Dear Reviewers,

This portfolio was the main focus of UWRT 1101-028 with Ms. Blandford. I chose an
inn template to model my portfolio because it directly reflects my love to travel and I related
traveling to how I progressed throughout the semester. Traveling is an equivalent to progressing;
you are at one place or location at a time while eventually progressing/traveling to another. With
this, another important component of my travel theme is exploring. You have to explore who
you are and where you are in order to get the full effect of your surroundings or where you are
throughout the class. I felt that the theme of traveling was a creative and personal way to display
my works. With this foundation, I was able to build my portfolio to reflect upon how I have
changed as a reader, a writer, and a learner.
This piece is very important to me. I put so much work and dedication into this portfolio,
which ultimately led to a great outcome. We not only had to do a final portfolio for this class,
but we also had to complete a midterm version. The midterm took hours of tedious website
making and a great amount of knowledge of my student learning outcomes that I have
progressed on throughout this semester. I am thoroughly pleased to how my piece turned out and
I believe it is one of my best works. My creative side shined, and I was able to create a
something that went above and beyond the average. I was able to use different modalities to
enhance my creative works which made my portfolio stand out among others.
To help you understand my theme, here are a few tips while reviewing my portfolio.
Each bullet point is what each tab in my portfolio represents.

The Inn is the basis of the portfolio or the website, it is the template of the site.
Therefore, I made The Inn tab house one of the most important papers of the semester:

my Literacy Memoir.
Under The Inn tab is another tab labeled Technology. Just as if a hotel website could
portray the different technologies they have to offer, I labeled my tab as such. Under this,

is another one of the major papers: my Genre Analysis.

The Rooms are places that reflect the Inn. In this tab I have my reading responses as the
rooms. If you click the Reflection and More! tab, it will show you my reflections of

the images and why I chose to include them.

Under Locations I chose to put my daybook entries because they demonstrate what I was

thinking and where I was (the different locations) throughout the semester.
Exploring (Explore) is very important while traveling. My Writings to Explore show my

improvement and how my writing skills have expanded throughout the semester.
Newest Additions allow for hotels to continue to have something new and shiny. Under

this tab houses a renovated (revised) Writing to Explore.

Reviews are something that are very important when it comes to a hotel and to a students

academia. This tab houses several rough drafts that my peers have thoroughly reviewed.
Email Me or a contact page is something that most websites have in order to ask specific
questions that might occur. Therefore, email exchanges between myself and Ms.
Blandford are displayed to show the questions Ive asked in order to improve my essays.
