Held Managerial position at restaurant Buffalo Jos Wings were responsibilities included receiving take-out and delivery orders over
the phone and via GrubHub, preparing orders, maintaining a clean work and dinning area, opening and closing the store, handling
inventory, as well as assisting with weekly schedules for all the delivery drivers.
Wrote in a public blog (http://soundmap.dewlines.org/author/13garcjo) as a part of a multimedia sound production course. Blogs
included sound editing projects, peer reviews, and instruction guides for sound editing equipment; among other things. Eventually
leading to a final class group project in which the students hosted a live online podcast.
Was divided into separate art groups as a part of a five week summer internship at social justice organization Project Reach; was given
specific objectives in a team and had to cooperate and compromise to meet a deadline for a set piece in a public showcase. Also
partook in numerous workshops regarding social issues in modern society with a diverse group of young people from various
backgrounds.
Assigned and met sales goals for each work day while working at retail giant Macys; provided customer service in a wide array of
departments such as mens, womens, and childrens clothing; bedding, Kitchen appliances, and holiday decorations. While also
maintaining a presentable floor and setting up merchandise for display during seasonal positions for 2013 and 2014.
Self published independent comic book series, searched and found printing houses and compared prices to find the most cost effective
way to publish work, and sold comics on 14th street as a sidewalk vendor.
Maintained website (www.comedyteamshop.weebly.com) for said series and handled all responsibilities including simple design and
organization, PayPal account management, and shipment of products.
Held position of team captain for high school congressional debate team, organized after school practices, weekend study sessions,
and guided a team to each and every debate tournament destination that the school participated in; as well as other team leader
responsibilities.
