachten Sie aber bei beschdigtem oder zerstrtem Gehuse, dass der gebundene
Elektrolyt genauso tzend ist wie flssiger Elektrolyt. Daher gilt:
- Tragen Sie stets Schutzhandschuhe und eine Schutzbrille.

Erste Hilfe:
- Splen Sie Augen, die mit Sure in Kontakt gekommen sind,
fr einige Minuten mit klarem Wasser und suchen Sie danach
unverzglich einen Arzt auf.
- Suretropfen auf der Kleidung oder der Haut sollten sofort
mit Sureneutralisator oder Seifenlauge neutralisiert und mit
viel Wasser gesplt werden.
- Bei verschluckter Sure suchen Sie unverzglich einen Arzt
auf.
Warnung:
Das Gehuse wird mit der Zeit brchig, daher gilt:
- Setzen Sie die Batterie nicht direktem Sonnenlicht aus.
- Entladene Batterien knnen einfrieren, lagern Sie die Batterie
deshalb an einem frostsicheren Ort.
Entsorgung:
Entsorgen Sie die Batterie ausschlielich an autorisierten
Sammelstellen. Entsorgen Sie alte Batterien nie ber den Hausmll! ecosteps ist eine Recycling-Initiative von Johnsons

1. Transport
Die VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM (mit AGM-Technologie) erfllt die
Anforderungen an Auslaufsicherheit der UN2800. Daher gilt eine AGM-Batterie
nicht als gefhrliches Transportgut. Dessen ungeachtet muss die Batterie
gegen Kippen, Kurzschluss, Verrutschen und Beschdigung gesichert werden.
Kurzschlsse sind zu vermeiden, da die Batterien eine extrem hohe Leistung
haben und die Gefahr der Entzndung besteht.
Lassen Sie die Anschlussabdeckungen an Ort und Stelle.
Lassen Sie die Entgasungsffnung offen.
2. Einbau in das Fahrzeug und Ausbau aus dem Fahrzeug
- Richten Sie sich immer nach der Betriebsanleitung des Fahrzeugs.
- Batterien, die gefllt ausgeliefert werden, sind gebrauchsfertig.
- Achtung! Unterbrechung der Spannung kann zur Fehlfunktion diverser
elektrischer Komponenten fhren (Wegfahrsperre, Radio etc.).
- Bauen Sie nur ausreichend geladene Batterien ein (Minimum 12,50 Volt
Ruhepannung).
- Schalten Sie vor Ausbau der Batterie alle elektrischen Systeme aus.
- Trennen Sie bei Ausbau der Batterie zuerst den negativen Anschluss (), dann
den positiven Anschluss (+).
- Subern Sie vor Einbau der Batterie den Batteriehalter des Fahrzeugs.
- Subern Sie nach Vorgabe des Fahrzeugherstellers die Batterieanschlsse und
die Anschlussklemmen und/oder tragen Sie surefreies Fett auf.
- Verankern Sie die Batterie fest; verwenden Sie dazu die
Befestigungsvorrichtung des Fahrzeugherstellers.
- Entfernen Sie nach Befestigen der Batterie im Fahrzeug die Schutzkappe vom
positiven Anschluss und setzen Sie sie auf den Anschluss der ausgetauschten
Batterie, um Kurzschluss und Funkenbildung zu vermeiden.
- Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Anschlussklemmen gut befestigt sind.
- Entfernen Sie Komponenten wie Anschlussabdeckungen, Winkelstcke,
Entgasungsbehlteranschlsse und Kontakthalterungen (wenn vorhanden)
von der ausgetauschten Batterie und bringen Sie sie an den entsprechenden
Stellen wieder an.
- Lassen Sie die Entgasungsffnung offen.

3. Externes Laden
Hinweise zur Ladung sind in der EN 50342-1 aufgefhrt.
Verwenden Sie nur ein passendes Gleichstrom-Ladegert. Beachten Sie seine
Anwendungshinweise.
- Empfehlung:
a.) Standardladen: Ladestrom mit IU-Kennlinie bei 25% der Nennkapazitt.

Die maximale Ladespannung betrgt 14,1 bis 14,8 Volt.
b.) Dauerladen:
Begrenzen Sie die Ladespannung auf 13,65 bis 13,8 Volt.
Bei einer Ladespannung unter 13,2 Volt (2,20 Volt/Zelle) sind zustzliche
Ladevorgnge mit einer hheren Spannung in regelmigen Abstnden
notwendig, damit die vollstndige Ladung der Batterie gewhrleistet ist.
Alternativ kann ein Ladegert mit IUoU-Kennlinie verwendet werden, das
mit I=10% der Nennkapazitt ldt.
- Die Ladeschlussspannung sollte 12,7 bis 12,8 Volt betragen.
- Pro 0,1 Volt Differenz zu 12,7/12,8 Volt sollte die Batterie fr eine Stunde geladen werden.
- Laden Sie niemals eine eingefrorene Batterie oder Batterien mit einer
Temperatur ber 40 C oder Batterien, die sich bei Berhrung warm anfhlen.
- Schlieen Sie den positiven Anschluss (+) der Batterie an den positiven
Anschluss des Ladegertes an und den negativen Anschluss der Batterie an
den negativen Anschluss des Ladegertes.
- Schalten Sie das Ladegert nicht ein, bevor die Batterie vollstndig angeschlossen ist.
- Wenn die Batterie vollstndig geladen ist, schalten Sie zuerst das Ladegert
aus.
- Brechen Sie den Ladevorgang ab, wenn die Batterie hei wird oder Sure
austritt!
- Die Batterie ist vollstndig geladen, wenn (siehe Hinweis in der
Betriebsanleitung des Ladegertes) bei Verwendung von spannungsgeregelten
Ladegerten Stromstrke und Spannung konstant bleiben; oder wenn bei
Verwendung von stromgeregelten Ladegerten die Ladespannung nicht weiter
ansteigt, das automatische Ladegert ausgeschaltet wird oder es auf
Ladeerhaltung umschaltet.
- Sorgen Sie whrend des Ladens fr gute Belftung.

4. Wartung
VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM Batterien sind zu 100% wartungsfrei.
Die Entgasungsverschlsse drfen nicht geffnet werden und es darf whrend
des gesamten Verwendungszeitraums kein Wasser nachgefllt werden. Halten
Sie die Oberflche der Batterie sauber und trocken und verwenden Sie zur
Reinigung ausschlielich ein feuchtes Tuch.
5. Auerbetriebnahme
- An khlem, trockenem Ort lagern.
- Prfen Sie die Batteriespannung alle 9 Monate und laden Sie die Batterie
wieder auf, wenn die Spannung weniger als 12,50 Volt betrgt.
- Verbleibt die Batterie im Fahrzeug, klemmen Sie den negativen Anschluss ab.
6. Batteriebank
- Es wird empfohlen, nicht mehr als 4 Batterien seriell/parallel miteinander zu
verbinden.
- Verbinden Sie stets ausschlielich Batterien miteinander, deren Typ, Kapazitt,
Alter und Ladezustand identisch sind.

WARNING Notes and Safety regulations

Warnings and safety guidelines for filled, sealed lead batteries with absorbed electrolyte.
Carefully read the entire operating instructions before starting any operations regarding the battery.
Always adhere to battery instructions, in both the operating instructions and in the
vehicle operating instructions. Keep these operating instructions with the vehicle
manual.
Wear goggles for protection when working with the battery.
Keep acid and batteries out of the reach of children.
Fire, sparks, naked lights and smoking prohibited:
- Avoid the formation of sparks when handling cables and electrical equipment
as well as those caused by electrostatic discharge.
- Clean with a damp cloth only and wear appropriate clothing.
- Avoid short-circuits.
Danger of explosion:
An explosive oxyhydrogen gas mixture is formed when batteries are charged.
Corrosive hazard:
- Battery acid is extremely corrosive. Under normal operating conditions, there
should be no contact with the electrolyte (diluted sulphuric acid). Please note
however, that when the battery casing is destroyed or damaged, electrolyte in
its fixed state is just as corrosive as when liquid. Therefore:
- Wear protective gloves and goggles.

First aid:
- Drops of acid coming into contact with the eyes should be
rinsed for several minutes using clear water. Then consult a
doctor immediately.
- Drops of acid on the skin or clothes should be neutralised
immediately using acid neutraliser or soap suds and rinsed
with plenty of water.
- If acid is ingested, consult a doctor immediately.
Warning:
The battery casing becomes brittle with time, therefore:
- Do not expose batteries to direct sunlight.
- Discharged batteries can freeze so store in a place where
they are protected from frost.
Disposal:
Dispose of old batteries at an authorised collection point only.
Never dispose of old batteries in household waste! ecosteps

1. Transportation
The VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM (AGM Technology battery) complies with
the leak-proof requirement as per UN2800, as such for transportation the
AGM battery is not regarded as a hazardous substance. However the battery
must be secured against falling over, short circuiting, sliding and damage.
Short circuits must be avoided as the batteries have an extremely high full
load output which can lead to ignition.
Leave the protective terminal covers in place.
Leave the vent of the battery open.
2. Installation in the vehicle and removal from the vehicle
- Always refer to the vehicle's owners manual.
- Batteries that are delivered ready-filled with acid are ready for use.
- Attention! Interruption of the voltage can lead to malfunction of various
electronic components (vehicle immobilisation systems, radio, etc.).
- Only install sufficiently charged batteries (minimum 12.50 V open-circuit
voltage).
- Prior to removal of the battery switch off all electrical systems.
- When removing the battery, first disconnect the negative terminal (), then
the positive terminal (+).
- Prior to installation of the battery, clean the vehicles battery tray.
- Clean the battery terminals and terminal connection and/or apply acid free
grease in accordance with the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.
- Secure the battery firmly; use the equipment supplied for securing the
original battery.
- After having fitted the battery in the vehicle, remove the protective cap from
the positive terminal and place it on the terminal of the replaced battery in
order to avoid short circuits and sparks.
- Make sure the terminal clamps are firmly secured.
- Take components such as terminal covers, elbow fittings, vent pipe connection and terminal holders (when present) from the battery being replaced and
place them in their corresponding positions on the new battery.
- Leave the vent of the battery open.

3. External charging
Charging operations are described in EN 50342-1.
Only use a suitable direct current charger. Follow its instructions for use.
- Recommendation:
a.) Standard charging method:
IU charging characteristics with I = 25% of nominal capacity.
The maximum charging voltage should be 14.114.8 V.
b.) Permanent charge:
Limit charging voltage to 13.6513.8 V.

If charging voltage is below 13.2 V (2.20 V/cell) an additional charge with
higher voltage is necessary at regular intervals to ensure the battery is

completely charged.
In alternative use charger with IUoU charging characteristics with
I = 10% of nominal capacity.
- The open-circuit voltage after charge should be 12.712.8 V.
- For every 0.1 V difference to 12.7/12.8 V the battery should be charged for
1 hour.
- Never charge frozen batteries or batteries with a temperature above 40 C
or warm to the touch.
- Connect the positive battery terminal (+) with the positive charger terminal,
and the negative battery terminal with the negative charger terminal.
- Do not turn on the charger until the battery has been fully connected.
- When charging is complete, first turn off the charger.
- Stop charging if the battery becomes hot or acid escapes!
- The battery is fully charged when (see indication in the operating manual for
the charger) in the case of voltage regulated chargers current and voltage
remain constant; in the case of current regulated chargers when the charging
voltage has stopped rising, the automatic charger shuts off or switches it over
to charge maintenance.
- When charging, ensure good ventilation.

4. Maintenance
VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM are 100% maintenance free.
The battery lid must not be openend and no water shall be added for their
entire period of use. Keep the surface of the battery clean and dry and use a
damp cloth only for wiping.

5. Taking out of operation

- Store in a cool dry place.
- Check battery voltage every 9 months and recharge if it is below 12.50 volts.
- If the battery is left on the vehicle, disconnect the negative terminal.

- Always connect only batteries of the same type, capacity, age and state of

MISES EN GARDE et consignes de scurit

Veuillez lire attentivement le mode d'emploi avant toute manipulation de la batterie.
Lisez attentivement les informations figurant sur la batterie, son mode d'emploi et
le manuel du vhicule. Conservez ce mode d'emploi avec le manuel du vhicule.
Portez toujours des lunettes de protection lorsque vous manipulez la batterie.
Conservez lacide et la batterie hors de porte des enfants.
Tenir la batterie loigne de tout feu, flamme ou tincelleet interdiction de fumer:
- vitez la formation dtincelles lorsque vous manipulez cbles et quipements
lectriques et lors de dcharges lectrostatiques.
- Nettoyez-la uniquement avec un chiffon humidifi et portez des vtements
appropris.
- vitez tout court-circuit.
Danger d'explosion :
Lorsque les batteries se chargent il y a formation dun gaz explosif appel
oxyhydrogne.
Risque de brlure:
- Lacide que contient la batterie est extrmement corrosif. Dans des conditions
dutilisation normales il ny a aucun contact avec llectrolyte (acide sulfurique
dilu). Veuillez cependant noter, en cas dendommagement ou de destruction
du bac de la batterie, que llectrolyte qui en est issu est tout aussi corrosif que
llectrolyte liquide. C'est pourquoi :
- Portez toujours des gants et des lunettes de protection.

Premiers secours :
- En cas de projection dacide dans les yeux, rincez immdiatement leau claire pendant plusieurs minutes, puis consultez
un mdecin sans attendre.
- En cas de projection dacide sur la peau ou les vtements,
utilisez immdiatement un neutraliseur dacide ou une solution savonneuse puis rincez abondamment leau claire.
- Consultez immdiatement un mdecin en cas dingestion
dacide.
Mise en garde :
Le bac de la batterie devient cassant avec le temps,
cest pourquoi:
- Ne lexposez pas directement aux rayons du soleil.
- Une batterie dcharge peut geler, il est donc recommand
de la stocker labri du gel.

1. Transport
Les VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM (batteries technologie AGM) rpondent
aux exigences d'tanchit de la norme UN2800. Les batteries AGM ne sont
donc pas considres commes des substances dangereuses transporter.
Elles doivent cependant tre protges contre tout renversement, court-circuit,
glissement ou endommagement. viter tout court-circuit car ces batteries sont
trs puissantes et prsentent un risque dinflammation.
Laisser les capuchons de protection en place.
Laisser un orifice de dgazage ouvert.
Si possible fermer lautre avec un bouchon borgne.
2. Montage et dmontage
- Toujours suivre les indications figurant dans le manuel du vhicule.
- Les batteries livres remplies sont prtes lemploi.
- Attention ! Toute interruption de tension peut entraner le dysfonctionnement
de divers composants lectriques (systme antidmarrage, radio, etc.).
- La batterie doit tre suffisamment charge (minimum 12,5 V en circuit ouvert)
avant dtre monte.
- Couper le moteur et tous les systmes lectriques avant denlever la batterie.
- Pour enlever la batterie, dconnecter dabord la borne ngative (), puis la
borne positive (+).
- Nettoyer le logement de la batterie dans le vhicule avant de la monter.
- Nettoyer les bornes de la batterie et les raccords et/ou appliquer dessus une
fine couche de graisse sans acide en suivant les instructions du constructeur
automobile.
- Fixer fermement la batterie en utilisant les accessoires dorigine.
- Aprs avoir mont la batterie, retirer le capuchon de protection de la borne
positive et le placer sur celle de la batterie usage afin dviter tout court-circuit ou tincelle.
- Assurez-vous que les cosses soient bien fixes.
- Rutilisez les accessoires de la batterie usage tels que capuchons de protection, raccords angulaires, tuyaux de dgazage et dispositifs de fixation (sil y
en a) et fixez-les aux endroits correspondants.

- Laisser un orifice de dgazage ouvert. Fermer lautre laide du bouchon

borgne fourni avec la batterie ou prenez celui de la batterie usage. Ceci, afin
dviter tout risque dexplosion.
3. Charge externe
La procdure de charge est dcrite par la norme EN 50342-1.
Utiliser uniquement un chargeur appropri courant continu et suivre le
mode demploi. Retirer la batterie du vhicule avant de la charger ou sassurer quelle est bien dconnecte.
- Recommandations :
a) Charge standard
Caractristique de charge IU avec 25% de la capacit nominale.
La tension de charge maximale doit tre situe entre 14,1 et 14,8 V.
b) Charge permanente
Tension de charge maximale : 13,6513,8 V
Si la tension de charge est infrieure 13,2 V (2,20 V/lment), recharger la
batterie intervalles rguliers avec une tension plus leve pour tre sr
qu'elle est entirement recharge. Ou utiliser un chargeur IUoU avec 10%
de la capacit nominale.
- La tension en circuit ouvert aprs charge doit tre situe entre 12,7 et 12,8 V.
- Pour combler chaque cart de 0,1 V par rapport la valeur optimale de
12,7/12,8 V, la batterie doit tre recharge pendant une heure.
- Ne jamais charger des batteries geles, des batteries dont la temprature
dpasse 40 C ou vous paraissent chaudes au toucher.
- Connecter la borne positive de la batterie (+) avec la borne positive (+) du chargeur et la borne ngative de la batterie avec la borne ngative du chargeur.
- Ne pas mettre le chargeur sous tension avant davoir entirement connect
la batterie.
- Quand la batterie est entirement recharge, mettre tout d'abord le chargeur
hors tension.
- Interrompez la procdure de charge si la batterie chauffe ou si de lacide
scoule!

- La batterie est entirement recharge lorsque, avec un chargeur rgulateur

de tension, le courant et la tension demeurent constants (voir le mode demploi du chargeur); ou, avec un chargeur rgulateur de courant, lorsque la
tension de charge naugmente plus, le chargeur automatique steint ou passe
en maintien de charge.
- Veillez une bonne aration lors de la charge.
4. Maintenance
Les VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM ne requirent absolument aucun entretien.
Ne pas ouvrir les soupapes de dgazage et ne pas rajouter deau durant
toute la dure dutilisation. Maintenir la surface de la batterie propre et sche,
la nettoyer uniquement avec un chiffon humidifi.
5. Mise hors service
- Entreposer la batterie au frais et au sec
- Contrler la tension de la batterie tous les 9 mois et rechargez-la si elle est
infrieure 12,5 V.
- Dbrancher la borne ngative si la batterie reste dans le vhicule.
6. Range de batteries
- Il est recommand de ne jamais connecter plus de 4 batteries en srie/parallle.
- Uniquement connecter des batteries de type, de capacit, d'ge et de niveau
de charge identiques.

Lea atentamente las instrucciones de funcionamiento completas antes de iniciar cualquier operacin relacionada con la batera.
Tenga en cuenta toda la informacin relacionada con la batera, tanto en las
instrucciones de funcionamiento de la propia batera como en las del vehculo.
Mantenga estas instrucciones de funcionamiento junto con el manual del vehculo.
Al realizar trabajos en la batera se deben utilizar gafas de proteccin.
Mantenga el cido y las bateras fuera del alcance de los nios.

Primeros auxilios:
- Si alguna gota de cido entra en contacto con los ojos,
enjuguelos con agua corriente durante varios minutos.
A continuacin, consulte sin demora a un mdico.
- Si cae alguna gota de cido en la piel o en la ropa, se
debe neutralizar inmediatamente con neutralizador de cido
o espuma de jabn, y enjuagarse con abundante agua.
- Si se ingiere cido, acuda inmediatamente al mdico.

Est prohibido fumar, as como el fuego, las chispas y las fuentes de luz abiertas:
- Evite que salten chispas al manipular cables y equipos elctricos, as como

Cuando se cargan las bateras, se forma una mezcla explosiva de gas detonante.

Eliminacin:
Deseche las bateras viejas nicamente en puntos de recogida

Riesgo de corrosin:
- El cido de la batera es extremadamente corrosivo. En condiciones de funcionamiento normales, no debera producirse ningn contacto con el electrolito (cido
sulfrico diluido). Sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que, cuando la carcasa de la
batera est destruida o daada, el electrolito en estado fijado es tan corrosivo
como en estado lquido. Por lo tanto:
- Utilice guantes y gafas de seguridad.

1. Transporte
La batera VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM (con tecnologa AGM) cumple el
requisito de estar diseada a prueba de derrames tal como establece la
norma UN2800, por lo que, a efectos de transporte, la batera AGM no est
considerada una sustancia peligrosa. No obstante, la batera se debe asegurar
contra cadas, cortocircuitos, deslizamientos y daos. Se deben evitar los
cortocircuitos, pues las bateras cuentan con una salida de plena carga extremadamente alta, lo que puede provocar su ignicin.
Deje colocadas las cubiertas protectoras de los bornes.
Deje un orificio de ventilacin de la batera abierto.
Si procede, cierre el otro orificio de ventilacin con un tapn ciego.
2. Instalacin en el vehculo y extraccin del mismo
- Consulte siempre el manual de instrucciones del vehculo.
- Las bateras que se entregan llenas estn listas para su uso.
- Atencin: La interrupcin del voltaje puede provocar el funcionamiento
incorrecto de diversos componentes electrnicos (sistemas de inmovilizacin
del vehculo, radio, etc.).
- Instale nicamente bateras suficientemente cargadas (voltaje de circuito
abierto como mnimo de 12,50 V).
- Antes de retirar la batera, apague todos los sistemas elctricos.
- Al retirar la batera, desconecte primero el terminal negativo () y despus
el positivo (+).
- Antes de instalar la batera, limpie la bandeja de la batera que se encuentra
en el vehculo.
- Limpie los terminales de la batera y la conexin del terminal y/o aplique
grasa sin cido de acuerdo con las instrucciones del fabricante del vehculo.
- Ancle la batera firmemente; utilice el equipamiento de anclaje original.
- Tras montar la batera en el vehculo, retire la tapa protectora del borne
positivo y colquela en el borne de la batera reemplazada para evitar
cortocircuitos y chispas.
- Asegrese de que las pinzas de los terminales estn asentadas firmemente.
- Retire de la batera reemplazada componentes como las cubiertas de los

terminales, los codos de sujecin, la conexin del tubo de ventilacin y los

soportes de los terminales (si estn presentes), y colquelos en sus posiciones correspondientes.
- Deje un orificio de ventilacin abierto. Cierre el otro orificio de ventilacin
con el tapn ciego suministrado con la batera, o utilice el tapn ciego de la
batera reemplazada. De lo contrario, existe riesgo de explosin.
3. Carga externa
Las operaciones de carga se describen en la norma EN 50342-1.
Utilice nicamente un cargador de corriente continua adecuado. Siga sus
instrucciones de uso.
Retire la batera del vehculo para cargarla, o asegrese de desconectar
los cables de la batera.
- Recomendacin:
a.) Mtodo de carga estndar:
Caractersticas de carga IU con I=25% de la capacidad nominal.
El voltaje de carga mximo deber ser 14,114,8 V.
b.) Carga permanente:
Limite el voltaje de carga a 13,6513,8 V.
En caso de que el voltaje de carga est por debajo de 13,2 V (2,20 V/celda)
ser necesaria una carga adicional con un voltaje superior a intervalos
regulares para asegurarse de que la batera est completamente cargada.
Como alternativa utilice un cargador con caractersticas de carga IUoU con
I=10% de la capacidad nominal.
- El voltaje de circuito abierto tras la carga deber ser de 12,712,8 V.
- Por cada 0,1 V de diferencia respecto a 12,7/12,8 V, la batera deber cargarse
durante 1 hora.
- Nunca cargue bateras congeladas, ni bateras con temperaturas superiores a
los 40 C ni calientes al tacto.
- Conecte el terminal positivo de la batera (+) con el terminal positivo del cargador, y el terminal negativo de la batera con el terminal negativo del cargador.
- No encienda el cargador hasta que se haya conectado completamente la batera.
- Cuando se haya completado la carga, desconecte en primer lugar el cargador.
- Detenga la carga si la batera se calienta o si se escapa cido.

- La batera est totalmente cargada (vase indicacin en el manual de funcionamiento del cargador) cuando, en el caso de cargadores regulados
por voltaje, la corriente y el voltaje permanecen constantes; en el caso de
cargadores regulados por corriente, cuando el voltaje de carga deja de
aumentar, se apaga el cargador automtico o pasa a mantenimiento de carga.
- Durante la carga, asegrese de que existe una buena ventilacin.
4. Mantenimiento
VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM no requieren absolutamente ningn
tipo de mantenimiento.
No se deben abrir los tapones de los orificios de ventilacin ni aadirse
agua en todo su perodo de uso. Mantenga la superficie de la batera limpia
y seca, y utilice nicamente un pao hmedo.
5. Puesta fuera de servicio
- Almacene la batera en un lugar fresco y seco.
- Compruebe el voltaje de la batera cada nueve meses, y recrguela si
es inferior a 12,50 voltios.
- Si la batera se deja en el vehculo, desconecte el terminal negativo.
6. Banco de bateras
- Se recomienda no conectar ms de cuatro bateras en una conexin en
serie/paralelo.
- Conecte nicamente bateras del mismo tipo, capacidad, antigedad y
estado de carga.

AVVERTENZE e norme di sicurezza

Avvertenze e linee guida per la sicurezza delle batterie al piombo riempite e sigillate, con elettrolito fissato.
Leggere attentamente tutte le istruzioni per luso prima di effettuare qualunque operazione con la batteria.
Attenersi alle informazioni riportate sulla batteria, alle istruzioni per luso della
batteria e al manuale del veicolo. Conservare le istruzioni per luso della batteria
insieme al manuale del veicolo.
Indossare occhiali di protezione quando si lavora con la batteria.

Primo soccorso:
- Nel caso in cui gocce dacido vengano a contatto con gli
occhi, sciacquare con acqua per vari minuti. Quindi consultare immediatamente un medico.
- Le gocce di acido sulla pelle o sugli abiti vanno neutralizzate
immediatamente con un neutralizzante per acido o acqua
saponata, e sciacquate abbondantemente con acqua.
- In caso di ingestione di acido, consultare subito un medico.

Tenere lacido e le batterie fuori dalla portata dei bambini.

Tenersi lontani da fuoco, scintille, lampade a fiamma libera e sigarette accese:
- Evitare la formazione di scintille quando si maneggiano cavi ed equipaggiamento elettrico, oltre alle scintille provocate da scarica elettrostatica.
- Pulire solo con un panno umido e indossare indumenti adeguati.
- Evitare corti circuiti.
Pericolo di corrosione:
Durante la carica delle batterie si forma una miscela ossidrica esplosiva.
Corrosive hazard:
- -Lacido delle batterie estremamente corrosivo. In condizioni duso normali non
si dovrebbe venire a contatto con lelettrolito (acido solforico diluito). Tuttavia
bisogna tenere presente che, quando linvolucro della batteria rotto o danneggiato, lelettrolito fissato corrosivo quanto quello allo stato liquido. Perci:
- Indossare guanti e occhiali di protezione.

Avvertenza:
Con il tempo linvolucro diventa fragile, perci:
- Non esporre le batterie alla luce diretta del sole.
- Le batterie scariche possono gelarsi, quindi vanno conservate al riparo dal gelo.
Smaltimento:
Smaltire le batterie esauste soltanto in un punto di raccolta
autorizzato. Non smaltire mai le batterie esauste insieme ai

1. Trasporto
La VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM (batteria con tecnologia AGM) conforme
al requisito a prova di perdite imposto dalla UN2800; di conseguenza il
trasporto di batterie AGM non considerato trasporto di merci pericolose.
La batteria va comunque protetta da ribaltamento, corto circuito, scivolamento
e danneggiamento. I corti circuiti vanno evitati perch le batterie producono
una corrente a pieno carico molto elevata che pu provocare scintille.
Non rimuovere i copripoli.
Lasciare aperta una valvola di sfogo della batteria.
Chiudere laltra valvola con un tappo.
2. Istallazione sul veicolo e disinstallazione
- Fare sempre riferimento al manuale del veicolo.
- Le batterie vendute riempite sono pronte alluso.
- Attenzione! Linterruzione della tensione pu causare il malfunzionamento di
vari componenti elettronici (sistemi di immobilizzazione del veicolo, radio ecc.).
- Installare soltanto batterie caricate a sufficienza (tensione minima a circuito
aperto 12,50 V).
- Prima di disinstallare la batteria spegnere tutti i sistemi elettrici.
- Quando si disinstalla la batteria, disconnettere prima il polo negativo (),
quindi quello positivo (+).
- Prima di installare la batteria, pulire larea del veicolo su cui poggia la batteria.
- Pulire i poli della batteria e i connettori dei poli e/o applicare grasso privo di
acido a seconda delle istruzioni fornite dalla casa produttrice del veicolo.
- Ancorare saldamente la batteria; usare gli elementi di fissaggio originali.
- Dopo aver installato la batteria nel veicolo, rimuovere il copripolo dal polo positivo e collocarlo sul polo della batteria usata per evitare corti circuiti e scintille.
- Assicurarsi che i morsetti dei poli siano fissati saldamente.
- Rimuovere i componenti quali copripoli, raccordi a gomito, connettore tubo
di sfiato e supporti morsetti (quando presenti) dalla batteria usata e collocarli
nelle rispettive posizioni.
- Lasciare una valvola di scarico aperta. Chiudere laltra valvola con il tappo
fornito con la batteria o rimuovere il tappo dalla batteria usata. Altrimenti
sussiste il rischio di esplosione.

3. Carica esterna
Le operazioni di carica sono descritte nella norma EN 50342-1. Usare soltanto
un caricabatterie a corrente continua adeguato. Seguire le istruzioni per luso
del caricabatterie. Togliere la batteria dal veicolo per caricarla oppure assicurarsi di aver disconnesso i cavi della batteria.
- Raccomandazione:
a.) Metodo di carica standard:
Curva di carica IU con I = 25% della capacit nominale.
La tensione di carica massima dovrebbe essere di 14,114,8 V.
b.) Carica permanente:
Limitare la tensione di carica a 13,6513,8 V.
Se la tensione di carica inferiore a 13,2 V (2,20 V/cella) si rende
necessaria unulteriore carica con tensione superiore, a intervalli regolari,
per avere la certezza che la batteria si ricarichi completamente.
In alternativa usare un caricabatterie con curva IUoU dove I=10% della
capacit nominale.
- La tensione a circuito aperto dopo la carica dovrebbe essere di 12,712,8 V.
- Per ogni 0,1 V di differenza fino a 12,7/12,8 V la batteria andrebbe caricata
per 1 ora.
- Non caricare mai una batteria gelata o una batteria con una temperatura
superiore ai 40 C o calda al tatto.
- Collegare il polo positivo (+) della batteria con il polo positivo del caricabatterie, e il polo negativo della batteria con il polo negativo del caricabatterie.
- Non accendere il caricabatterie finch la batteria non completamente
collegata.
- A carica ultimata, per prima cosa spegnere il caricabatterie.
- Smettere di caricare se la batteria si scalda o fuoriesce dellacido!
- La batteria completamente carica quando (vedi indicazione nel manuale
duso del caricabatterie), nel caso di caricabatterie a tensione regolata,
corrente e tensione restano costanti; nel caso di caricabatterie a corrente
regolata, quando la tensione di carica smette di aumentare e il caricatore
automatico si spegne o commuta in carica di mantenimento.
- Assicurarsi che durante la carica lambiente sia adeguatamente ventilato.

4. Manutenzione
Le VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM sono a manutenzione zero.
I tappi delle valvole di sfogo non vanno aperti e non c bisogno di rabboccare
lacqua per lintera vita della batteria. Mantenere pulita e asciutta la superficie
della batteria e usare soltanto un panno umido.

5. Mettere la batteria a riposo

- Riporla in luogo fresco e asciutto.
- Controllare la tensione della batteria ogni 9 mesi e ricaricare se scende
al di sotto dei 12,50 volt.
- Se non si toglie la batteria dal veicolo, disconnettere il polo negativo.

Use sempre culos de proteco quando operar com a bateria.
Mantenha o cido e as baterias fora do alcance das crianas.
Proibio de fogo, fascas, incidncia de luz directa e de fumar:
- Evite a formao de fascas ao lidar com cabos e equipamento elctrico
bem como aquelas provocadas por descargas electrostticas.
- Limpe a bateria com um pano hmido e use vesturio adequado.
- Evite curto-circuitos.
Perigo de exploso:
Ao carregar a bateria, forma-se uma mistura explosiva de gs oxi-hidrognio.
Perigo corrosivo:
- O cido de baterias extremamente corrosivo. Em condies de operao normais, no se entra em contacto com o electrlito (cido sulfrico diludo). No
entanto, considere que, se a caixa da bateria estiver destruda ou danificada, o
electrlito to corrosivo no estado slido como no estado lquido. Por isso:
- Use luvas e culos de proteco.

Primeiro-socorro:
- Enxage as gotas de cido que entrarem em contacto
com os olhos com gua limpa abundante durante alguns
minutos. Em seguida, consulte imediatamente um mdico.
- Gotas de cido na pele ou no vesturio, devem ser neutralizadas imediatamente com um agente neutralizador de
cidos ou uma soluo de sabo, e enxaguadas com gua
abundante.
- No caso de ingesto de cido, consulte imediatamente
um mdico.
Advertncia:
Com o tempo, a caixa vai-se fragilizando, por isso:
- No exponha as baterias incidncia directa da luz solar.
- Baterias descarregadas podem congelar; guarde-as num
local protegido da geada.
Eliminao:
Elimine as baterias gastas unicamente em pontos de recolha
autorizados. Nunca elimine baterias gastas atravs do lixo

1. Transporte
A VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM (bateria de tecnologia AGM) satisfaz os
requisitos de segurana prova de derrame nos termos da norma UN2800
pelo que uma bateria AGM no considerada produto de transporte perigoso.
No entanto, a bateria tem que estar protegida para no tombar/cair e contra
curto-circuito, escorregamento e danificao. Deve evitar-se curto-circuitos
uma vez que as baterias dispem de uma carga extremamente alta que pode

2. Montagem e desmontagem da bateria no veculo.
- Siga sempre as instrues contidas no manual de instrues do veculo.
- As baterias que so fornecidas j cheias, esto prontas para uso.
- Ateno! A interrupo da tenso pode levar disfuno de vrios componentes electrnicos (sistemas de imobilizao do veculo, rdio, etc.).
- Monte somente baterias suficientemente carregadas (mnimo 12.50 V de
tenso de circuito aberto).
- Antes de retirar a bateria, desligue todos os sistemas elctricos.
- Ao retirar a bateria, desligue primeiro o plo negativo () e depois o plo
positivo (+).
- Antes de montar a bateria, limpe a bandeja de assentamento da mesma no
veculo.
- Limpe os plos da bateria e as braadeiras e/ou aplique massa consistente
livre de cidos, de acordo com as instrues do fabricante do veculo.
- Fixe a bateria devidamente; utilize o equipamento de fixao original.
- Depois de montar a bateria no veculo, retire a cpsula de proteco do plo
positivo e coloque-a no plo correspondente da bateria que desmontou, para
evitar curto-circuitos e a formao de fascas.
- Certifique-se de que as braadeiras esto bem apertadas.
- Retire da bateria substituda, os componentes tais como cpsulas de proteco dos plos, cotovelos, unio para o tubo flexvel de sada do gs e suporte
dos plos (caso existam) e coloque-os nos stios correspondentes.

- Deixe um orifcio de sada do gs da bateria aberto. Feche o outro orifcio

de sada do gs com o tampo raso includo no volume de fornecimento da
bateria ou aproveite o tampo raso da bateria substituda. Seno corre-se
risco de exploso.
3. Carregamento externo
O modo de carregamento est descrito na norma EN 50342-1. Utilize unicamente um carregador adequado de corrente contnua. Siga as indicaes contidas no respectivo manual de instrues. Retire a bateria do veculo para a
carregar ou certifique-se de que os cabos esto desligados.
- Recomendao:
a.) Mtodo de carregamento normal:
Caractersticas de carregamento IU com I=25% da capacidade nominal.
A tenso mxima de carga de 14.114.4 V.
b.) Carregamento permanente:
Limite a tenso de carga a 13.6513.8 V.
Se a tenso de carga estiver abaixo de 13.2 V (2.20 V/clula), so neces srios carregamentos adicionais com uma tenso maior em intervalos
regulares para assegurar que a bateria est completamente carregada.
Opcionalmente pode utilizar um carregador de caractersticas IUoU com

I=10% da capacidade nominal.
- A tenso de circuito aberto depois do carregamento devia ser 12.712.8 V.
- Por cada 0.1 V de diferena de 12.7 / 12.8 V, a bateria devia ser carregada 1 hora.
- Nunca carregue baterias congeladas nem baterias com uma temperatura
superior a 40 C ou que estejam quentes ao tocar-lhe.
- Ligue o plo positivo (+) da bateria ao plo positivo do carregador e o plo
negativo da bateria ao plo negativo do carregador.
- No ligue o carregador antes da ligao bateria estar completamente estabelecida.
- Quando o carregamento estiver concludo, desligue primeiro o carregador.
- Interrompa o carregamento se a bateria aquecer ou derramar cido!
- Aquando da utilizao de carregadores de tenso controlada, a bateria est
completamente carregada (consultar a indicao no manual de instrues do
carregador) quando os amperes e a tenso estiverem constantes ou, aquando
da utilizao de carregadores controlados por corrente, a tenso de carga no

subir mais, o carregador automtico se desligar ou comutar para manuteno

da carga.
- Previna uma boa ventilao durante o carregamento.
4. Manuteno
As baterias VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM so 100% livres de manuteno.
Os orifcios de sada do gs no devem ser abertos nem se deve adicionar
gua ao longo da vida util da bateria.
5. Colocao fora de servio
- Guarde a bateria num stio fresco e seco.
- Verifique a tenso da bateria cada 9 meses e recarregue-a se ela estiver
abaixo de 12.50 volts.
- Se deixar a bateria montada no veculo, desligue o terminal do plo negativo.
6. Banco de baterias
- Recomenda-se no ligar mais de 4 baterias numa ligao de srie/parela.
- Ligue somente baterias do mesmo tipo, mesma capacidade, mesma idade
e mesmo estado de carga.

1. Transport
VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM (AGM-batteri) uppfyller kraven p lckskerhet enligt UN2800 och rknas drfr inte som farligt gods vid transport.
Batteriet mste emellertid skras s att det inte kan vlta, kortslutas, glida
eller skadas. Kortslutningar mste undvikas eftersom batterierna har extremt
hg uteffekt och kan antndas.

Stng ev den andra ppningen med en plugg (medfljer).
2. Montering och demontering
- Konsultera alltid fordonets manual.
- Batterier som r fyllda vid leveransen kan anvndas direkt.
- Akta! Om spnningen bryts kan olika elektroniska komponenter (immobilizer
radio etc.) sluta fungera.
- Installera bara tillrckligt laddade batterier (minst 12,50V tomgngsspnning)
- Stng av alla elektriska system innan du monterar ur batteriet.
- Koppla frst bort den negativa () och sedan den positiva (+) polen nr du
monterar ur batteriet.
- Rengr utrymmet dr batteriet ska vara innan du installerar batteriet.
- Rengr batteriets poler och anslutningar och smrj dem med syrafritt fett
enligt fordonstillverkarens anvisningar.
- Frankra batteriet ordentligt med originalutrustningen.

3. Extern laddning
Laddningsprocedurerna beskrivs i EN 50342-1.
Anvnd endast en lmplig likstrmsladdare.
- Rekommendation:
a.) Standardladdning:
IU-laddning med I=10% av nominell kapacitet.
Maximal laddningsspnning ska vara 14,114,4V.
b.) Permanent laddning:
Begrnsa laddspnningen till 13,38V (2,23V/cell).
Om laddspnningen ligger under 13,2V (2,20V/cell) krvs en extra
uppladdning med hgre spnning med jmna mellanrum fr att batteriet
skert ska bli fullt uppladdat.
Alternativt kan man anvnda en IUoU-laddare med I=10% av nominell
kapacitet.
c.) Ladda fr att undvika skiktning av batterisyran
Anvnd IU-laddning med en hgre laddspnning (upp till 16V). En sdan
"verladdning" fr bara pg under en kortare tid fr att undvika vatten-
frluster.
- OCV-efterladdning ska gras med 12,712,8V.
- Fr varje 0,1 V som tomgngsspnningen r under 12,712,8V ska batteriet
laddas i 1 timme.
- Ladda aldrig frusna batterier eller batterier med en temperatur p ver 45 C
eller som knns varma nr man tar i dem.
- Koppla den positiva polen (+) till den positiva anslutningen och den negativa
polen () till den negativa anslutningen p laddaren.
- Stt inte p laddaren frrn batteriet r anslutet till laddaren.
- Nr batteriet r fulladdat, stng frst av laddaren.
- Sluta ladda om batteriet blir hett eller lcker ut syra!

1. Kuljetus
VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM -akku (valmistettu AGM-teknologialla) on
vuotamaton ja tytt UN2800-normin vaatimukset. Tst syyst AGM-akkujen
kuljetuksessa ei tarvitse noudattaa vaarallisten aineiden kuljetuksesta annettuja sdksi. Siit huolimatta akut on kiinnitettv siten, ett ne eivt pse
kaatumaan, liikkumaan paikaltaan tai vahingoittumaan, eik kuljetuksen aikana
aiheudu oikosulkua. Oikosulkujen estminen on trke, sill akut ovat erittin

2. Akun asentaminen ajoneuvoon ja irrottaminen ajoneuvosta
- Noudata aina huolellisesti ajoneuvon kyttohjekirjan ohjeita.

- Akumulator bi se naj polnil eno uro z 0,1 V diference na 12,7/12,8 V.
- Nikoli ne polnite zamrznjenega akumulatorja ali akumulatorjev s temperaturo, ki je
veja kot 40 C ali akumulatorje, pri katerih ob dotiku zautite, da so topli.
- Pozitiven prikljuek (+) akumulatorja prikljuite na pozitiven prikljuek polnilne
naprave, negativen prikljuek akumulatorja prikljuite na negativen prikljuek polnilne naprave.
- Polnilne naprave ne vklopite dokler akumulator ni pravilno prikljuen.
- Ko je akumulator napolnjen, najprej izklopite polnilno napravo.
- e akumulator postane vro ali pa zane iztekati kislina, takoj prekinite polnjenje!
- Akumulator je napolnjen, e (glej nasvet v navodilih za uporabo polnilne naprave)
pri uporabi polnilne naprave z regulirano napetostjo, jakost toka in napetost ostaneta konstantna; ali e pri uporabi polnilnih naprav z regulirano napetostjo napetost ve ne naraa, se izklopi avtomatska polnilna naprava ali pa se preklopi na
ohranjanje stanja napolnjenosti.
- Med polnjenjem poskrbite za dobro prezraevanje.

4. Vzdrevanje
Akumulatorjev VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM ni potrebno vzdrevati.
Pokrov akumulatorja se ne sme odstraniti. Med celotnim asom uporabe se
ne sme dodajati voda. Povrina akumulatorja mora biti ista in suha, za ienje
pa se naj uporablja samo vlana krpa.

5. Odstranitev iz obratovanja
- Hranite v hladnem in suhem prostoru.
- Na vsakih 9 mesecev preverite napetost akumulatorja.
e je napetost manja kot 12,50 V, je potrebno akumulator spet napolniti.
- e akumulator ostane v vozilu, odstranite negativno prikljuno objemko.
