Experience is an important thing in life.

I want to contribute in IDYF 2016 as I had an

experience that can be shared to the youth from different countries. I live in
Indonesia, a country have a rich in resources, there I was born and grow up, there
also I saw how the problem arises and the impact to the community. It is real
problems that occur in the community, lack of knowledge and education become a
major factor in environmental degradation. As a intellectual young man, I not only
learned and read, but must apply it in daily lives. For that I participate in various
activities in support of education. Through the association and activities, I get a life
experience.
Now, I join in the profession association Student Resource and Environmental
Economic Association (REESA IPB) as vice chairman of the organization. In addition,
I was also the chairman of the environmental action "Costal Clean Up" GREENBASE
IPB, chairman of the national seminar "Ocean for Indonesian People Welfare". I'm
also active on campus and off-campus activities, including one Campus Social
Responsibility which empowers people to make handicraft from recycled paper. In
the organization, I learned many ways to communicate, tolerance, selfless, caring,
critical thinking, hard work and wise in dealing with a problem.

In the case of traditional industries that give negative impact to the environment,
special measures in overcoming it. This is due to several factors that usually exist in
traditional societies, namely knowledge of the environment is minimal and low
household income. To overcome this problem, the need for a comprehensive action
because on the one side the traditional society requires this industry as their
income, but on the other side the cost for the installation of wastewater treatment
is expensive so many people who are not able to make wastewater treatment plant.
The role of youth in overcoming the problems of the local environmental impact of
traditional industries can be through education about the environment to the public.
Education is conveyed about the linkages between environmental, economic and
social in making a prosperous society. Environmental education is done not just
focus just physically but the focus on the thinking of the principles of sustainability
is inherent in society. However, the communicate of environmental education to the
community faced obstacles that difficult people to hear the voice of the youth. For
that youth need to work together with the village in the delivery to the public so
that facilitate communication and implementation in the community.
Environmental education is not enough. Need concrete actions such as creating
technological innovation in the form of youth to help create a wastewater treatment
plant that is cheap and easy making it affordable for local people. This certainly
needs to be supported by the establishment of a set of youth to create synergy in

the implementation of alleviation of environmental damage caused by the

traditional local industry performing well. Youth also can protect the public by
actively supervise and control of government policy making.

Water pollution is an environmental problem that gives a broad impact to various

sectors of life. Water pollution problems caused by the waste industry needs a
serious solution for industrial waste is a negative externality that is perceived by
others. For it must be held pengelohaan privatization of waste water so that the
other party is not aggrieved over the wastewater industry. Industry must have a
waste water treatment plant is good so that the waste generated from industrial
activities do not damage the environment and harm many. Wastewater treatment
plant is used to make safer waste before waste into the environment. Although this
solution is a solution that is commonly applied in different countries, but the
necessary seriousness in doing this.
Regulation is important in regulating procurement policy wastewater treatment
plant. The need for firmness of the government in the implementation of the policy
so that it is really done well. The Government also needs to provide incentives for
companies to carry out the processing of waste properly so that their passion for
conservation.
In addition, water pollution problems can be anticipated through the side of regional
planning. Planning a good industrial area aglomerasi applying system. Aglomerasi
industry is merging into one specific area that is adjacent, in order to facilitate the
development of industry. This system is also used to facilitate waste management
memalui exhaust pipe. Because the industry centralized and close together, it can
facilitate the checking of the implementation of waste management becomes easier
and enforcement costs used is not expensive.
Integrated waste pipe system can also be helpful in better sewage treatment. Waste
collection through a pipe from the central unit of each company to the wastewater
treatment plant will make waste management more efficient in terms of operational
and cost.
