This advertisement is being published with cancellation of advertisement no 2/2014 published in
Employment news paper ( Hindi & English) issue dt 6-12 sept, 2014 for the post of Technician ( T-1) for
IIPR, Kanpur
Applications are invited from interested eligible candidates for filling up the below mentioned
posts at IIPR, Kanpur(U.P.) and its Regional Research Centres( Bhopal, M.P. & Dharwad, Karnataka),
under the administrative control of ICAR. These posts are purely temporary, but likely to be continued.
The eligibility details of the posts, reservation position, qualification, age etc. required for the post are as

Essential Qualifications

Workshop
The selected candidate for the post of Technician will have to undergo one year on-the-job training,
which will be provided by the Institute. The selected candidate will be called as Technical Trainee
during the training period. After successful completion of one year on-the-job training, the regular
appointment will be done.

General instructions for the candidates:

1. The Proforma for application form may be downloaded from the Institutes website
www.iipr.res.in
2. Seperate applications must be submitted for posts of Technician(T-1) and Technical
Assistant (T-3) in respective proforma.
3. advertisement no 2/2014 published in Employment news paper ( hindi & english) issue dt 612 Sept, 2014 for the post of Technician ( T-1) for IIPR, Kanpur is hereby cancelled as per
ICAR guidelines.
4. Duly completed application forms should be submitted in the prescribed Proforma, accompanied
by a latest passport size photograph, attested copies of certificates and mark sheets in proof of
age, educational qualifications, experience, caste (for SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by the
Competent Authority in the prescribed formats). OBC certificates should be issued in the
enclosed Central Govt. format only.
5. Age as on date of publishing of this advertisement in Employment News must be 18-30 years for
UR candidates (the upper age is relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST , 3 yeard for OBC and 10 years
for PH(OH) candidates as per the Government of India/ICAR rules in force for the unreserved
posts)
6. Age relaxation for Research Associate/ Senior Research Fellows who have been engaged on
contractual basis under ICAR Institutes. All the Research Associates/ Senior Research Fellows
who have been engaged on contractual basis in different Institutes as on date (cutoff date for
receipt of duly filled application) are eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit to the extent of
their spell, during which they were actually engaged as RAs/SRFs in different projects (maximum
of 16 years 3 months or actually engaged whichever is least). They should have been engaged
continuously in different projects without inordinate spell of breaks (a break of more than 6
months shall be treated as an inordinate spell of break). An employment certificate indicating the
names of the projects and the exact period the incumbent worked in each project, should be
obtained from the Competent Authority and enclosed along with the application. The applications
without Employment Certificate shall be summarily rejected. Age relaxation is applicable for the
posts of T-3 under Direct Recruitment for RAs/ SRFs only. This dispensation is only for relaxing
the maximum age limit and does not imply any other relaxation whatsoever regarding essential
qualification, experience, etc.
7. Only short listed and screened candidates will be called for written test.
8. The post is covered under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research which will be governed by
the New Pension Scheme introduced by Govt. of India w.e.f. 1.1.2004 mutatis mutandis
applicable to ICAR employees and as amended and modified from time to time.
9. Candidates fulfilling the essential qualification should send their applications duly filled in all
respects (in the given format) to the Director, Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kalyanpur,
Kanpur-24 along with an application fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred only; nonrefundable) by means of Demand Draft obtained from any nationalized bank (preferably from
State Bank of India) in favour of ICAR UNIT, IIPR payable at Kanpur. SC/ST candidates,
Women candidates and Persons with Disabilities (subject to submission of prescribed medical
certificate) are exempted from the payment of application fee.
10. For applying for the posts of both cadre Technician and Technical Assistant, separate applications
may be sent with enclosing separate Demand Drafts of Rs 200/- each obtained from any
nationalized bank (preferably from State Bank of India) in favour of ICAR UNIT, IIPR
payable at Kanpur with each application.

11. Candidates should attach self-attested copies of certificates & mark sheets along with the
application(s).
12. A Self addressed envelope (11 X 5) bearing postal stamps worth Rs. 25/- only must also be
enclosed.
13. Incomplete applications and applications received after the closing date due to any reason
including postal delay shall be summarily rejected and not considered under any circumstances.
14. Candidates serving in Govt./ Autonomous Bodies/ ICAR Institutes should submit the application
through proper channel only.
15. Closing date for receipt of applications is 30 days from the date of publishing of this
advertisement in the Employment News. (For applications posted from the Andaman and
Nicobar Islands, Lakshdweep, Minicoy and Amindivi Islands, States/ Union Territories in the
North Eastern Region, Ladakh Division of J & K state, Sikkim, Pangi, Sub-division of Chamba,
Lahul and Spiti Districts of Himachal Pradesh, the last date for receipt of applications shall be
extended for another period of 15 days from the closing date i.e. a total of 45 days from the date
of publishing of this advertisement in the Employment News.
16. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates for the selection/ test. Canvassing in
any form will be treated as disqualification.
17. The Director, IIPR reserves the right either to fill up or reject the post without assigning any

Question will be objective Type Multiple Choice, set both in Hindi and English in respect
of Section 1,3&4. The questions in Section 1,2 & 4 will be of level commensurate with the
essential qualification viz. Graduation and questions in Paper 3 will of 10th standard level.
There will be no interview for the post of Technician (T-1) & Technical Assistant (T-3) and after
the completion of the written test, the result will be published according to the available vacancies on the
basis of the merit.
