Colombia can shows five natural regions by different reliefs, ecosystems and climates.
Amazon region is the largest and least populated region. It presents a high degree of humidity, heat and rainfall
during the year.

Andean region corresponding to the branches of the Andes in Colombia, including the valleys of the Cauca and
Magdalena rivers. It is the most populous region.
Caribbean Region: Caribbean includes the Plains and the mountain groups outside the Andes, like the montes de
maria, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Serrania de la Macarena, lice mountains and the desert of La Guajira. The
climate is warm in this area.
Insular Region: comprises the islands of San Andres and Providencia in the Caribbean Sea and the islands of Malpelo
