Jan. 10, Sun.-All ladies are welcome to the ladies tea at 4 p.m. in the fellowship
hall. This year Mary Gehman will be sharing with us. Please see Cindy Horning
with any questions or if you would like to sign up to bring some food. We will be
revealing our past secret sisters and pulling names for the up coming year.

Jan. 11, Mon-Ministry Team Meeting, 6 p.m., Board of Elders Meeting at 7 p.m.
Thanks for your prayers for these meetings. If you have questions, encouragement,
suggestions, etc. for our church, or if you have something you'd like to discuss or
present at one of these meetings, please share that with the ministry team. Your
input is welcomed.
Jan. 13, Wed.- Jr. Youth and JGA will meet at the Bowmansville Mennonite
Church from 7-8:30 p.m. Jr. Youth will have a Mystery Supper, so come hungry!
JGA will be doing a service project. JBA will meet at the Gehman Mennonite
School for a gym night. Dads are invited! Boys should be dropped off/picked up at
the school.
Jan. 20, Wed.-Bowmansville District Sewing Circle will meet in the morning and
afternoon. This is the month for our carry in lunch, so bring a hot or cold dish to
share with the group. Place settings and drink are provided. The project for this
month is Newborn Kits. Kits include the following new items: 2 gowns/sleepers
(flannel or similar warm, soft material), 2 undershirts/onsies (short or long sleeves)
4 cloth diapers (flat-fold preferred),1 receiving blanket (light weight fleece or
flannel; min. 36 inches), 4 large safety pins, 1 bar mild soap in wrapper, 1 pair of
socks, 1 cap. Fold items into the receiving blanket and fasten with safety pins. Kits
can be brought to the church and sewing circle will see they are taken to MCC.

Jan. 21, Thurs.-He Named Me Malala-MEDA will host an exclusive showing of
this critically-acclaimed documentary at Penn Cinema in Lititz. 4:30 p.m. Heavy
hors doeuvres at 5:30 p.m. Feature presentation and professional commentary.

Feb. 6, Sat. -Woodcrest Retreats Sweetheart Banquet will be held at the ALIVE
CHURCH (formerly Ephrata Mennonite Church) at 6 p.m. John and Sharon Charles
from Abundant Living will be speaking on the theme "Love That Lasts". Come
enjoy delicious food, special music and encouragement for your marriage! Cost:

-Thank you for the many prayers, cards and expressions of sympathy we
received at the passing of my father. We appreciate every one. Special thanks to
Phil and Kelly who made the long trip to attend his funeral. May God richly bless

-Please pray for the young people of our congregation who are participating in
ACC Bible Quizzing this year. We have four teams involved and are quizzing on
Acts 6-28. You are invited to attend the opening evening of the 2016 Bible
Quizzing season on Sunday, January 17th at Weaverland Mennonite, beginning at
6:30 p.m. We will be hosting several other teams for quizzing here at Gehmans on
Sunday, February 7th at 2 p.m. Additional schedule information is available on the
table in the narthex.

-Crossfire Youth Ministries is seeking a part-time (30 hours) Program Assistant.

Duties include, but are not limited to administrative support and assistance with
youth ministry, programs and activities at Denver and Ashland. Applicants must
have a strong commitment to God and the Christian Faith. Knowledge of MS Office
software required and an understanding of QuickBooks a plus. Resumes may be
