History
Since March 2012, with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10 SP6, customers have
the option to replace their traditional RDBMS systems with SAP HANA for use with SAP
NetWeaver. This change introduces a shift of processing from the Application layer to the
Database layer.
i7
Running SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, version for SAP NetWeaver on SAP
HANA tackles the big data challenge, supports near real-time planning and analysis by
reducing decision cycle times, and empowers granular planning and scenario modeling for
better preparation and more accurate results.

How does it work and what are the benefits to our SAP
Business Planning and Consolidation customers?
This is done by introducing a new non-disruptive and supplementary software component
called HANABPC. HANABPC re-implements some SAP Business Planning and Consolidation,
version for SAP NetWeaver functions to be accelerated by HANA while having no dependency
on the existing CPMBPC software component used by SAP Business Planning and
Consolidation.
