The Fool

Key Words

Numerological associations:
associations Zero,
the number of the Fool is said to bring
profound transformational
change. The empty circle symbolizes
the nothingness of death and the
totality of life. It is unmanifest,
unlimited, eternal.

Astrological associations:
associations The Fool is
associated with Uranus, symbolizing
innovation and revolution,
delighting in surprise and provoking
change.

New beginnings:
beginnings The Fool card indicates a new
phase, a period when life can take a different
path and expand our horizons. It can indicate a
journey - physical or emotional, a time to strike
out and start something new - time to take a
crazy chance in life.
Faith:
Faith The Fool tells us to let go of the worry
and fear of what life may hold and have faith
in fate and our own instincts. Trust that your
'pipe dreams' will come to fruition. Trust in
your choice and be true to yourself.
Fearlessness : One needs to be fearless to have
faith, and with faith one is fearless. The Fool is
fearless as he steps toward the cliff's edge.
Joy: Another byproduct of faith, the Fool with
his sunny demeanor experiences joy as he lives
in the moment.

The Hanged Man

Astrological associations:The
planet
associations
Neptune is linked to the Hanged
Man. Neptune is the modern ruler
of the sign Pisces. Neptune (or
Poseidon) is the god of the Seas from
Greco/Roman myth. Neptune is the
planet of dreams, artistic vision,
illusion, delusion, and spirituality. It
is said to dissolve boundaries and
barriers, leading to higher awareness,
compassion or confusion.

Notes:

May reflect the legend of the Norse god Odin,

who voluntarily hung upside down from the
world tree, Yggdrasil, for nine days to gain
enlightenment specifically the knowledge of
the runes, considered in Norse mythology to be
a sort of alpha and omega of all mysteries.
Odin died the moment he glimpsed the runes,
but his understanding of the runes
immediately resurrected him. Saint Peter was
also crucified upside down because he felt he
was not worthy of being crucified in the same
manner as Jesus aside from the mutual idea
of sacrifice, I dont think theres a connection to
the Hanged Man card, and much prefer the
Norse interpretation.
