OBJECTIVES

Review where Spain is.


Introduce some aspects about the Spanish Culture:
in food, monuments, sports and art.
Be aware of the differences between British and
Spanish Culture.
Develop empathetic attitudes in the students
towards other cultures.

TIMING: 90 MINUTES

Guess the topic through some objects given to the students

Watch a power point related to the different Spanish aspects


and answer the guessing questions

All students will learn to name at least four Spanish


meals, learn two Spanish monuments, two football teams
and two famous Spanish paintings.
Most students will learn to name the ingredients in a
Spanish, place the monuments in a map, name a famous
football player from a Spanish team and say the author
of a famous Spanish painting.
Some students will learn how to cook a Spanish recipe,
know which made a monument, name more famous
Spanish sportspeople and name the style of some
Spanish paintings

Create a poster
Each group will work one aspect of the Spanish culture
(Sports, Art, Monuments and Food) each including:
- Matching activity
- Unscramble activity
- Research activity
Present the poster to the rest of the class

Debate comparing similarities and differences between both


cultures.
