Indiana Statewide survey results

Bellwether Research surveyed 1,295 registered voters in Indiana between December 2nd and
December 9th, 2015. The interviews were conducted online and were weighted by age, sex,
race, education, and region to reflect registered voters in the state. The Republican
presidential primary ballot was asked of 670 Republicans and Republican leaning
independents. Bellwether Research has conducted hundreds of telephone surveys in Indiana
and brings the same careful methodological approach to online research.

Trump leads among both GOP men (26%) and GOP women (25%).

As we have seen nationally, Trump fares better with non-college educated

Republicans (30%) than with those who have at least a college degree (20%).

Among the roughly one in five who call themselves very conservative, Ted Cruz has
a substantial lead at 37%, followed by Trump at 27%. Trump leads among less
intensely conservative and moderate Republicans.

President Obama job approval among all voters

Just over six in ten voters (61%) in Indiana disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing, while 38%
approve. This is ten points higher than a recently released national Gallup poll which found 50%
disapproved of the job President Obama is doing and 45% approved. The Huffington Post Pollster
average for President Obama is 51.6% disapproval.
