Motivation is the process that account for and individuals intensity, direct and persistence effort
toward attaining a goal. The key elements of motivation are intensity, direction and persistence.

Job satisfaction shows hoe people feel about their jobs and different aspects of their jobs. It is the
extent to which people like (satisfaction) or dislike (dissatisfaction) their jobs. Factors
influencing job satisfaction is supervision, co-workers, pay, age, marital status, education and
working standard.

This topic was chosen since we know that Nipa fashion wear in one of the reputed firms in the
ready made garments industry as well as to our economy. As they export their good worldwide, it
has generated a lot of foreign currency for our country. As a firm so well repudiated and
established, Nipa fashion wear has a huge amount old people working for them who are well
motivated and have a very good level of job satisfaction otherwise this firm would not have
reached its goal.

The organizational values of the firm as we have discussed earlier as well as the organization
goal are strongly maintained due to the motivational factors and job satisfaction that the
organization has a provided to its workers. Therefore, the motivation and Job satisfaction were
chosen since it has played an integral point in the organizations success.

Since our study is based on both primary and secondary data, there is a possibility of getting fake
information. If the surveyed personnel provide us with any fabricated information about their
opinion of their organization, then the report findings may be erroneous. Above all, this study is
weak in some points. The notable ones are as under:
The survey was conducted in a very short time so we were not able to collect more information.
This survey made on crisis situation of Bangladesh, so it was difficult to collect more samples.
Only the big and the reputed Garments Company consider here as sample.
The questionnaire contains some questions that, if answered properly, might damage the
companys image. In this type of questions, the respondents might provide socially acceptable
answers. This risk was unavoidable.
Another limitation of this study is the persons private information were not disclosing some,
data and information for obvious reasons, which could be very much useful.

Lack of experience on this field.

Lack of proper authority to conduct the interview program.

8. Analysis and Discussion:

Theory related to the topic:

motivation:

Motivation is the activation or foundation of goal-oriented behavior. Motivation may be intrinsic

or extrinsic. The term is generally used for humans but, theoretically, it can also be used to
describe the causes for animal behavior as well. This article refers to human motivation.
According to various theories, motivation may be rooted in the basic need to minimize physical
pain and maximize pleasure, or it may include specific needs such as eating and resting, or a
desired object, hobby, goal, state of being, ideal, or it may be attributed to less-apparent reasons
such as altruism, morality, or avoiding mortality.

Abraham Maslow's theory is one of the most widely discussed theories of motivation.
The theory can be summarized as follows:

Human beings have wants and desires which influence their behavior. Only unsatisfied needs
influence behavior, satisfied needs do not.

Since needs are many, they are arranged in order of importance, from the basic to the complex.

The person advances to the next level of needs only after the lower level need is at least
minimally satisfied.

The further the progress up the hierarchy, the more individuality, humanness and psychological
health a person will show.

The needs, listed from basic (lowest-earliest) to most complexes (highest-latest) are as follows:

Physiology

Safety

Belongingness

Self-esteem

Self actualization

Job satisfaction shows how people feel about their jobs and different characteristic of their
jobs.job satisfaction effects companys performace like absentism, productivity, and turnover.
Employee express dissatisfaction by exit, voice, neglect can loyality, organizational citizenship
behaviour.

Factors influencing Job Satisfaction:

Supervision
Co-workers
Pay
Age
Marital Status
Education
Working Standard

compare theory with organizational practice:

Nipa fashion wear has 1500 thousand people working for them and it is a very difficult job to
supervise such a huge number of workers and guide them properly. Therefore it needs to
carefully choose its motivational structure that can reach all its employees effectively and help
them achieve the companys goals. Two such motivational theories are expectancy theory and
goal setting theory

Nipa do not increases the number and job diversity in there

organization. For this reason workers were boring. They did not
pay worker in due time. Managers or supervisor thinks negative
reinforcement helps them to archive their goal or objective.
Whatever by negative reinforcement worker lost their inspiration
and they dont show their performance properly.
Nipa garments (Pvt.) Ltd. also motivate their workers by fulfilled their financial and non-financial
activities. They motivate them to get highest return from them. Thats why they try to motivate following
steps which is given below--

1. Salary:
nipa Garments Company has more than 1500 workers in their office and factory. They give
standards salary to every worker. Thus this company motivates workers and satisfies to get return
better work from them.

2. Bonus:
nipa garments give bonus money every year two Eid Festival times so that they can do their Eid
Festival very well. By giving their bonus money they motivate workers to do job well and get better
benefit from them.

3. Overtime:
There is a right for workers to work eight hours a day. But sometime it cant be possible to the
company because of shortage production or quick production or some other cases. Thats why
sometime they do their own job more than 8 hours. In that case the company gives them extra money
for doing more work which is known by overtime.

4. Transport facilities:
nipa garments company are motivating their workers by giving transport facilities for the official
members, so now they can move from their home to office very easily.

5. Canteen:
In work time, all workers get lunch break in the middle when they are working. Then they go for
lunch. But it is not easy to finish lunch where canteen is not available. Thats why they build up a
canteen for them in the factory and office. Thus they motivate their workers.

6. Funds:
Nipa garments prepared funds for the workers. So, if they need money in any emergency they
withdraw some money.

7. Work Environment:
This is very important for the workers in their work place. If the work place is suitable for the worker
they feel comfortable to do work.

Nipa garments workers job satisfaction decline for pressure to increase productivity. For this
reason worker do additional work but they do not get any extra payment timely. Organization
doesnt provide any training. So fresh workers make many mistake in their job. As a result
productivity decline. Workers get poor wages. Garments workers it is much difficult to drive
their life with poor wages. Companys supervision is not good so workers are dissatisfied. For
this reason Turnover is going up for bad supervision. There is other some problems, such as
there are no different washroom for women .For this reason women workers are dissatisfied.

Job satisfaction would also influence workers to achieve the organizations goal effectively and
efficiently. Job satisfaction would lead to all 1500 workers of Nipa fashion wear to take the
organization to new heights of success. The organization would be able to achieve job
satisfaction through positive behavior towards their job, the job itself, pay, promotion, proper
supervision, good relationship with her co-workers and overall environment of the organization.

high prices. Therefore, it should try to increase their minimum wage and impose strict laws so
that factory owners like Nipa fashion wear pay their workers on time.

means of transportation for them for the sake of their safety & security, and this would decrease
the level of absenteeism and turnover

with ease. Therefore, a more spacious environment would help their workers to work

occur.Ensuring proper safety measures for their workers would give workers a sense of security
that would increase their productivity and job satisfaction

their. It should increase it's exit ways in terms of the number of the people working there to
ensure their safety.

8) The Stairs of Nipa fashion wear are quite narrow,it should expand the size of their stairs to
tackle a fire emergency effectively and effeciently.

9) The ventilation system inside Nipa fashion wear is very weak,it should provide more windows
so that workers can have a spacious environment to work in,this would motivate them to work
efficiently and increase their productivity as well as job satisfaction.

10) Like many other garments firm,Nipa fashion wear also has a reputation of gender
discrimination. It should be alert and cautious about its female workers in terms of sexual
harassment and equally reward them for their work. In this way they will be able to motivate
their workers and increase job satisfaction.

If Nipa fashion wear can overcome it's current problems by taking our solutions into account
which we have discussed earlier then their motivation process will flourish as well as increasing
the job satisfaction of their workers which will therefore increase the productivity of their
workers and take the organization to new heights of success and achievement.
