After installation and before remote starting, program the following features:
x Set to Tach mode. Remote start will not run properly if not set to Tach Mode. (Menu 3, Item 2, Option 4 in instruction manual)
x Default transmission setting on the Viper is Manual. If the Tacoma has an automatic transmission, set to Automatic Transmission Mode. Skip this step if Tacoma has a manual transmission. (Menu 3, Item 1, Option 2)

This wire is connected directly to the sirens RED, which will be mounted in
the engine compartment. The BLACK wire coming
from the siren needs to be grounded.
There is a fuse inside the Vipers brain. There are two positions possible:
(+) or (-). Put the fuse in the (+) position.

POWER UNLOCK
There are two bundles of wires coming from the drivers door into the
kick panel. Both bundles have a GREEN/BLACK wire. If the incorrect
GREEN/BLACK wire is tested first, there will be no voltage change when the
door is unlocked.
Keeping the same unlocking scheme as the OEM remote (i.e. push unlock
once to unlock drivers door, push unlock twice to unlock all doors) must be
programmed after everything is installed. This is called Double Pulse
Mode. To do this: Menu 1, Item 6, Option 2. (See Viper 5806V Install Guide
for instructions on how to do this)
There are two bundles of wires coming from the drivers door into the
kick panel. Both bundles have a PURPLE wire. If the incorrect PURPLE wire
is tested first, there will be no voltage change when the door is unlocked.

In programming, set Viper to Tach Mode. This is a must. If this isnt done,
remote start will not work properly. To do this: Menu 3, Item 2, Option 4.
(See Viper 5806V Install Guide for instructions on how to do this)

This wire should go to the driver door trigger wire at the fusebox, to send a
door open signal to the Tacoma's computer and shut offf the headlights when
the remote start is turned off or times out. The driver's door trigger wire should
be cut on the fuse box side of the door trigger wire from the Viper (H2/15,
below), a diode should be placed in-line with the stripe facing away from the
fuse box, and this wire should be added to the fuse box (non-stripe) side of the
diode. See diagram.

Install the hood pin in a secure location in the engine compartment. Connect
H2/17 to the hood pin.
DOOR TRIGGER
Three short wires must be connected to H2/15 in order to split the signal to the
front left door, the front right door, and the rear doors. A 1 amp diode needs to
be added in between each of these short wires and the three Tacomas wires.
On the diode, there is a stripe on one side. This side with the strip must
connect to the Tacomas wires. (See Figure 3 for full diagram)
