General:
1) The competition will take place between 13th to 16th February 2016 in
Aguamarina Golf Hotel, San Miguel de Abona, Tenerife, Spain. Competitors must
arrive by the 12th for registration.
2) The competition is open to young professional musicians of all nationalities, up to
32 years of age at the time of the competition. There are two categories: Piano &
Strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass & guitar)
3) The deadline for the competition entry is the 10th January 2016.
4) The entry fee for every candidate is 60.
5) All competitors staying in the Hotel have a special discount price.

Program:
6) The program should be of a minumum of 20 minutes and a maximum of 30 for
each categories. The program is free choice of any style of an entire piece, selection
of pieces or selection of movements. Details of composers, date of composition, and
title of the pieces and movements must be clearly written in the application form.
Please note contempory works which involve pre-adjustment of the piano will not be
accepted, neither will works composed by the contestant themselves.
7) Exceeding the time limit of 30 minutes could result in the jury stopping the
performance.
Piano accompanist:
8) There is an official accompanist in the competition. The fee is 40 for the rehearsal
+ performance. Alternatively, competitors can also bring their own pianist. Please
note, if choosing the official accompanist you must send the music by the 10th
January 2016 to festivalacademytenerife@gmail.com
Music:
9)All competitors must bring a copy of the music for the jury, which must be
handed to the jury at the time of the performance.
Prizes:
10) Each category (strings and piano) has 3 prizes each. The Grand Prize will be
awarded to the most convincing performer from both categories.
1 Prize: 1000 + Diploma
2 Prize: 500 + Diploma
3 Prize: Diploma
Grand Prize: 2000 + Diploma
Special Prize: Concert invitation 2017 season in Tenerife.
The prize ceremony will be given on the 16th February at 20.30h at the Aguamarina
Auditorium followed by the winners concert.

12) Fill out and submit the competition application form on the website. It is important
you write the Payment transfer reference.
13) Once we received the application, the competition will contact the applicants for a
short biography and picture to include in our brochure.

The dates of the Festival are from the 12th to 21st. You may choose the number of nights
you wish to stay. If you would like to arrive earlier or leave later than these dates, please
ask the competition and we will be able to book it for you.
The dates for the Competition are from the 13th to 16th, and like the Festival you may
arrive earlier or leave later if you wish.
The hotel offers the meeting rooms for practice, lessons and rehearsals and there are
also pianos allocated for practicing and public performances. Instrumental participants of
the competition and festival may practice in their rooms at reasonable hours.

The Festival runs from the 12th - 21st and applicants can choose to come
for the entire duration or for as many days as they like within the festival
dates. Please note that different instrumental lessons take place in different
days throughout the festival, so be sure to check the details in the professor
list below.
The Festival is set in the Agumarina Golf Hotel, San Miguel, Tenerife.

All participants and observers have a special price and you will be charged
for the number of nights you wish to stay, which you specify in the
application
form.
The applicants have the choice to come as participants or observers. For
the participants every student will have three individual instrumental
lessons, performance opportunities and attendance to chamber music
concerts.
Participation in the festial is open to all nationalities of children or adults
with any level up to and incuding ABRSM Grade 8 standard, or
equivalent. The fee for participants is 150 plus the accommodation fee.
Observers of the festival are students, accompanists, family members or
music-lovers who prefer to sit and enjoy listening to the lessons and the
Festival concerts. Observers will only need to pay the accommodation fee.
