Camp Mechanics and Regulations
General Mechanics:
1. All participants shall be bona fide Civil Engineering students of Batangas
State University.
2. ACES Flair Camp is generally a competition of guts, teamwork, and talent of
the students outside the four corners of the classroom. The activity aims to
build confidence, unity, and camaraderie between students beyond academic
learning.
3. All students in all sections from Third Year to Fifth Year shall join the camp.
Exemption to this rule shall vary as according to the event and weight of
reason for exemption.
4. The camp shall be based on pointing system in which all events will be given
certain points/ scores that they have to compete to.

5. Order of performance in all events is based on the drawing of lots conducted


last December 3, 2015 (Thursday).

6. Decision of the Board of Judges and organizing team is final and irrevocable.
I. Cultural Festival, the CE way!

A. The Sing-Off
1. All sections shall have a competing group for this event.
2. Participating groups must have three (3) to five (5) members that will represent
their class.
3. Participants may choose any song genre that they are comfortable with.
4. All songs must be performed in a cappella. No musical instruments or tuned
percussion of any kind are permitted, with the exception of pitch pipes or similar
devices used solely to generate a starting pitch. Vocal percussion, beat box, etc.,
are permitted.
5. All songs must be sung from memory throughout the performance.
6. No props are allowed during a contestants performance.
7. Each participant is given a maximum of four (4) minutes to showcase their talent.
Exceeding to this given limit shall mean 10% deduction to their scores.

B. Modern DanCE Contest
1. All sections shall have a competing group for this event.
2. Participating groups must have seven (7) to fifteen (15) members that will
represent their class. Lesser or more than that will be disqualified.
3. This is a modern dance competition thus the musicality has to suit the genre of
songs.
4. Each participating group is given maximum five (5) to seven (7) minutes to
showcase their talent.
Exceeding to this given limit shall mean 10% deduction to their scores.

C. viCE-versa 2015 (Cross-Dress Competition)

1. Mechanics will be given on-the-spot of the contest.


D. Tatak Inhinyero Sibil Exhibit
1. Exhibits are created by each section. Field in civil engineering drawn last
December 3, 2015 will serve as their subject matter.
2. Size limitations: for the base, 1 meter by 1 meter. (Measurement of the exhibit
includes any materials students provide. It may be constructed in any shape as
long as the exhibit fits within the required dimensions,
3. Exhibits must be free standing.
4. Media devices (e.g. DVD players, laptops, tablets, mp3 players, etc.) used in an
exhibit must be known by the committee.
5. There should be one or two presenters in each section that will provide the
necessary information about the exhibit.(presenters should be in smart-casual
attire)
6. Judging will be based on the average rating given by the invited guest.
