My practical place

I started my radiologist practical studies in January. It is from 8.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. every
day. I am in the Rehabilitation X-ray department of the Szent Ferenc Hospital, and I like the
practical attain of the profession. There are 4 rooms in my practical place, 2 of them are
suitable for chest shots 1 of them is a lying table x-ray which is suitable for taking any shots.
Finally the fourth room is suitable for processing and transmitting the shots. I have already
made a lot of kinds of shots. The circumstances are convenient. We check the data of the
people who come for x-ray shot for care then we ask them to take off for the clothes which are
needed and finally we make the examination asked by the doctor. We sterilize the used place
after every patient and we make our task with the other patients. The hygiene and the
ventilation of the room is very important and we have to concentrate and make very accurate
work to make the doctors work easier when they got the shots and they analyse he part of the
body. The doctor can say result about the condition of the people by way of our work.
Therefore I consider this profession very important because our work plays an important work
for the doctor and the patient too. We have to set the shots in accurately about the appropriate
part of the body then it will come into sight after fixing it with the right amount of ray and
processing it. I will be a student at this practical place until the end of April, and I will be on a
basic nursing practice in the Gastroenterology department for a couple of weeks. After that
my summer practice will begin I have not got the place yet, but I am waiting for performing in
my acquired profession in a flurry and happily. In my profession next to the work to acquire
the proper treatment with the people is important too. In my practical place I have learnt a lot
from the professionals yet and I am very happy to study from these well-educated people so I
owe this to them. I always try to give my best knowledge to show them that I can come
through in the medical profession. In the next school year I will get practice in the field of CT
(computed tomography) and MR (magnetic resonance). In this field I could know only just
pictures and some basic and important information but I am waiting curiously for the
knowledge getting from the practice. These fields give more detailed picture about the smaller
veins or the histic transformations so the doctor can have an appropriate diagnosis. Our task is
to take a suitable shot which will be given to the doctor. The radiologist is a very responsible
profession and I feel that I have had a good decision to acquire it. I hope in the future when I
will acquire the right knowledge and practice I can work in the world of radiograpy as a
professional. And I hope with this I can do well to others and myself too.

My opinion about the medical service

In my opinion the medical service is a kind of field which has got an important role in our
life. There will always be patients so it is wanted to train and employ professionals who can
attend them. When I decided to choose this profession I did it because I have always
interested in it and I like helping to others and there are more health workers in my family. So
I can imagine my future in this profession. The medical service has got a lot of fields and each
of them requires different work. So it is needed to get the suitable knowledge and practice for
every field. I think the doctors have got the hardest task to look for every patient treat them
well and apply the proper examination, operation or treatment. In this work the work of the
nurses helps the doctor and those people who make the wanted examinations. The hospital is
a big family which consist of the health workers and the patients. Their task is to save the
health and cure. We must go to regular checks to keep ourselves healthy. And if we are sick
we should rely on the health service. It is important to live suitably and to take care of our
health to avoid the illnesses but there are sicknesses which develop genetically so in this case
the hospital cure help our recovery. The task of the health workers is very important because
peoples life depend on their work. The aim of the medical service is to make fewer patients
and to cure the sick people because this is their mission. Its topic is the different instruments
and medicines which help the attendance. Every health workers duty is the calling for the
people, the inclination to cure and the secrecy about the patients. And it is also important to
give as much help as we can to the patients and the provided people. So we should respect and
esteem them because their aim is our good health life. They may not have an easy task to do
the best every day to every patient so they do a beautiful and responsible work day by day. I
started my studies with appropriate lesson preparedness. We started from the basis for
example sterilization, pathology, epidemiology, psychology and safety knowledge. It was
important to acquire the Latin and the first aid knowledge. As amplification the medical
service and the English get role too. But the most important was the anatomy. Our
professional is based on the anatomy and in the second semester we started to learn x-ray and
cutting anatomy. We learn the necessary studies for the profession very detailed. And we can
do them at the practical place correctly. The acquired knowledge is important to do our work
well. Our important subject is the clinical knowledge because we will need it if we would like
to work in the medical service. We need all knowledge in connection with it because we can
do our best in this way. This profession is very important and we must take it seriously
because other peoples life can depend on us. Therefore we must do our best on behalf of the
medical service.

Radiological introducing of spine problems

In view of the contexture of spine it consists of 2 main parts, the vertebrae and the vertebral
disks between them. In the live human body there are 33-35 vertebrae altogether, 24 true
vertebrae and 9-11 false vertebrae. We mark the different vertebra groups with different letters
in the x-ray diagnostics C (cervical), D/Th (dorsal), L (lumbar). Apart from this we
distinguish sacral and coccygeal vertebrae. In the vertebral column we can find the myelon in
the connection of the vertebrae. In this part of the body the nerves and the blood vessels net
the area. The patients who suffer from spine problems can be examined with different
methods. One of these methods is the traditional x-ray diagnostics, the CT-examination
(computed tomography), the MR examination (magnetic resonance) and the isotope
diagnostic too. This part can be taken by sagittal and lateral shots. In the finished x-ray
pictures we can see the physiological inflections and metamorphosis, the pathological
crookedness and the transformation in connection with the disease. We can see the centrum,
its dimension, form, mineral density and abnormal deviation. On the section of the spine we
can observe the numbers of the vertebrae fully. Often exostoses form on the vertebrae which
are very painful for the patients. So with these examination methods we can find all diseases
and abnormality and hereby we can treat and cure the patient with different methods. During
my practical time we took a lot of shots about patients who have painful spine problem. There
are some people who hardly can move or lie down on the x-ray table to examine them because
they have got so serious pain, so we radiologists help them for taking the examination shots. A
lot of people are affected with this disease. During my practice we take shots about different
parts of the spine of 30 people a day. Most of them suffer from spine paint for a long time but
there are some young people who are treated with this disease. A lot of people are affected
with this all over the world. I have experienced a lot of about this problem during my practical
time and I have seen the different forms of the disease on the shots. The protruded
intervertebral disc is a spinal illness which often emerges in early adulthood and which can be
shown on the cervical or lumbar spine section. Sometimes there are some inflamed diseases
on the spine. The osteoporosis is painful mainly on the area of the dorsal vertebrae. With the
progress of the age the tissues are used up, loose water and become rigid. This process is
characteristic for the cartilaginous covered the joints and the vertebral disks between the
vertebrae. In the different parts of the spine crookedness and distort is a very frequent
problem. Many diseases can effect on our spine so if we have got any problem we should go
to doctor. The reason of the spine disease can be the disturbance of development: mutation of
vertebra bones, contexture problems (ex. spine split) and the changed quality of the
cartilaginous (ex. chondrodysplasia). Acquired transformations: bone diseases, infections,

metabolism mutations (ex. osteoporosis) and injuries (ex. vertebral fracture). Other external
factors: burden (for example: occupational disease, fatness or pregnancy.
