Suicide can not only be influenced by internal judgements and fights, but can also be influenced
by environmental factors such as social media cites. Social media is very much related to the
amount of suicide frequency and plays a huge role in it and greatly affects the outcome of more
and more teens committing suicide after experiencing some sort of social scrutiny online. This
journal entry provides statistics and

Perspective." American Journal of Public Health, 102.S2 (2012): S195-S200.
This article goes more into contact with the aspect of how social media reflects and greatly
impacts a community as a whole instead of one person. This article reflects upon how social
media related suicide is and should be more of a public health concern rather than a concern
upon the families of an individual that face it. Social media related suicide is greatly impacted by
the scrutiny that someone would normally face online including bullying of some sort and even
ostracizing of some kind. It is a public health risk and should be taken more seriously.

This article mainly talks about the counter argument that I can use in my essay against my
proposal. In this article, the author describes that there are ways that social media and online
things you can find are more of counter-bullying and help you get over bullying that you might
be facing somewhere or even online as well. There are websites and lines that you can get in
contact with in order to help prevent these kind of outbreaks from occurring or if you have a
friend in need. Suicide is one of the leading causes of death, particularly with young adults and a
serious matter and help is available online. There are planned suicide prevention strategies and
this article includes the fact that people should be more aware about it.

Effect of Media Influence Suicide Rates?." Journal of Economic Studies, 42.3 (2015): 415-432.

The main title of the article explains it all, does the effect of media influence suicide rates?
This passage asks the never ending question if the role of social media is a great impact in todays
societys culture on suicide and suicide related accidents that have occurred during the new
technological age in which kids can now stream and blog on social cites. The authors of this
passage try to take on a more statistic based view by using science/ the empirical world in order
to evaluate the effect that social media has on suicide and suicide attempts. The author discovers
that media is the third motivator for suicide and is very much a social threat to our culture and
society today.

This article online provides us base information on how social media plays a big part in the role
of the large frequency of suicides. Pretty much, social media is now the core standard of how
kids should act and be and are now greatly influenced by what they see online. Most kids seem
to now spend most of their time online and will find anonymous ways of sending blackmail
threats to others for the joy of not being able to get caught. Most kids do it to get attention now
and so that a large array of kids will be able to see them humiliating another person.
