King Charles takes the throne following his fathers death in 1625

King Charles (monarch) and members Parliament (elected officials) dont see eye to
eye on many things

King Charles tries to run England by himself and disregards members of Parliament

King Charles desperately needs money because he is constantly at war with Spain
and France. He calls on Parliament for help and they tell him only if you sign the
Petition of Right

The document stated that King Charles could not do the following:

King Charles signs and ignores the document!

He later has a rebellion on his hands and has to go back to Parliament but they
refuse to help him unless he gives up control of the military.

He again refuses and attempts to throw members of Parliament in prison.

They escape and later declare war against the King.

The King loses the war, is brought to trial, and is later beheaded in front of a
crowd of his countrymen.

In your own WORDS, write a two to three sentence description of why the king
lost control of the control and ultimately his head.
