Two Important People
The picture underneath the paper is of two important people. Try to Family Home Evening Activity
guess who the people are. Then invite family members to remove the
puzzle pieces one at a time. When all the pieces have been removed,
ask:

1. Who are the people in the picture?

2. What are they doing?

For family home evening, you can tell about preparing for baptism by describing
each of the following steps represented by a picture. After you discuss each step,
have a family member place a footprint on the floor, forming a path to a baptism
picture (such as the one below).

1. Believe in and learn about Jesus Christ and Heavenly

2. Pray to Heavenly Father.

3. Be forgiving and love others.

4. Choose the right every day.

5. Read the scriptures.

What happens when I am Baptized? John baptized Jesus in the Jordan River. John baptized
1. The bishop will meet with you to talk about your baptism. Jesus by immersion.
2. A member of the Primary presidency will bring you white
clothing to wear when you are baptized. Immersion means being completely covered by water.
3. You are usually baptized on a Saturday morning at the Stake
center. You will probably also be confirmed that same day.

water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the
Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in
whom I am well pleased.

Last Words Game If we are not already baptized, we should be getting ready for that
special day by learning about the covenants we will make.

Read the statements below, leaving out the underlined words. Ask Baptismal Covenants
family members to fill in the appropriate words.
