THE 12 BRIDGES

The Ability To Use One’s Arms To Transfer Power

By: Instructor Marc Heon

When practicing kung fu, it is paramount to understand the process of transferring power.
Power is rooted in your stances, travels through the body via the hip, and is transferred to
the intended target through your limbs.

With the 12 Bridges, the concept is to take your power and transfer it through your arms.
As with all of your kung fu movements, the intention must be present in order to
effectively accomplish this goal. Below are the 12 Bridges; concepts of power transfer
that will help you unlock many of the secrets of kung fu movements, and experience
success in your training.
