Civil Aviation Act is a legal document passed by the lawmaker of Fiji to exercise order and regulation in
the civil aviation industry. It is the law of the land for aviation.
The Fiji Civil aviation Act has 27 sections
2. What is ANR?
Air Navigation Regulation 1981 is the law and order of the country of Fiji governing and regulates the
civil aviation industry of Fiji. It is in accordance with the Civil Aviation Act 1976 and explains the Civil
Aviation Act 1976 in much broader detail.
The Fiji ANR 1981 is divided into 9 parts and contains 158 regulations

7. What is C of A? regulation 12 of ANR
It is a certificate issued by CAAF indicating that an aircraft meets the Authority's airworthiness
standards. Cs of A are issued to individual aircraft, and also to generic aircraft types (Type Certification
in the USA) when the first example of a type is registered. Cs of A on individual aircraft are granted in
several categories, e.g. Private, Public Transport, Aerial Work etc. and much be renewed at intervals.
8. Registration of aircraft C of R? regulation 4 of the ANR
It is a certificate issued by CAAF to the aircraft owner detailing that the aircraft has been registered in
the Fiji Registry and is legal to operate.
9. CRS? Regulation 16 of the ANR
A statement signed by an LAE (Licensed Aircraft Engineer), with the appropriate certifying approvals,
which asserts that the aircraft is airworthy to the degree appropriate for safe flight.
10. C of M? Regulation 15 of the ANR
This certificate is issued at the intervals specified in the approved Maintenance Programme for an aircraft to indicate that the LAE who has
signed it has examined the Aircraft Technical Log and associated documentation and satisfied themselves that in the period since the previous
CMR:
All maintenance specified in the approved Maintenance Programme has been carried out
All mandatory modifications and inspections have been complied with within the prescribed time periods.
All Defects recorded in the Aircraft Technical Log have been rectified or deferred in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
Issue of each required Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) has been correct
