Explorers Celebrate
Christmas
A congenial group of Explorers fellowship
members gathered at the home of Norine
Sharp on December 14 for the final event of
the 2009 season, the traditional Christmas
party. The festive luncheon, served at noon
by Caraway Catering, included rosemary
and garlic infused roast beef, red apple,
red onion and radish salad with greens and
sweet vinaigrette dressing; a medley of
roasted potatoes; an assortment of miniature
cheesecakes and chai spiced tea cakes, rolls
and beverage. Hosts were Vivian Harris and
Taeko and Ernie Leach. Master storyteller
Alice Palda presented the program, an
entertaining true account of a Christmas
experience in the life of Norman Vincent
Peale. This winter’s heavy snows held off
until January, so weather posed no problem.
