shuklaambaradharam vishnum
shashivarnam chaturbhujam
prasanna-vadanam dhyayet
sarva vighno pashaantaye.
For the removal of all the obstacles in my effort, I meditate upon
Bhagwan Ganesha, who wears a white garment, who is all pervading, who
has a bright complexion(like a full moon), who has four shoulders,
who has an ever-smiling face.

2. Saraswati namastubhyam
varade kaamarupini
vidhyaarambham karishyami
siddhirbhavatu me sada.
Oh Bhagwan Saraswati, I bow to you, the fulfiller of my wishes.
I begin my studies seeking your blessings so that I shall always be
successful.

3. Karaagre vasate Lakshmi


karamadhye Saraswati.
karamule tu Govinda
prabhaate karadarshnam.
Bhagwati Lakshmi dwells at the tip of the hand.In the center of the
palm resides Saraswati, the Bhagwati of wisdom.At the base of the
palm is Govinda.Hence one should look and meditate on the hand early
in the morning.

4. Samudravasane devi
parvatastana mandale
vishnupatni namastubhyam
paadasparsham kshmasva me.
Forgive me Mother Earth, for I have to step on you.Oh Mother, my
salutations to you, who is covered by oceans, whose breasts are the
mountains and who is the consort of Bhagwan Vishnu.

5. Vasudeva sutam devam


kamschanura mardanam
devaki parmaanandam
krishnam vande jagadgurum.

I bow to Shri Krishna, son of Vasudeva, the divine being, guru of the
entire world, the killer of wicked Kamsa and Chaanoora, and the
source of happiness to Mother Devaki.

6. Dhrtih kshama damosteyam soucham indriya nigrahah,


dhirvidhya satyamakrodho dashakam dharmalakshanam.
Steadfastness, forgiveness, control over desires, non-stealing,
cleanliness, control over senses, intelligence, knowledge,
truthfulness and not getting angry: These are the ten essentials
(manifestations) of Dharma.

7. Sarve bhavantu sukhinah


sarve santu niraamyah
sarve bhadhraani pashyantu
ma kaschit dukhbhaagbhavet.
om shantih shantih shantih.
May all live happily. May all enjoy good health. May all see
auspiciousness. May none experience distress. May peace prevail
everywhere.

8. Om asto maa sadgamaya


tamso maa jyotirgamaya
mrutyormaa amrutangamaya
om shantih shantih shantih.
Bhagwan, lead me from Untruth to Truth: Take me from darkness to
light: from death to immortality.Let there be peace all around.

9. Om purnamadam purnamidam purnaat purnamudachyate


purnasya purnamaadaaya purnamevaavashishyate.
om shantih shantih shantih.
OM! That is full. This is full. From that full this full has come;
when this Full is taken from that Full IT always remains Full! Om
Peace, Peace, Peace!

10. Om saha naavavatu


saha nau bhunaktu
saha viryam karavaavahai
tejasvinaavadhitamastu
ma vidvisaavahai
om shantih shantih shantih.
May Bhagwan protect both of us. May we be nourished together. May we

work together. May our studies be brilliant. May we not fight with
each other. Peace Peace Peace.

11. Om bhoor-bhuvah-svaha tat-savitur-varenyam;


bhargo-devasya-dheemahi dhiyo yo nan prachodayaat.
Om! Let us meditate upon the glory of Ishwara, who has created this
universe, who is worthy to be worshipped, who is the remover of all
sins and ignorance. May he enlighten our intellect.

12. Om trayambakam yajamahe


sugandhim pushtivardhanam
urvaarukamiva bandhanan
mrutyormukshiya maamrutaat.
We worship the three-eyed one (Bhagwan Shiva), who is fragrant and
who nourishes all beings; may He liberate us from death for the sake
of immortality, even as the cucumber is severed from its bondage to
the creeper(vine).

13. Gurubrahmaa gururvishhnuH gururdevo maheshvaraH .


guruH saakshaatparabrahma tasmai shrii guravenamaH ..
I prostrate to that Shree Guru, who is himself Brahma, Vishnu, and
God Maheshwara, and who is the very Supreme Absolute itself.

14. Tvameva maataa cha pitaa tvameva .


tvameva bandhushcha sakhaa tvameva .
tvameva vidyaa draviNaM tvameva .
tvameva sarvaM mama devadeva ..
O Lord! Thou (You) are my mother and Thou art my father also;
Thou are my relative and my friend Thou are;
Thou are knowledge and wealth to me;
Thou are my all-in-all, O Lord of Lords.

15. Aakashat Patitam Toyam Yathaa Gachchhati Saagaram


Sarvadeva Namaskaram Keshavam Prati Gachchhati
Just as every raindrop that falls from the sky flows into the ocean,
in the same way, every prayer offered to any deity flows to Keshava
(Lord Krishna).

16. Om! Brahmaarpanam Brahma Havir-brahmaagnau Brahmanaa Hutam

Brahmaiva Tena Gantavyam Brahma-karma-samaadhinaa.


Om! Any process of offering is Brahma, the offering is Brahma, the
instrument of offering is Brahma, and the fire to which the offering
is made is also Brahma.For such a one who abides in Brahma, he alone
reaches Brahma.

17. KarpuuragauraM karuNaavataaraM


sansaarasaaraM bhujagendrahaaram.h .
sadaa vasantaM hridayaaravinde
bhavaM bhavaaniisahitaM namaami ..
I bow to that camphor-hued, white complexioned Lord (Shiva), who is
Incarnation of compassion,
who is the very essence of life (of the embodied soul); Who wears
snakes as garlands,
whose eternal abode is in the heart of the devotee, I bow to Him
(Lord Shiva) and His consort Bhavani (Uma or Paarvati).

18. Ya Kundendu Tushaara Haara Dhavalaa


Ya Shubhra Vastraavrita
Ya Veena Vara Danda Manditakara
Ya Shveta Padmaasana
Ya BRahma Achyutaha Shankara Prabrithibhih
Devai Sadaa Vandita
Saa Maam Paatu Sarasvathi Bhagavati
Nishyesha Jyaadyaapaha
Oh Goddess Sarasvathi, who is fair as a jasmine flower, the moon or a
snow flake, who is dressed in white and whose hands are adorned by
veena and japmala, who is seated on a white lotus, to whom Brahma,
Vishnu and Maheshwara pay their respects, please protect us and drive
away all my ignorance.

19. Kayena vacha manasendriyairva


Buddhyatmana va prakrite swabhavath
Karoomi yadyad sakalam parasmai
Narayanayeti samarpayami
Whatever I do with my mind, body, speech or with other senses of my
body,Or with my intellect or with my innate natural tendenciesI offer (dedicate)everything to
Narayana

20. Mangalam Bhagavan Vishnum


Mangalam Garudadhwajah
Mangalam Pundareekaksham
Mangalayatano Harih

All auspiciousness to God Vishnu


All auspiciousness to One who has Garuda as His flag
All auspiciousness to One who has eyes like the lotus flowers
And auspiciousness to Hari

21. Sarva Maangala Maangalye Shive Sarvaartha Saadhike .


SharaNye Trayambake Gauri NaaraayaNi Namostute .
Salutations to the Goddess who is the auspiciousness of all that is auspicious, who is the consort
of Lord Shiva, who is the bestower of all that one desires. I take reufuge in you and I bow to you,
who is Gauri and Narayani.
While taking a bath
22. Gange cha Yamune chaiva Godavari Saraswati,
Narmade Sindhu Kaveri jalesmin sannidhim kuru
In this water with which I bathe, I invoke the presence of holy waters from the rivers Ganga,
Yamuna, Godavari, Saraswati, Narmada, Sindhu and Kaveri.
While lighting a lamp
23. Shubham Karoti KalyaaNam Aarogyam Dhanasampadaa
Shatrubudhdi Vinaashaaya Deepa-jyoti Namostute.
I salute the One who is the lamplight, that brings auspiciousness, prosperity, good health,
abundance of wealth, and the destruction of the enemies of the intellect.
Bedtime prayer
24. KaracharaNa Kritam Vaak-kaayajam Karmajam Vaa .
ShravaNa Nayanajam Vaa Maanasam Vaa Aparaadha .
Vihitam Avihitam Vaa Sarvam Etat Kshamasva .
Jaya Jaya KaruNaabdhe Shri Mahaadeva Shambho

Oh Lord kindly forgive my wrong actions done knowingly or unknowingly, either through my
organs of action (hand, feet, speech) or through my organs of perception (eyes, ears) or by my
mind.Glory to the Lord, who is the ocean of kindness.

25. Mookam Karoti Vaachalam


Panghoom LanGhay Tegireem
YatKrupa Tam Hum Vande

ParmaaNanda Maadhavam.
I pray to the Almighty Lord, Madhava,
One who can make the dumb speak
The Lame climb mountains,
I pray to him to bestow His Blessings (kripa) upon us.
26. Karmanye Vaadhika-raste,
Maa Phaleshu Kadaachana;
Maa Karma-Phala-hetur-bhur,
MaTe Sangostva Karmani.
Your right is only to work and to perform your duty in the world;
but never to the fruits of that action .Work hard but for work's sake only.
By keeping strong determination, you can refuse to be attached to or affected,
by the results, whether favorable or unfavorable.
27. YogaSthaha Kuru Karmaani
Sangam Tyaktvaa Dhananjaya
Siddhya Asiddhyoh Samo Bhutvaa
Samatvam Yoga Uchyate
Do your duty by being steadfast in Yoga, Oh Arjuna.
Perform your duty and do not worry about the results.
The even-ness of mind, when you work with non-attachment to success or failure is
called yoga.
28. Nainam Chinndanti Shastraani
Nainam Dahati Paavakaha
Na Chainam Kledayanta-yaapo
Na Soshayati Marutaaha
The soul can never be cut into pieces by any weapon,
Nor can it be burned by fire..
It cannot be moistened by water,
Nor dried by the wind.
29. Shantaa-Kaaram Bhujaga Shayanam
Padmanabham Suresham
Vishwa-Dharam Gagana Sadrusham
Megha Varnam Shubhaangam
Laksmi Kaantam Kamala Nayanam
Yogi Bhirdhyana Nigamyam
Vande Vishnum Bhava Bhaya Haram
Sarva Lokaika Naatham

I bow to Lord Vishnu , the Master of the Universe, who is the embodiment of peace,
who reclines on the serpent bed, from whose navel springs the Lotus ,
Who is the Lord of all Devas, who supports the entire universe, who is all-pervading as
the sky, who has the complexion of clouds and has a beautiful form;
the beloved Lord of Lakshmi, who has lotus-like eyes,
whom the yogis are able to perceive through meditation ;
He, who is the destroyer of the fear of the cyles of birth and death and who is the lord of all worlds.
30: VakraTunda MahaaKaaya, SuryaKoti SamaPrabha.
NirVighnam Kuru Me Deva, Sarva Karyeshu Sarvadaa.
I ask for the grace of the One , who has a curved trunk and a large body, whose face
is radiates like a thousand suns, to removes all obstacles so all my tasks are completed
without obstacles.
For the fulfillment of desires and release from bondage:
31. Om Kaaram Bindu Samyuktam
Nityam Dhyaayanti Yoginah
Kaamadam Mokshadam Chaiva
Omkaaraaya Namo Namaha
The Yogis constantly meditate upon the sound of Aum and its 'Bindu (dot) .
Salutations again and again to the Divine sound of Aum ,
which has the power to fulfill our desires and release us from bondage.
For destruction of evil and removal of miseries

32. Krishnaaya Vaasudevaaya Haraye Paramaatmane


Pranatah Klesha naashaaya Govindaaya namo namaha
O Krishna! Son of Vaasudeva, You are the Supreme Lord, remover of miseries.
You destroy all evil, O Govinda! I repeatedly bow to You!
33. Achutham Keshavam Rama Naaraayanam
Krishna Daamodaram Vaasudevam Harim
Shridharam Maadhavam, Gopika Vallabham
Janaki Naayakam, Raamchandram Bhajey.
O Eternal One! I pray to you who is called by different names such as KESHAVA, RAAMA,
DAAMODARA, NAARAYANA, SRIDHARA, MAADHAVA, KRISHNA and
RAAMACHANDRA, the beloved of Janaki

34. KaraarVindena PadaarVindam, MukaarVinde ViniveShayantam


VaTasya Patrasya Pute Shayaanam, Baalam Mukundam Manasaasmaraami.
I meditate on that infant Mukunda (Krishna) who is sleeping on the leaf of a banyan tree with
his the lotus like foot, placed in his lotus like mouth, with his lotus like hand.

35. NamastesTu Mahaamaye ShreePeeThe Surapoojite


Shankha Chakra Gadaahaste Mahalakshmi NamostuTe.
I bow down at your Lotus Feet, O MahaaLakshmi ; you , who are the destroyer of delusion and
the source of all prosperity; who is worshipped by all the Gods; who is holding in her hands the
conch, the discus and the mace.
During Kalash Puja
36. Kalashasya mukhe Vishnu Kanthe Rudra samaashritah
Mule tatra sthitho brahma madhye matraganaha smrutah.
At the mouth of the Kalash resides Vishnu, at the throat- Shiva (Rudra) , at the base Brahma
and in the middle (belly) reside all the goddesses and Shaktis.(divine female manifestations). .
