Marriage: The Archdiocese of Winnipeg requires at least six

months notice prior to the wedding. In addition, you must also be a
registered member in good standing. Marriage Preparation Course
obligatory.
Baptism: You must be a registered member in good standing
for a minimum of three months prior to scheduling your childs baptism.
Confession: every day before Mass and every 1st Friday of
the month from 5:00 P.M. or 6:00 P.M. depending on the schedule of
the Mass.

IV SUNDAY OF ADVENT & CHRISTMAS

Dear Parishioners!

As we do each year, we once again journey into the Christmas Season. No doubt, we will be planning to spend the holidays in the company of those
closest to usour families. Our coming together at the Christmas Eve table, ought to strengthen our love for one another and be a time truly dedicated
for being together. Yet we must also treasure in our hearts the real cause of our joyful celebration: the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. It is Jesus who
graces us with his Spirit who enables us to forgive past grievances and failings. Jesus desires to bestow his gifts of peace, sincerity, and mutual understanding on each family, and on our entire parish community. The charm and magic of the season, expressed by the delightful decorations, delicious
dishes, and tradition of gift-giving, add to the spirit of Joy that comes from the birth of Gods Son. The experience of Christmas calls us to draw closer to
God and to our neighbour, perhaps even to those to whom it is not easy to open our hearts. Beloved parishioners, we wish you all, that these Christmas
holidays bring you an abundance of joy and peace that the newly born Christ child brings into the world.

Our sincere congratulations to parents and godparents!!
PARISH RADIO PROGRAM has been broadcast for many years on
CKJS 810 AM Radio. Each month we must pay $1,333.00 which is
$16,000.00 annually. If we are not able to raise the funds, we will have to
cancel our program which is listened to by many, especially the sick and
elderly and those who are not able to be with us at our Masses. To date,
we have collected $13,395.00. Thank you to: G. Moskal

We still have to collect $2,595 before year end. We have hope in our hearts
that we will still be able to reach our goal by the end of the year. This will
enable us to continue broadcasting our program, especially for all those who
wait for Sundays so they are able to listen to the Mass.
TREE OF LIFE DONATION DRIVE - The University of Manitoba Pro-Life
Group are collecting much needed baby supplies for new mothers in
difficult situations. The students would like to encourage all parishioners
to donate baby items such as bottles, formula, diapers, etc. in the Tree
of Life Donation Drive. Boxes will be at the entrances to the Church
throughout Advent. Please contact John Buksowicz at 204 221-4342 for
further information. Thank you to all for your help and support!
PARISH YOUTH GROUP will be selling Marys Angels (sponsored by
Marian Hour) today, Sunday, December 20 in our parking lot foyer. These
angels are $5.00 and a portion of the sales are designated for the youth for
their fundraiser for the World Youth Day. Mass in the intention of those mentioned on the cards will be celebrated on December 26 at 11:30 a.m.
They will also be selling very nice small symbolic bundles of straw that may be
placed on your tables on Christmas Eve.
FAMILY NEW YEARS EVE CELEBRATION - The Events Committee
is inviting all parishioners and families to join them on December 31 following
the evening mass for a Family New Years Eve Celebration. The event will take
place in our parish hall. Sign up sheets for those interested are available in our
foyers as this will allow for easier and accurate preparation of the event. All
those who will be attending are asked to bring a dish or dessert to share the
food and festivities together.
There will be a movie for the children, kids activities, music, singing and
dancing. This event is open to all parishioners and extended family. Our goal is
to bring our community together and create new lasting memories. They are
also looking for volunteers for that day to assist in all of the activities. If you are

CHRISTMAS CARDS may be purchased in our parish kiosk every
Sunday following the masses.
CATHOLIC WOMENS LEAGUE - we would like to extend a
special thank you to the members of our Catholic Womens League for
their donations this past year which totaled $17,000.00. The ladies have
worked very hard to raise these funds which greatly help our Church.
Thank you also to all parishioners and guests who help to support all
their events. It is through your generous participation and support that
they are able to raise this amount.

do not have envelopes and would like a set are asked to contact our office. We
