TORs

CONTEXT
In the context of the British Councils marketing objective of increasing the IELTS business
development in Bangladesh, we wish to undertake several marketing campaigns in
Bangladesh with particular reference to the cities where we are administering the IELTS
exam.
OBJECTIVE
The consultant will contribute to the achievement of increased numbers of IELTS candidates
taking the test with British Council.
STANDARD ASSESMENT DELIVERABLES
1 Sales calls/visits
a Regular visits to the clients as per the standard visit plan agreed in advance
b Minimum of 4 visits per day (No repeat visits to same agent within 2 weeks,
unless agreed in advance)
c Identify potential partners by field visits and be able to attract for RP
agreement.
d Identify agents/coaching centers already contributing to our business and the
like and therefore establish contact and collect firsthand information.
e Assist prospective RPs to provide necessary support to ensure smooth
vendor creation and contract being signed.
f Confirm/assist/follow up vendor to submit invoices on a regular basis and
report if there is any feedback from any partner/agent.

Communication and Reports


a Daily updates to the Marketing Manager via telephone
b Weekly activity report (day-wise) and plan for the next week via e-mail and
also agree in F2F meetings.
c Market analysis report (to include new developments, market trends etc.)
d Report on IELTS orientation and presentations on RTI and other initiatives
e Report on Seminars/Education Fairs attended

Business Development
a Increase number of RPs.
b Increasing database by adding new agents to online registration system while
adhering to all necessary procedures
c Monitor activity of new agents

Database
a Create and maintain an accurate database of clients in their area of operation
b Classify clients into categories as per the guidelines

Market visibility
a To assist central marketing initiatives by organising below the line (BTL)
activities including road shows, presentations participation in education fairs
etc.
b To maintain record of the promotional material (including POP) stocked in the
agents premises.
c Assist RPs to effectively display BC provided brand materials and taking care
where possible.

To ensure that maximum benefits are availed by partners under the IELTS
Partnership programme

To conduct one IELTS seminar / orientation / presentation per week fortnightly plan should be shared with respective manager in advance
To assist marketing manager in setting up meetings with clients
Conduct regular product briefing sessions at clients premises

Competitor Information
a Monitor and report competitors new offer to agents and candidates
b Report the impact of competitors promotional activities including (ATL and
BTL)

Supervising Officer
The work being assigned will be co-ordinated and supervised by the Exams Business
Development and IELTS Operations managers. They will be the British Councils
representatives and questions are to be directed to them.
Targets: IELTS targets as agreed with the British Council on a yearly basis.
Scope of cities: To be agreed with the British Council from time to time.
