If you used numbered offering envelopes in 2015, you can pick up your

and reliable. If you would like to start using offering envelopes in 2016,
just pick up a set and be sure to register your name, address and
envelope number (printed in red ink on the front of the set). If you
have questions about getting or using numbered offering envelopes in

Dear Aldersgate Friends

Thanks to all who made Christmas Eve such a special experience for our
guests and members! Over 630 gathered for our three services (up 120
from 2013). The response to the Christmas offering has been generous
as well. The $6,170 collected is being split equally between two
ministriesone local and one international. Half of the gifts is being
used to buy Bibles for a Methodist Church in Mozambique, Africa. The
other half of the gifts is being donated to The Haven, a shelter for
people who are homeless in Charlottesville. Thank you for your
generosity and faithfulness!
Grace and peace,
Scott

"From 1st time Guest to Faithful Disciple"
Workshop for Aldersgate Members and Leaders
Church Council is pleased to announce a free workshop for Aldersgate
members, attendees, and leaders TODAY, 4:00 7:00 pm, at Aldersgate.
Led by Rev. Paul Nickerson, a church consultant used widely by United
Methodist churches in Virginia, the workshop will look at what vital
churches do to greet first-time guests to worship, to follow up and
begin to connect them with the community of faith.
We will also explore five key ways people grow in discipleship and how
to set up a church system that enhances faith development for all
members, guests, and others. Participants will work on an Action Plan
to implement these principles at Aldersgate. A light dinner is included.
Sign up on the Communication Card.
