The Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination conducts the Joint Entrance Examination called
as TBJEE in nine venues of Dharmanagar, Kailashahar, Udaipur and Agartala. This test is
conducted for admission of students to the medical, engineering, technological and other
professional degree courses for the seats reserved for the state and also for the seats available for
these courses in different state institutions. The test is conducted in conventional mode and
candidates will have to answer in Optical Marks Recognition/Reading (OMR) system. The questions
will be of multiple choice format
Important dates:

Distribution and submission of application Between 26th December 2015 and 25th January
2016

Despatch of admit card In the 2nd week of March

Examination date 26th and 27th of April 2016

Tentative date of publication of result 1st week of June 2016

Tentative counselling period June to July 2016

After the conducting of examination, the answer sheet will be uploaded in the website of the board
on 28th of April 2016 by evening. Candidates can check the same to compare their answers and
they are recommended to make their feedback if any before the 3rd of May 2015 before 5pm.
Schedule of test:
As mentioned earlier, the test will be conducted on 26th and 27th of April 2016 and here is the detail
about the subjects:
26th April 2016 (Tuesday):

Physics will be conducted between 11 am and 1pm

Chemistry will be conducted in afternoon between 2 and 4pm

27th April 2016 (Wednesday):

Mathematics will be conducted between 11 am and 1pm

Biology will be conducted in afternoon between 2 and 4pm

Candidates taking up the TBJEE will have to appear for three/four papers mentioned above. Each
paper will be conducted for 100 marks.

Candidates seeking admission to technological/engineering courses will have to appear for


physics, chemistry and mathematics paper and this group is called as Group-A.

Those seeking admission to fishery/veterinary/agriculture/medical courses will have to take


up physics, chemistry and biology called as Group-B

Those interested in applying for both categories will have to take up all four papers and this
is called as Group-C.

Eligibility requirement:

Applicants must be Indian citizens and they should also be permanent residents of the state
of Tripura.

Either the applicant or his/her parents should be residing in the state continuously for not
less than 10 years immediately before the date of applying.

The applicants must have passed or appeared or should be appearing in the higher
secondary examination of Tripura Board of Secondary Education/CBSE/equivalent in 2016.
The applicant must have studied/studying the higher secondary course with the subject in
which he/she desires to appear at Tripura JEE 2016.

The rule of stay in the state is not applicable to children of All India Services Officers borne in
Manipur-Tripura Cadre and the children of the employees of the state government posted
outside Tripura.

Candidates can get other details about the eligibility requirement from the prospectus that can be
found from the website tbjee.nic.in.
Application form and prospectus:

Interested candidates can get the application form along with prospectus from the TBJEE office with
effect from the 26th of December 2015 to 25th of January 2016 on all working days between 11 am
and 3 pm on payment of Rs.90 in cash. They can get the application form and prospectus from the
following centers as well on the date and time mentioned earlier:

N. S. Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur

Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar College, Belonia

D.D. Memorial College, Khowai

R.K. Mahavidyalaya, Kailashahar

Government Degree College, Dharmanagar

Interested candidates can also get the application form and prospectus by sending a postal request
to the office of the board along with postal order of Rs.90 drawn in favor of the Tripura Board of Joint
Entrance Examination, payable at Agartala Head Post Office. Candidates are recommended to send
their postal request along with a self-addressed envelope of 30cm x 13cm affixed with a postage
stamp of Rs.5.
Candidates can also download the application from the website of the board at tbjee.nic.in and
candidates choosing this mode will have to pay Rs.90 in cash at the time of submission of
application in addition the required enrolment fee and the details for enrolment fee are as follows:
Enrollment fee and application submission:
Candidates should submit the duly filled in application form obtained through any of the modes
mentioned above along with enclosures and challan form marked by the State Bank of India to the
office of the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination before the dates mentioned earlier. In the
case of applications sent through post, those posted on or before 25th of January 2016 will be
accepted provided the same must reach the office of the board on or before the 2nd of February
2016. Here are the details about the enrolment fee to be paid by candidates belonging to different
categories:

UR Rs.350/-

SC & ST Rs.300/-

BPL UR Rs.250/-

BPL SC & ST Rs.200/-

Candidates should deposit their examination fee via challan form from any Branch of SBI. They are
recommended to deposit the commission towards the bank along with exact amount of examination
fee in any branch of SBI, except Melarmath Agartala Branch. If the payment is made through this
branch, there will not be any service charge/commission or exchange fee.
Points to be noted by applicants:

Applicants are recommended to indicate the choice of their examination center in the
application form. However, the final decision will be at the discretion of the board.

Regardless of whether application is accepted or rejected and irrespective of whether the


applicant appears for the examination or not, there will not be any refund of enrolment fee.

Candidates are recommended to write his/her date of birth as exactly recorded in


Madhyamik admit card/birth certificate.

Application that is incomplete in any form will be rejected.
