Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

announce a year of favor for the Lord. In this Jubilee Year of Mercy let us follow Pope
Franciss call to practice corporal and spiritual works of mercy. First in our own
families, but also with others especially those who are forgotten.

320 Holy Hours were kept with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration last week. Adoration of
the Blessed Sacrament consoles a soul far beyond what the world can offer. (St. Alphonsus
Ligouri) If your soul needs to find peace....try spending an hour in front of the Blessed
Sacrament... call Judy Soltis at 330-212-0926 for more information.

As the Year of Consecrated Life moves towards its completion, please join Bishop Richard
Lennon on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 5:30pm Mass at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist
to recognize and give thanks for those who have consecrated their lives to God and the Church.
The consecrated life is one way that women and men live out their baptismal commitment as
followers of Jesus. On February 7, World Day for Consecrated Life, let us remember in prayer
those women and men discerning their call to religious life may they be given great courage to
seek ther vocation.
(Insert Graphic 1409-0001.tif) The Declaration of Independence declares our Godgiven right to life, the Constitution secures this right for us and our posterity, and

the 14th amendment say that no state may deny life to any person without due
process of law. As Christians, we need to pursue legislative and initiative efforts
until all human beings are protected without exception as our governing documents
intended, and to elect legislators who pursue the same goals. Next week we will be
joining with Right to Life of Northeast Ohio and dozens of area churches in the
annual Signature & Media Campaign. Volunteers will be in the back of the church
accepting signatures that will be sent to our legislators to emphasize our beliefs and
to collect donations to support pro-life multi-media education. If you prefer,
envelopes are available in the pews for you to fill out and include your donation
rather than signing the petitions forms. Envelopes can be placed in offertory basket
on January 31. Thank you for helping us Build a Culture of Life!
