ThetransformationoftheNationalHistoricalMuseumwilloccuroverthree
phases:
Phase1:Preservationoftheexistingstructureandupdatingofthemuseums
systems.ThisphasealsoincludestheconstructionofaHistoryofHistoryPavilion
andaHistoryoftheFuturePlatform asfrontispiecestothebuilding,signaling
themuseumsforthcomingapproachtohistory.
Phase2: Curatorial: ConstructionoftheHistoryofHistoryinteriorpavilionsand
exhibitionsandtheHistoryoftheFutureinfrastructure;constructionofthe
culturalmixingspacesthatcatalyzethebuildingstwosides:theCultureCaf,the
CultureHall,theCultureCommonsHall,andtheCultureForum.
Phase3:Aproposedthirdphasewouldentailtheconstructionofanadditional
exteriorpavilion locatedtothenorthofthebuilding,housingmuseumarchives,
technicalspacesandstaffoffices,therebyfreeingupadditionalspacefor
educationalfunctionswithinthemuseumandallowingforgreatercirculation
betweenthemuseumstwohalves.
