LOGO
Description:

An adventurous type of logo with a fun, unique mountain to

showcase the awesomeness of drone piloting.

Date:
10/31/15

Course/Instructor:
Ben Pingel

Programs/Tools:
Adobe Illustrator

Objective:

To create a logo using only Adobe Illustrator. Using the pen tool
to create shapes and other objects.

Process:

I first started this logo by using the pen tool to create the
mountains in the background, and then the ones in the front.
I then created the drone by combining an oval and a pen swish,
to give it the sense of flight.

BUSINESS CARD
Description:

A unique and simple business card that is a piece of

minimalist art on its own.

Date:
11/8/15

Course/Instructor:
Ben Pingel

Programs/Tools:
Adobe Illustrator, InDesign

Objective:

Create a functional business card.

Process:

I created this bike on illustrator. My favorite part of this

whole project was applying the texture to give the bike
tires and background a realistic look and feel.

STATIONERY
Description:

A stationery that matches the same type of design

from the business card.

Date:
11/8/15

Course/Instructor:
Ben Pingel

Programs/Tools:
Adobe Illustrator, InDesign

Objective:

Create a professional stationery that can be

used for a business.

Process:

This stationery was tied together on InDesign.

I used all of the designs from my business card
to tie this together.

EVENT

AD

Description:

An eerie ad for a haunted house with fun shapes and

word placement.

Date:
10/10/15

Course/Instructor:
Ben Pingel

Programs/Tools:
Microsoft Word

Objective:

Create a flier only using Microsoft Word.

Process:

I used this image from Unsplash.com for starters and knew

I wanted to make something creepy. I was able to copy and
paste the lines to give it a neat art look. Having the lines
angled gave me the freedom to place the header text above.
The slant of the Haunted Asylum was to give it an extra
feeling of almost discomfort.

FLIER
Description:

A fast paced flier for the capoeira group on

BYU-Idaho Campus.

Date:
10/3/15

Course/Instructor:
Ben Pingel

Programs/Tools:
InDesign

Objective:

To use InDesign to create a flier.

Process:

With the images given I was able to create

this flier all on InDesign. My favorite part
is the touch of gestalt, by using the arm as
the letter I.

PHOTO DESIGN
Description:

An inspirational message about going and doing

what needs to be done.

Date:
10/17/15

Course/Instructor:
Ben Pingel

Programs/Tools:
Photoshop and Illustrator

Objective:
Create a photo design while incorporating a color scheme.

Process:

I used colors from the background and the forefront to

get a split complementary color scheme of gold, blue,
and brick. The design element were the rectangle lines
along the outside.

M O N T A G E
Description:

A fun montage filled with shapes and a sense of hope.

Date:
10/24/15

Course/Instructor:
Ben Pingel

Programs/Tools:
Photoshop and Illustrator

Objective:

Create a photo design combining images to make a new one.

Process:

I was able to combine these two photos of a statue that stands

on top of LDS Temples, Angel Moroni, and one of marble.
I was able to take the photo with my Phantom 3 Pro drone.
The lines were created to give it a different kind of art.

WEB

PAGE

Description:

A simple website to show off a logo that I had created.

Also giving a description of what I want to do professionally.

Date:
11/22/15

Course/Instructor:
Ben Pingel

Programs/Tools:

Illustrator, Photoshop, Text Wrangler

Objective:

Create a simple and functional website from scratch.

Process:

I first used Illustrator to get all of the design elements.

Photoshop was then used to edit the photo in the background.
Everything was then placed in a folder to keep track of what
was going on. Coding was then done on Text Wrangler to
build up the website.

BROCHURE
Description:

A unique and simple business card that is a piece of

minimalist art on its own.

Date:
12/6/15

Course/Instructor:
Ben Pingel

Programs/Tools:

Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop

Objective:

Create a functional business card.

Process:

I made the logo in Illustrator, and used

some good clean fonts for this brochure.
I then used photoshop to take out the
unneccessary parts of the snowboarders
so that while using InDesign I was able to
create a text wrap that had good spacing.
