ECOPLASBRICK Deliverable N3.2.2

1 Introduction
Task 3.2.2 describes the manufacture of full scale element and internal self standing wall.
The full scale element will be shown in exhibitions and trade fairs. With the construction of
full scale internal self standing wall we show the simplicity of assembly of the pieces
(wooden frame and Ecoplasbrick panels).

2 Full scale specimen

Follow photos show the construction of full scale example to use for demonstration purposes.

3 Internal self standing wall

About full scale example we have improved the design showed in Deliverable 3.1 by means
of more eco-sustainable solution made of a wooden frame.
The aim is to organize collective area subdivided with internal separation self standing walls
defining space without the use of doors; every space can be changed in short time creating
new room.
Self standing interior wall isnt connected by screws to the ceiling and floor. The wooden
frame is connected by natural anti-slip rubber connection.
Advantages of this solution are:
low weight;
low cost;
eco-sustainable solution;
easy assembly;
easy disassembly.

3.1

Substructure (wooden frame)

Workgroup designed self standing walls substructure considering a concentrated load and
structures weight; its made up of wooden frame with square profiles of size of 7cm x 7cm x
290cm.
The wooden frame can house electrical cables and can be opened for inspection; square
profiles have durability, precision and adaptability.

3.2

Panels

The panels have an overall thickness of 3cm and dimension 200cm x 50cm x 2cm,
plasterboard skin has a thickness of 1cm.

3.3

Connection Ecoplasbrick Panels - Substructure

Systems fastening for internal partition self standing walls are: screws or natural glue.
