About Sherman Jr./Sr. High School

Sherman Jr./Sr. High School, with
an enrollment of approximately
120, provides a rich curriculum for
such a small school. We enjoy
strong community support and our
school serves as the hub for Sherman Countys social functions.
Test scores routinely exceed State
of Oregon averages in all test categories. The past two years SJSHS
has been rated as an OUTSTANDING SCHOOL by the
Oregon Department of Education.
Graduating seniors have access to
outstanding local scholarship opportunities and a high percentage
of graduates go on to pursue post
secondary education.

Technology is well integrated into

the curriculum. Up-to-date computer labs, a modern, well equipped
library, high speed internet, interactive video, on-line classes and
Smart Boards are available to support and augment instructional
programs. We continually achieve
great success because of the skills
and dedication of our employees;
the hard work and character of our
students; the support from District
parents/guardians, patrons, volunteers and the leadership of the
School Board. We are fortunate to
enjoy a state-of-the-art, all-weather
track facility, a quality baseball
field, new tennis courts, a beautiful
gymnasium complex which boasts

two basketball courts and a well

equipped weight training facility.
Many Sherman County residents
are followers of our successful
academic and athletic programs.
