Please be advised of the following travel and other information in connection with the
41st General Assembly of Student Councils on 8-9 January 2016 at the University of
the Philippines Mindanao campus, Mintal, Davao City:
Traveling from Francisco Bangoy International Airport to UP Mindanao campus
via Taxi
Taxis are readily available outside the airport passenger terminal. Ask the driver to
take you to UP Mindanao via Diversion Road (C.P. Garcia National Highway). Fare
estimate: PHP 400-600.
Taxi rates start at PHP 40 and a succeeding charge of PHP 3.50 per 250 meters. Up
to 4 passengers are allowed per taxi.
via Jeepney / L300 van / Annil Bus

Exit the airport compound by taking the exit on the left side. Take the underpass
to cross the street. Ride any jeepney that will go southbound to take you to
Buhangin. Alight at Milan or near Orange Grove Hotel. Fare estimate: PHP 10.

Ride Buhangin jeepneys to Quirino Avenue or Bankerohan.

(a)

via Mintal jeepney: Alight at Bangko Sentral. Ride a jeepney that heads
towards Mintal. Alight at Holy Spirit Hospital-Mintal. Fare estimate: PHP 20.

(b)

via L300 van: Alight at the L300 van terminal, near Phoenix Gas Station.
Pay at the terminal counter and ride an L300 van to Mintal. Please note,
however, that trips are only available until 10PM. Fare estimate: PHP 23.

(c)

via Annil Bus: Annil Buses park near the same Phoenix Gas Station, left
side. Bus trips, however, are only until 7PM. Fare estimate: PHP 16 (student
discount).

Alight at Holy Spirit Hospital-Mintal or NAPOLCOM.

Ride a tricycle (known to locals as "sidecar" or "princess") across the street and
instruct the driver to take you to UP Mindanao Administration Building. Fare
estimate: PHP 20 (for solo passengers).

Traveling from UP Mindanao campus to Francisco Bangoy International Airport

via Taxi
Taxis can be hired along the National Highway, corner of Chow to Go (near Siopao
Factory). Fare estimate: PHP 400-600.
via Jeepney / L300 van / Annil Bus

Ride any jeepney, L300 van or Annil Bus to Roxas Avenue. Alight at the Ateneo
de Davao University (or ADDU) campus. Fare estimate: PHP 20, jeepneys or
L300 vans; PHP 16 (student discount), Annil Bus.

(2)

Proceed to the side of the road facing the City Triangle across ADDU. Ride a
Landmark 3 jeepney which passes along the airport or any jeepney that will pass
by Buhangin and Panacan, i.e. Tibungco-Roxas jeepneys with signboards
Buhangin-Panacan. Fare estimate: PHP 14-15.

Other information
Smoking is strictly prohibited in Davao City. Failure to comply with city regulations is
an infraction of law and may lead to serious repercussions. Please bring hygiene /
sanitary items, pillows and beddings for your own use.
