Option 1:
Group should select ONE (1) movie/film/drama series or book and discuss on the elements or
functions of management thoroughly. This is depends entirely on the creativity of the group
on how to relate characters that exists in the story and relate it to the element of management
learnt in the class and within the course syllabus.
Option 2:
Group have to select ONE (1) known person as Leader (either for a country, organization
etcetera). Group need to study the chosen leader and related him/her to the functions of
management from the reviews conducted on him/her from various sources available (e.g.
book, magazine, video etc.)
Instructions:
1. Each group should choose ONE option only.
2. Group report should be computer typed in English using 12 point Times New Roman font
and 1.5 line spacing and justified.
3. The report must contain at least the following sections;
(i) Introduction of the company/film/movie/drama series/book which includes
relevant information.
(ii) Discussion on the four management functions; Planning and Decision-making,
Organizing, Leading and Controlling that being implemented/included in the
company/storyline by highlighting real examples from the company/ storyline.
(iii) Conclusion and Recommendations should include the essence of what being
learned from the company/storyline. All opinions need to be justified or supported by
evidence from relevant textbook or other scholarly articles/ journals
Grading of Report:
The report will be graded in terms of the quality of the report, and the flow and direction of
ideas. Please, no cut-n-paste papers. The report accounted for 20% of your grade. Kindly
submit your report before proceed for your presentation. Grading shall be awarded as
follows;
