Physical Functioning
I am a man with an average height and slightly above average weight. I am
not buff since I dont lift weights and I am only unto light sports like
badminton and table tennis. I am also into dancing, which is good for
maintaining my health since some of my hobbies include hours of sitting like
playing videogames and watching anime. I also like walking, for some
reasons.
I think my body is at advantage since I am fat enough to have extra energy
in case of emergencies without sacrificing my mobility and speed. I am also
buff enough that I can lift various heavy objects like a full tank of LPG, a
sack of rice, a person with weight at most 50 kilograms, etc, but flexible
enough to dance with ease, bend and curl.
In these last six months, I became taller, which can be used as an asset since
Im a guy, and thats it since most of my growth I concentrated in my social,
cognitive and mental skills.
Cognitive Functioning
I am confident with my cognitive ability, more likely in my analytic, logical
and reasoning skills. I think I got these skills mostly from my mothers side
since some of my relatives are engineers and math teachers, also my mother
is a certified public accountant and my father is a farmer but working part
time as a mechanic.
Aside the biological make up that could have possibly influenced my skill. I
also think that my hobby of playing computer games, and answering Sudoku
and minesweeper puzzles helped me a lot. I often find myself easily got
engaged in logical problems, which, for me, is fun. I think I am also good at
imagining things since I often imagine the problems I am answering to help
me get the picture easily; I also find imagination a way of keeping my mind
busy. I believe that these things help me stay mentally sharp.
Social Functioning
I have two different faces that I use when it comes with dealing people and
problems. Both main faces have their own set of attitudes that are nearly
opposite with each other. Lets call them Clumsy and Calm.
When I am alone and/or I just met someone, I use my Calm face. I also use
it when I am solving difficult problems, tense, scared, shy/insecure, at a
formal party or at school and classroom. When I use Calm face, I am
serious, silent, wears a poker face and a liar. Being silent and serious helps
me think and grasp any situation easily, especially in a place with lots of
distractions, and wearing a poker face and being a liar helps me on dealing
with new people. I tend to know the person I am dealing with and try to
evaluate if or when I can use my other Face, Clumsy.
Unlike Calm, when I use Clumsy, I am noisy, unpredictable, funny, easy
to deal with, positive, creative and have high confidence. I usually use it to
lighten the mood, when I am with friends, families and relatives, and in a
semi or non formal parties or gatherings. Being positive, reckless, funny, and
confident makes approachable and lightening up moods, also being noisy
and unpredictable can make me a star of a party. I use being bold in special
cases.
With these two Faces I can switch from one to another instantly to be able
to handle unpredictable circumstances like emergencies and surprises. Aside
from switching, I can also merge them like wearing the face of clumsy but
uses Calm attitude to lighten a mood without being reckless in decisions or
vice versa, for giving a surprise without being noticed. Basically add them
together and you got me.
Emotional Functioning:
I often keep my emotions to myself, especially the negative ones. I tend to
cover these negative emotions by showing fake emotions, good one. I think
thats the reason why most people see me as a good person because for me,
there no such thing as a naturally good person, there are just those who can
filter and control their emotions and those who dont, in short, bold. I only
show my negative emotions or reactions to the people who are close to me
thats because I already established a strong relationship with them and
know their level of tolerance when it come to negative reactions. I can say
that someone really know who I am, when I am already bold to them. I
use being bold in special cases. remember this line? This is what it meant.
Showing my fake emotions, on the other hand, helps me know the person I
am dealing with (note: fake emotions are not all good ones.). The line I tend
to know the person I am dealing with and try to evaluate if or when I can use
my other Face, Clumsy. is also referring to this.
Basically, my emotion differs from time to time, but most of the time, I am
alone and I use Clumsy when I am alone, so that means, I am happy,
contented and have a positive outlook in life.
Bodily Pains
I am insecure when it comes to my physical appearance, especially my face.
I have my cute nose, thick eyebrows, imperfect teeth, and elongated. Wow,
that was hard. I also have poor posture which developed when I was young.
But having these insecurities made who I am today.
I sometimes wonder
accept who I am and utilize the rest that Ive got (my cognitive ability) to
survive this unequal world.
General Disposition
I have covered some points about this topic on my previous sections. I
already told you that I am happy, contented and have a positive outlook in
life; I also mentioned that most of the time, I am happy. And yes, all of these
are true, I am happy and contented about who I am today, about what Ive
achieved and received. Keeping this pace of change is ideal for me and will
be useful in future.
Conclusion
Staying happy is a major part of my life. I told you that my clumsy face has
a positive attitude and staying positive is important. I stay being positive by
talking to myself. Yes, youve heard it right. Talking with myself let me
evaluate myself by asking question that bothers me or could affect my
outlook and try to find answers deep inside.
With means of maintaining my outlook, I will continue living and improving
myself. I may be contented, but that doesnt mean I am satisfied. I want to
be useful for my family and community.
