REV. FR. NATHANIELE A. DENLAOSO
Executive Vice President
Saint Estanislao Kostka College
Manukan, Zamboanga City
Dear FR. DENLAOSO:
Greetings!
The Zamboanga Peninsula Occupational Safety and Health Network, Inc. (ZAMPEN
OSHNET, Inc.), & the Department of Labor and Employment, Region 9, in cooperation
with the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), will conduct a region-wide 40Hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training to be held on October 1923, 2015 at Ariana Hotel, Inc., Airport Road, Minaog, Dipolog City. This activity is
in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) under Articles
162 to 165 of the Labor Code of the Philippines as amended and D.O. 16, series of 2001,
that states, All Safety Officers must complete the Bureau prescribed training course prior
to their appointment as Safety Officer in their respective place of employment, and
under the same, all establishments must have a Safety Officer. This is also in
consonance with the D.O. No. 131-13, series 2013, otherwise known as the RULES ON
LABOR LAWS COMPLIANCE SYSTEM (LLCS). In addition, such training is one of the basic
requirements before anyone can be accredited as a Safety Practitioner.
Moreover, this course contains topics that enhance the knowledge and skills of the
participants on the basic concepts and principles of OSH and intensifies awareness
among the different institutions that promote and regulate OSH particularly on the
different controls and preventions of injuries/diseases in the workplaces. It will also
enable them to plan and develop a Safety and Health Program tailored to your needs to
enhance and sustain productivity and competitiveness.
In view hereof, we are inviting your safety and health officers, HR managers and any
individuals with relevant field of undertakings from all private and government
institutions, the academe, and health care service facilities to the aforementioned
training.
This is a 5-day live-out activity and a registration fee of Php 6,000.00 per participant
shall be charged payable to ZAMPEN OSHNET, Inc. to defray meals, snacks, training
kits/materials,
T-shirt and professional fee for the external resource persons.
