1. It is preffered to have the Master Bedroom in the South-West corner of the
house.
2. The position of the beds should be in the South West corner of the room
leaving more open area on the East and North side in the room.
3. While sleeping you should sleep with your head on the South side of the
room (See VASTU FOR BEDS ALSO).
4. If attatched toilets are provided then these should be so placed that they are
on the South - West side of the room. If not possible the other locations are
the East side and South - East side of the bedroom.
5. Mirrors with dressing tables should be fixed on east or north walls.
6. Wardrobes / Almirahs should be on the South, West, North - West or the
South - West of the room.
7. As far as possible , the safe should not be kept in the Bedroom. In case it is
kept, then it should be kept in the south and opens in the North.
8. T.V, heater, electrical appliances should be in the south east corner.

1. Construction of foundations should be started from South - West corner and
then proceed towards N-W and S-E corners, after this construction should
proceed towards North - East corner as shown in figure - 1.
2. The above procedure takes care that the constucted building in S-W corner
is always higher than both N-W and S-E corners, these in turn are always
higher than the N-E corner.

VASTU FOR WATER TANK

1. It is preferred to make the overhead Water Tanks in theSouth - West side of
the house as shown in Figure - 1, since this portion of the house should be
highest.
2. Under ground water tank should be provided in the North - East portion of
the house as shown in Figure - 2, since the ground level on this side should
be the lowest.
3. Avoid making Overhead water tanks in other areas incase they are made
then they should be placed such that their top should be lower than the
building portion in the South - West of the house.

1. Tubewell should be located prferably on the North side of the North - East
corner of the plot as shown in Figure - 1.

1. Swimming pool should be placed towards the North East corner of the plot
since the ground on this side of the plot should be lowest.

building.Then the West and the North sides of the building.
2. While taking food the head of the family should sit facing the east.
3. Others should sit facing the East, West or the north. However nobody should
sit facing the south.

1. It is preffered to have the Kitchen in the South-East corner of the house as
shown in Figure - 1.
2. If its not possible to provide it in the South - East corner then the next
preference is to provide it in the North - West corner of the house.
3. Cooking platform should be towards East and while cooking you should be
facing east.
4. The cooking counter should not touch the north side wall but can be made
extending towards it.
5. Washbasin / Sink for cleaning utensils should not be in the North East
corner of the kitchen.

2. If not possible then it should be provided in the North or East portion of the

4. The idols should be in the east and the west of Pujaroom. The faces of the
idols should NOT be in the North or the South.

4. W.C should be placed in the South - West corner of the toilet and placed in
the South - North direction. You should be facing north while sitting on the
W.C, if not possible then the second option is facing South, but never facing
towards East or West.
5. Washbasin, looking mirror and shower should be fixed on the North or East
wall of the toilet.
6. The slope of the flooring and the direction of travel of water should be from
South - West corner to North - East corner.

1. It is preffered to have the balconies on the North face of the buiding as

2. Second prefernce as shown in Figure - 2 is to keep the Balconies on the East

3. We can keep Balconies on the south - west corner but we should keep them

2. It should be lesser on the West side and minimum on the South side of the
