The JCT 05 suite of documents contains revisions and updates to many of the most popular contracts. Some
contracts have been amalgamated into larger documents; see the Contract Finder table on page 32 for details
of these.

Contract Families
Every contract family now has a unique colour with main contracts and sub-contracts clearly marked to
distinguish them from each other. This has been done to make identifying the contract you need to use as
simple a process as possible.

DRAFTING FOR YOUR BUSINESS

THE JCT AND SUSTAINABILITY

The JCT Contracts Digital Service can revolutionise contract

drafting for your business. It lets you edit contracts during the
drafting process, avoiding time consuming re-drafts of the
whole contract on paper.

Sustainability will no doubt continue to be an important issue in

2010. The JCTs guidance note on sustainability, Building a
sustainable future together, will assist construction contractors
in negotiating sustainability clauses and ensuring the long term
financial viability of projects. The guidance note is available to buy
in print or to download at www.jctcontracts.com (see page 9).

Now even easier to use, the service provides a dedicated

Network Support Team who are on hand to help with any
technical questions you may have. The Online Updates service
notifies you on login when new or updated contracts are
available, so the contract you work with is always the most
current.
