Depth interviews:

Is similar to a personal interview, where a consumer is interviewed about the


product/service offering & the brand.
We asked questions as an interviewer and we encouraged interviewee to talk in length
about her reactions and feelings about the product of Garnier face wash and their
offerings.
We asked questions like:
Sense of luxury value,
Brand popularity,
Should improve its quality,
Solving skin problems,
Product should be organic,
Buying the product in future,
Recommend to friends and family,
Is it reliable for skin, ingredient is important or not and
Ranking order.
The questions were non- structured and open ended.

Depth interview Findings:
Ten people individually and found out different opinions.
Question (1-5) more than average people were satisfied with band, quality and
ingredients. Three people were not satisfied and rest are not user of Garnier
Question (6&7) Average interviewee says they will use and buy Garnier face wash in

future, few interviewees were denied to use and buy


Question (8&9) reliability about Garnier face wash. More than average interviewee said

they are reliable and have trust.


Question 10 which was ranking order: Garnier is in rank 1, Himalaya is in Rank 2, ponds

white beauty is in rank 3, Dove and Clean and Clear is in rank 4 and 5.

Focus groups:

We have interviewed to two groups (A&B) consist of 5 consumers in a group, they are
called together, and discussed about Garnier face wash.
The questions were non- structured and open ended.
The positive Opinions:
Natural active ingredients present in their purest form.
The fairness face wash gives then instant glow.
It reduces their pimple problems.
Does not irritate their eyes at all.
They believe Garnier brand is trust worthy.
Average people said Garnier face wash is not much expansive and they will continue
using it.

The Negative opinion:
Few people said Garnier face wash did lighten their skin little bit.
It does not reduces their pimple
Its not reliable to them
Sometimes it does not suit them
They do not think that its a strong brand
They will not buy and use in future

Arguments between group A &B:
To find true information about Garnier face wash the argument between two
groups were affective. The two groups were argued about Garnier face wash
brand, quality, safety and so on.
In their argument we found much positive and negative opinion about the product.
Many people recommend Garnier face wash is good and others recommend
Himalaya, Ponds, Clean & clear, Dove and other suggests Fair &lovely face wash
and they gives explanation why these face wash are good or bad for skin.

The arguments session was informative to evaluate the brand.
