Terms & conditions for Walk-In-Interview

EPI a Mini Ratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the aegis of Department of Heavy
Industries with turnover of more than ` 1000 Crores, engaged in execution of wide range of multi
facet projects on turnkey basis in Power, Steel, Industrial, Civil & Infrastructure Sectors,
requires GM (Civil)/ DGM (Civil)/Sr. Manager (Civil)/Manager Gr. - II (Civil)/ Assistant Manager
(Civil) to be appointed on Contract basis.
The broad Terms and Conditions for above posts will be as under;
1.

Duration of contract shall be initially for a period of two years or till completion of
project whichever is earlier. The appointment shall be co-terminus with the tenure of
project. The appointment on contract basis will not confer any right to claim absorption
in regular establishment of the Company or for appointment in other projects of the
Company at any time.

2. The pay scales of GM (Civil)/ DGM (Civil)/Sr. Manager(Civil)/Manager Gr.-II(Civil)/


Assistant Manager (Civil) will be (`43200-66000)/ (`32900-58000)/ (`29100-54500)/
(`20600-46500)/ (`16400-40500) plus DA, and other allowances per month as applicable.
At present the rate of IDA is 98.1%.
3. The selected candidates will be allowed to draw Annual increment @ 3% on Basic Pay in
the scale on successful completion of one year of employment if there is no unauthorized
break in service this employment, and on satisfactory performance.
4. The qualification, experience, maximum age for the posts and number of vacancies shall

*Job Description of General Manager (Civil)- Experience of serving as Divisional/Regional Head in


Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Commercial organization/ Construction Industry. He /
She should have experience in overall execution & monitoring of multi-disciplinary large value Projects
independently & should be well conversant with the preparation of Project Budget; Cash flow etc. shall
poses ability to lead team of Engineers from multi-disciplinary tasks. Knowledge of project monitoring
tools is essential. Should be able to handle independent charge of complete division.
** Desirable experience for the posts of DGM/Sr. Manager/Manager Gr. II/ Assistant Manager
Civil
Applicants should possess the experience in Concrete Works/Roads/Construction of Sports
Complexes/ Quality Control and billing. The applicants having working experience in these areas will be
given preference.
Computer knowledge will be mandatory requirement for all the above posts

Numbers of vacancies are tentative and subject to change.


5. Age relaxation will be considered in case of SC / ST / OBC/PWD/Ex-Serviceman
applicants as per Govt. guidelines. Further age relaxation of up to 5 years will be
considered in case of deserving candidates.
6. Selection of candidates shall be done by the duly constituted Walk-in-Interview
Board.
7. The selected candidates will not be entitled for any transfer grant on inter project
transfers.
8. The selected candidates will be entitled for Bachelor accommodation if posted at project
sites.
9.

The selected candidates will be entitled for TA/DA as applicable to the post as per
company rules for official work on tour.

10. The selected candidates will be entitled for 12 days Casual Leave in a calendar year and
15 days Earned Leave for each completed year of continuous service. The un-availed
Earned leave, if any, in a calendar year shall be carried forward till the end of the
contract period and can be encashed on completion of contract period.
11. The selected candidates will be entitled for terminal benefits @ 15 days salary
(Basic+DA) for each completed year of service.
12. The selected candidates will be covered under the Group Personal Accident Insurance
Scheme of the Company.

13. During the period of employment the selected candidates shall follow the instructions of
the superiors. They shall not act beyond their delegated authority and shall indemnify
the Company for any losses suffered by it due to any of their wrongful act.

14. The selected candidates will have the liability to serve anywhere in India and aboard as
per requirement and operational priority of the Company.
15. During the period of contractual engagement, the Company shall have the right to
terminate the contractual engagement by giving one months notice in writing or by paying
one months pay in lieu thereof without assigning any reason. The selected candidates will
also have the right to terminate their contract by way of resignation by giving one months
notice in writing to the Company or by paying one months pay in lieu thereof , subject to
its acceptance by the company and after their handing over property, assets, documents,
records etc., of the Company under their charge. However, the Company reserves the
right not to accept their resignation.
16. The continuance of the contract employment will be subject to satisfactory performance
of work and punctuality. If any of the above is not found satisfactory, their services will
be terminated without assigning any reason & without any notice period.
17. Selected candidates at the time of joining shall produce the following documents :
a) Certificate of Medical fitness from the Medical Officer of Government /
Municipal Hospitals.
b) Certificates and testimonials in support of their qualifications, experience, caste
etc. (in original together with a set of attested copy of each) certificate.
c) Unconditional release order from their present employer, if presently employed.
18. In the event the information given in the bio-data/application form or any other
document in connection with employment in EPI, is found to be incorrect or even if after
their joining appointment with EPI, if it is found that they have given any false
information/incorrect documents , their services are liable to be terminated.
The candidates willing to appear in the Walk-in-Interview are required to fill in the Online
Application Form available on EPIs Website and carry a copy of duly filled print out of
Application Form along with recent colour Passport Size Photograph, original & attested copies
of all the certificates in support of date of birth, qualification, experience, caste, and ID proof
to be eligible to appear in the Walk-in-Interview. The candidates shall report for Walk-inInterview at Engineering Projects India Ltd., Corporate Office, Scope Complex, Core 3, Lodi
Road, New Delhi 110003. The reporting time for Walk-in-Interview is 09:30 A.M. to 11:00
A.M. on 13th January, 2015 for the post of Sr. Manager (Civil), 15th January, 2015 for the
post of Manager Gr. II (Civil) and 16th January, 2015 for the post of Assistant Manager
(Civil). Candidates reporting after 11.00 A.M. will not be considered for interviews. For the
posts of GM (Civil) & DGM (Civil), eligible candidates would be informed separately via their
e-mail regarding their date of interview. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending interview.

Method of filling Online Application Form:

Eligible and interested candidates are required to apply Online through EPIs Website
(Recruitment section) www.epi.gov.in. The Registration is open from 1200 Hours on 06.01.2015
till 1700 hours on 08.01.2015.

Before registering the applications at EPIs website the candidates should possess the following:

Valid E-mail ID, which should remain valid & active till the completion of selection process;

Scanned copy of latest passport size colour photograph and signature in JPEG format only having
size of 40 KB & 30 KB respectively for uploading in the application form;

Separate write ups (maximum of 250 words) on (i) the Position currently held; and (ii) Pen picture
of professional experience, achievements and significant contribution in the professional field;

Personal details like date of birth, contact details, address details, caste etc. (Candidates are
required to produce original certificates to this effect at the time of interview for verification);

Educational details like date of passing, percentage of marks (in case of candidates having CGPA
Scores, equivalent percentage is to be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by
the University / Institute. Candidates are required to submit a certificate to this effect from
the University/ Institute at the time of interview) etc.;

Professional details like Company name, period of working, posts held, area of working etc.
(Candidates are required to produce original certificates to this effect at the time of interview
for verification).

The steps for submitting the Online Application Form are as follows:

Step - 1:- Candidate is required to click the link given in Recruitment section of EPIs website
for Registration & select the name of the post he/she is willing to apply for.

Step - 2:-The personal, educational & experience details are required to be filled up and
photograph & signature to be uploaded. If required, the candidate may edit any details already
entered before finally submitting the application.

On submission of personal, educational & experience details, the registration process is completed
by generating a unique Application no. in the Application confirmation page for future reference.

Step 3: - The candidate is required to print the application confirmation page and duly filled
Application Form for future reference at the time of interview.

General Conditions

Mere submission of application will not entail right for claiming Appointment;

All qualifications should be from Indian Universities or Institutes recognized by appropriate


statutory authorities;

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories are required to submit copies of Caste


Certificates/Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format
at the time of Interview;

The candidates must furnish an OBC certificate (clearly mentioning as belonging to non-creamy
layer) as per the format prescribed by the Govt. of India (not older than six months as on
31.12.2014), from the Competent Authority, at the time of Interview;

Candidates employed in Central / State Government Departments / Public Sector Enterprises etc.
should produce NOC (No Objection Certificate) at the time of Interview from their employer;

Applicants having work experience in Private Sector Organizations are required to submit an
experience certificate in the letter head of the Company having details of the Company;

If the information furnished by the candidate in any part is found to be false or incomplete or is
not found to be in conformity with eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement, the
candidature / appointment will be considered as revoked / terminated at any stage of recruitment
process or after recruitment or after joining, without any reference given to the candidate;

All correspondence to the candidates will be made via E-mail on the E-mail ID provided by the
candidate in the application form. No other mode of communication will be adopted.

Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.

All candidates are requested to go through the detailed advertisement carefully to clear all
doubts/queries.
