1) Cheese is Gone
The little people had come to view Cheese Station C as their home. They bragged about
it, they were outraged, shocked, scared, and befuddled when Cheese disappeared. Hem
and Haw felt the situation was unfair. It was their cheese, and now it was gone. They
remained in Cheese at Station C hoping that the cheese would return and wondering
where it had gone.
2) Resistance to Change
Haw and Hem decided to waiting for Cheese to return back and they were getting weaker.
One day, Haw thinks it wasnt working, and so he moved into the maze looking for new
Cheese. Hem was hemmed in by his old ideas, and do not if he ever left Cheese Station
C. He may have starved, as the longer he stayed in the Cheese less station, the weaker he
would become.
3) Not try to find another cheese station.
Those little people Hem and Haw became comfortable and didnt notice the change. Each
day the stock of cheese was getting smaller and smaller, until there was no cheese left.
They feel fear and lazy to out from Station C. After few days Haw became aware that his
own fear held him captive and decides to go into the Maze in search for new cheese. But
Haw not tries to find another cheese station and suffer in the same maze.
4) Very arrogant
They each found their own kind of cheese one day at the end of one of the corridors in
Cheese Station C. Hem and Haw followed the same routine for a while, but later on, they
awoke a little later each day, dressed slower, and walked to Station C, always assuming
2
there would be cheese waiting for them. Later, this over confidence turned into
arrogance. They were also dont want to come out from the comfort zone until they were
surprised to find there was no more cheese in Station C.
5) Over thinking.
The little people fears that if they move to another maze or places, it will lead to
something worse. Haw had believed that there may not be any cheese in the maze, or he
may not find it. Such fearful beliefs were immobilizing and killing him.
Besides, Hem and Haw think that it will lead of death because of hunger if they cannot
find the Cheese or other food.
Pro: When the little people take this action, their journey will be safely. They can think
wisely when something bad happens to them. Furthermore, they can get arriving to the
place of the new cheese safely.
Cons: When they take too much precaution action, they will be afraid to move on from
the Station C. Some more they will get confuse with too much of precautionary plans. So
that, they cannot find the new cheese or other foods. They should have confident in their
decision before out from the maze.
After my group overview the whole story, we together made up our minds to highly
recommend that, both of them, Hem and Haw need to work together in order to keep survive,
meaning that to find the cheese or other alternative foods. They need to know their own
advantage or ability like the Sniff and Scurry (mice) have very instincts. While the other two
little people which is Hem and Haw, have a very good complex brain. Hem and Haw became
comfortable and didnt notice the change. Each day the stock of cheese was getting smaller and
smaller, until there was no cheese left. Sniff and scurry noticed the decline due to their simple
but effective daily routine and simply moved on searching the maze for new cheese. Hem and
Haw however were unprepared and Hem shouted Who moved my cheese? . Because cheese is
important to the little people they spent long time thinking, analyzing and trying to decide what
to do. However the result was looking around cheese less station C.
Therefore, our group suggests that Haw and Hem should follow like Sniff and Scurry to
find a cheese by using their very good instinct which Hem and Haw do not have. Finally, Haw
understands the need for change, and although afraid, can be led to appreciate and welcome
change and champion this change for others. By combination of good instinct and good complex
brain, we may ensure they may easily find the way to out of their problem and find the cheese.
So, to conclude, change is always around, but our responses to change can be reflected upon.
How you see the change is the point at which you can make the greatest difference because it
will affect how you respond to it and what you get as a result, which affects how you see the
change and respond. So we must anticipate change, adapt to change quickly, enjoy change and be
ready to change quickly, again and again.
Scurry who just move on and look for new cheese? Or are we going to be like Hem? Stuck in
denial? Not able to move on in the maze to look for new cheese? Alternatively, are we going to
be like Haw? Scared at first, but builds up the courage to move from the safe harbors of the
known to move on in the maze to look for new cheese? Whatever happens, we must be prepared
to overcome the problem.
