Important notice

Troubleshooting

u Keep the product and the transmitters from water and

falling down.
u This product will help you to lock/unlock doors or trunk, to
remote start your car, it will also alarm for any un-authorized
impact.
u To ensure maximum performance, it is highly recommended
to install this product by a professional technician.
u When the battery voltage is low, please use the original
charger to charge it in time.
u The emitter has to be installed according to the manual to
set the maximum distance monitoring.
u This system can work for long distance remote monitoring,
but a decrease in operating range could be caused by weather
conditions, nearby radio towers, structures around the vehicle,
etc.

does not lock the door but

installed in a Baro lock

6. The siren does not

u The car can only be started when the car is parked on P

and the handbrake is pulled up. Otherwise, it may cause the car
runs suddenly. Steelmate does not liable for any accident or losses
caused by this improper action.
u When the handbrake is not pulled up, the car can not be
remote started. The Siren will chirp and the turn signals flash three
times. No icon will appear on the screen and the system will
return to previous armed status.

32. Disable the former transmitters

Turn transmitter ON/OFF

Press the learning button in ECU for 10 seconds, the LED

indicator will turn on for 10 seconds and the siren will chirp once
to indicate both former transmitters are disabled.

The transmitter needs to be turned on before the first use,

the factory setting is OFF.
Turn transmitter ON: press button (about 3 seconds) till the
transmitter is turned on with melody and vibration, the backlight
of LCD screen on the transmitter will change the color from green
to yellow and to red, the icons will light up one by one.
Turn transmitter OFF: press button till a Bee heard (about
5 seconds) .
Transmitter will be shut down when the battery is used up.
If the transmitter cannot be turned on, please charge it first.

33. Programming new transmitters

Press footbrake, turn the ignition key from ACC OFF to ACC ON
8 times continuously and keep the key at ON position finally, the
LED indicator of alarm system will turn on, press button of the
first transmitter once, the LED indicator will flash to indicate the
successful program of this transmitter; press button of another
transmitter once, the LED indicator will flash to indicate the
successful program of the second transmitter.
When the two new transmitters are functioning, the former
transmitters can not be used automatically.

Transmitter charging
When a transmitters battery is low, the transmitter will send
out warning sound after the button is pressed, the battery indicator
will display the battery status.
When the battery indicator is empty, the transmitter needs to
be charged immediately.
Charging: connect the chargers plug to transmitters battery
charging socket, and then insert the charger into the vehicles
cigarette lighter. The transmitters battery can be charged
discontinuously.

Functions

31. Clock alarm & time

setting

1. Remote engine start

In ARMED status, press button for 2 seconds to remote start
the car. The transmitter will "Bee" once with the icon flashes.
1). When the car is remote started, the transmitter sends out the
confirmation signal once every 2 minutes. The icon flashes and
the icon will turn ON; The transmitter Bee, Bee, Bee 3 times
and vibrates once, this will repeat once. In the mean time, the
temperature in the car will be refreshed once for every 30 seconds.
2). 12 minutes later, the engine will be shut down and the system
will return to previous armed status.
3). Press button for 2 seconds to stop engine while the car is
remote started, the transmitter will "Bee"once, and the system
will return to previous armed status.
4). Press button to open doors. The car key should be turned
to ACC ON position in 30 seconds after start the engine; otherwise,
the system will return to previous armed status.
5). If the remote start is unsuccessful, the system will return to
previous armed status.
6). If the air-condition is switched on, when engine is remote
started, air-condition will work automatically.

2. Monitoring temperature inside the car

EXT flashes on the LCD screen, press button to enter TIME
setting mode.

will chirp for 30 seconds with the turn signals flashing, the engine
will be immobilized. The

the transmitter beeps Bee-Bee-Bee for about 30 seconds with
8 times vibration. The system will return to its former arming status
after alarm.

In armed status, opening door/trunk alarm, ignition alarm or the

second impact within 15 seconds, will trigger the alarm chirping
continuously, press button or

16. Emergency override

When the transmitter is lost or damaged and the car is armed,
open the door with key and keep the door opened, press footbrake,
turn the ignition key from ACC OFF to ACC ON for 10 times and
keep the key at ACC ON position finally for 2 seconds, the system
will be overrided. Press button or program a new transmitter
will activate the normal alarm function.

17. Anti-hijack

signals flashing, the engine will be immobilized, the icon and
the
icon will flash on the transmitters LCD screen, the backlight

Bee-Bee-Bee for about 30 seconds with 8 times vibration. The
system will return to its former arming status after alarm.

Press
button for 2 seconds when the engine is running will
trigger the anti-hijack function, the turn signals will flash quickly
and the siren will chirp sharply. In 20 seconds, the engine will be
shut down. Press button to stop this function.

18. Valet mode

This is very useful when washing the vehicle or having it serviced.
In valet mode, the system will not arm, even with the transmitter,
but all convenience functions (door lock/unlock and trunk release)
will work normally.
When ACC on, press button for 3 seconds, the LED indicator
will turn on, then press button once in 5 seconds, the siren will
chirp once to indicate that the system is in valet mode.
In valet mode, when ACC on, press button once, the LED
indicator will turn off to indicate that the system is in normal alarm
mode again.

system will chirp for 4 minutes only, then stop. If a new trigger is

19. Not-armed warning

When the car is parked with the doors closed and the system is
not armed in 10 seconds, the siren will chirp 3 times and the turn
signals will flash to remind the owner to arm the system.

triggered, the flashing frequency will
be changed, the owner will know what
has happened when he notices the flashing frequency of the LED
indicator.

20. Passive arming/auto arming (optional)

When the car is parked with the doors closed and the system is
not armed in 10 seconds, the siren will chirp 3 times and the turn
signals will flash 3 times to remind the owner to arm the system.
20 seconds later, the transmitter beeps Bee-Bee 3 times and
vibrates 5 times with the icon and the
icon flashing on the
LCD screen alternately, the backlight will turn on green to remind
the owner to arm the system; 60 seconds later, the system will
arm in mute mode automatically with the doors unlocked. The
transmitter sends out strident sound once with the icon and the
AUTO -ARM icon appearing on the LCD screen and yellow
backlight turning on.

Attention:
1). When ACC is ON, the AUTO-ARM will stop.
2). When the door is opened and closed again, the system will
enter mute arming mode automatically and the door is not locked.
3). When the car is parked and the engine is turned off, the door
is not opened or not closed, the system will not AUTO-ARM.
4). Before or after auto-arming, when the car is parked with the
doors closed, press
button twice in 5 seconds to end autoarming completely.
The passive arming function is factory setting; you can cancel
this function by the jump switch J2 in the ECU to active arming
when the system is being installed. For detail information, please
contact the installation engineer.

When shock sensor/tilt sensor is triggered, the LED indicator will

flash quickly while alarming. Then the LED indicator will quickly
flash 4 times every 2 seconds until the system is disarmed and
turn the key to ACC ON.
To open door/trunk, turn ACC ON, press footbrake will trigger the
system, the LED indicator will flash quickly and continuously until
the system is disarmed and turn the key to ACC ON.

12. Opening door/pressing footbrake alarm

In armed status, to open door or press footbrake will trigger the
system and the siren will chirp for 30 seconds with the turn signals
flashing, the engine will be immobilized. On transmitters LCD
screen, the icon and the
icon will flash, the backlight will
turn on yellow, the transmitter beeps Bee-Bee-Bee for about 30
seconds with 8 times vibration. The system will return to its former
arming status after alarm.
In armed status,

21. Central door lock/unlock automatically

15 seconds after the engine running, the doors will lock automatically
by pressing footbrake.
When the door (trunk) is not closed properly, 15 seconds after
driving, the siren will "Bee, Bee, Bee" 3 times, the turn signals will
flash once to remind the owner to close the door after the footbrake
is pressed. If the door (trunk) is not closed in another 15 seconds

9. Impacting tilt sensor (optional)

When a tilt sensor is equipped, any movement of the car will
trigger the alarm system.
In alarm arming mode, when a slight tilt of the car is detected,
the siren will chirp 5 times with the turn signals flashing, the engine
will be immobilized. The transmitter will beep Bee 5 times and
then vibrates once to remind the owner, the
icon and the
icon will flash on the transmitters LCD screen, the backlight
turn on green and yellow alternately. This procedure will repeat
once.
When a big tilt of the car is detected, the siren will chirp for 30
seconds with the turn signals flashing, the engine will be
immobilized. The transmitter beeps Bee-Bee-Bee for about 30
seconds with 8 times vibration to remind the owner, the
icon
and the
icon will flash on the transmitters LCD screen, the
backlight will turn on green and yellow alternately, the engine will
be immobilized, the system will return to its former arming status
after alarm.
In mute arming mode, the movement of the car will trigger the
system, the siren will not chirp, the turn signals will flash, the
transmitters warnings are the same as that in alarm arming mode.

22. Rearming automatically (for unintentional disarming)

When the system is disarmed by pressing button and the doors
are not opened in 25 seconds, the system will rearm with the
doors locked automatically. The transmitter will beep once.
In armed status, press button to disarm the system. In 0.5
seconds, the system detects that the door is opened (the dome
light of some cars will turn on after unlocking the system), but the
shock sensor, till sensor, ACC or footbrake have not been triggered
in 55 seconds, the system will treat it as an unintentional disarming
and will return to previous armed status.

23. Open door reminding

When the system is armed and the door is not closed completely,
8 seconds later, the turn signals will flash 3 times, the siren will
chirp 3 times. The transmitter beeps Bee-Bee-Bee 3 times and
vibrates 3 times, the
icon appears on the LCD screen and
backlight will turn on green.
15 seconds later, if the door is not closed completely, the siren
will chirp with the turn signals flashing until the system is disarmed.
The icon and the
icon flash on the transmitters LCD screen
for about 30 seconds, the backlight will turn on yellow, the transmitter
beeps Bee-Bee for about 30 seconds with 8 times vibration. If
the door is still opened after 30 seconds, the above alarming
action will repeat for about 4 minutes or until the system is disarmed.

10. Sensitivity adjustment of tilt sensor:

There are 3 sensitivity levels of tilt sensor. To press button in
tilt sensor can change the sensors sensitivity alternately: from
level 1, level 2, to level 3, level 1

When the system is armed and the trunk is not closed completely,
8 seconds later, the siren will chirp 3 times and the turn signals

The system is 2-stage warning system: In alarm arming mode,
the first shock impact will trigger the 1-stage warning of the system,
the siren will beep Bee 5 times with the turn signals flashing, the
engine will be immobilized. The transmitter will beep Bee 5 times
and then vibrate once to remind the owner, the
icon and the
icon will flash on the transmitters LCD screen, the backlight
will turn on green. This procedure will repeat once.
In alarm arming mode,

Window closer function is only for vehicle with convenience

system (turn key into lock position and hold until the roof/windows
are closed).

In alarm arming mode, press button once to unlock the doors,

the turn signals will flash twice and the siren will chirp twice, the
system will be disarmed. The transmitter beeps Bee-Bee twice,
the
icon on screen will flash twice and then turn on for 5
seconds. The
icon will appear on the screen and the backlight
will turn on yellow.
In mute arming mode, press button once to unlock the doors,
the siren will not chirp, the turn signals will flash twice, the
transmitter has the same actions as that in alarm arming mode.

6. Locating the vehicle/panic alarm

Press button for 2 seconds, the siren will chirp for 10 seconds
with the turn signals flashing. Press button again to stop this
function.
Press button for 2 seconds, the turn signals will flash for 10
seconds without siren chirping. Press button again to stop this
function.
Locating the vehicle in alarm mode

Please choose the SW2 switch to "ON" position to switch on this

function. The windows and roof will be closed when arming the
system.
For those vehicles without this function, the SW2 switch must
be on "OFF" position. Otherwise, the central locking system will
be damaged. (Factory setting:SW2 switch on "OFF" position).

26. Antenna range indication

Antenna range shows by signal bar, the more the bar, the stronger
the signal. When the transmitter cannot receive the signal from
the system, the signal bar will disappear in 3 minutes.
The alarm signal will be sent to both transmitters when alarm
is triggered. When a transmitter sends signal to the system, the
system will send the feedback signal to the transmitter only.

27. Status preserving

7. Trunk release
When the car is parked and armed with engine stopped, you can
open the trunk by pressing + buttons together on the transmitter
for 1 second. The transmitter will beep three times and the
icon on screen will flash for 5 seconds. The backlight of LCD
screen will turn on green (for the car with trunk release motor).

If the power is cut off, the system will return to the former status
in 5 seconds when the power is on again.

In arming mode, when remote open the trunk in 30 seconds, the

system will detect the trunk is open. After 2 minutes, the trunk
is still open, the transmitter will beep three times and vibrate

3. Alarm arming & locking the doors

The door trigger can be positive or negative, it can be chosen

by changing the jump switch J3 to (-) or (+) in the PCB of ECU.

When armed, this system will respond if unauthorized entry is

attempted. When the unauthorized entry occurs, the turn signals
will flash and the siren will chirp.

The factory setting is negative door trigger. For more detailed

information, please contact the installation engineer.

29. Electric door lock or Baro door lock

Our system can be used for electric lock and baro lock vehicles.
It can be chosen by changing the jump switch J1 in the PCB of
ECU.
The factory setting is for electric door lock system. For more
detailed information, please contact the installation engineer.

Press button once to arm in alarm arming mode with shock

sensor (tilt sensor if equipped) activated. The doors will be locked
with the LED indicator flashing and the turn signals flash once,
the siren chirps Bee once. The transmitter will beep Bee once
with

30. Warning for triggered system

If the system has been triggered in alarm arming status, when
the system is disarmed and the door is opened:
1).The siren will chirp twice when shock sensor and tilt sensor
has been triggered.
2).The siren will chirp 4 times when door / trunk has been opened,
or ACC has been turned to ON, or footbrake has been pressed.
3).In mute armed mode, the LED indicator will flash continuously
to remind the owner to check the vehicle, the siren wont chirp.
Note: The system will remember that the car has been impacted
after the door is opened for the first time. The preserved memory
will be lost after the ACC is ON.
The system will remind the owner that the car has been impacted
after the door is opened for the second time, the preserved
memory will be deleted automatically after this, but the flashing
of the LED indicator will not be deleted.
