letters by hand on
behalf of a cause in
one year? In 1893,
that is exactly what
Annie Armstrong
did on behalf of
missions. Because of
her inspiration and
that of many others, Southern Baptists
give yearly to the Annie Armstrong
Easter Offering for North American
missions. After all, Jesus called us to
take the gospel to “Jerusalem, Judea,
and Samaria” as well as to the rest of the
world (Acts 1:8). We are also giving part
of these funds for our mission efforts
in Florida. Our state is one of the great
mission fields of the continent.
There are an estimated 255 million
people in the United States and Canada
who do not know Christ, 3 out of every
4 people. As you give in this special
offering, 100% is used to support
more that 5,300 missionaries through
the North American Mission Board
and dozens in Florida including those
who are still serving in Haiti. As you
write that check, just as Annie wrote
the letters, you are multiplying “the
loaves and fishes,” also like the little boy
who gave his lunch to Jesus. Forty-six
percent of the North American Mission
Board budget comes from the Annie
Armstrong Offering.
Your offering will help to start
new churches, engage in college
evangelism, work through inner-
city centers, enable associational
missionaries to oversee many churches
who do not have pastors, provide
apologetics and interfaith evangelism
training, minister in resorts, and help
with the world’s third-largest disaster
relief program.
Just to name a few ministries across
the continent, Phil Langley supervises
starting over 100 new churches a year
in 67 languages in California. Nathanael
Bishop works with thousands in inner-
city Detroit by providing meals, lodging,
camps for children, and the good
news of Christ. Ann Walker ministers
in Utah where there is one Baptist
church for every 45,000 people, while
the Mormons have a “Ward” for every
200 people. Jean Puttman ministers to
10,000 international seafarers from 70-
plus countries each year at the Seaman’s
Center in Freeport, Texas. I could go on
and on. Jesus is risen from the dead,
alive, and well, working throughout the
world.

We are inviting all children in 1st-4th grades to join us in KidzTown as we

worship God “Kid Style” next Easter weekend. Our Easter worship will be
at 9:30 in the Discipleship Building in Room 120.

Come worship with us as we learn about the death and resurrection of

our Lord Jesus. Afterwards the children will be taken to our KidzTown
Neighborhoods (Bible and Life Groups) in the Education Building. Here
they will meet in small groups to study God’s Word and

 FBCN SportsOutreach is exited to offer a unique basketball clinic for the
area youth, ages 7-14, on Saturday, April 10, 2010. SportsOutreach
Coaches are urged to participate in this clinic as well. Early registration is
recommended. Check-in will begin at 8:30am in the Family Life Center.
The Clinic activities will run from 9:00am - 11:30am.

Our clinic will be led by three exceptional basketball coaches: David Zimroth,
Scott Stewart, and Don Stewart. This clinic
will be an opportunity for athletes and
coaches to improve fundamentals, while
also picking up new and exciting drills.

This is a can’t miss event, if you are

basketball. Coach Stewart will also be
leading a devotional lesson that is
motivating for all young basketball players.
