apart, a flywheel weighing 400 kg is attached to the shaft midway between the
bearings. The shaft transmits 3000 W at 360 rpm.
Determine:

(ii) The maximum bending moment on the shaft.

A horizontal beam of uniform section and 6 m long is simply supported at its ends.
Two vertical concentrated loads of 48 kN and 40 kN act 1 m and 3 m respectively
from the left hand support.
