Abstract
Jojoba is an evergreen and dioecious shrub, that commercially valuable for it,s seed. The seed containing a
characteristic liquid wax of economic importance in industry, nutrition and medicine (e.g. cosmetics,
anticancer compounds). In recent years, the breeding and biotechnological programs were expand on this
shrub. The extraction of DNA is the first step for such programs. In this study, the optimum method
investigated for genomic DNA extraction, among of two modified CTAB and dellaporta methodes, ttest to
be shown that suitable method for genomic DNA extraction from jojoba leaf is CTAB.
