Site Survey
1. Instructions
The Field Engineer or Sales Representative must schedule a preliminary Site Survey visit in
accordance with local branch operating procedures.
Conduct the survey in cooperation with the customers biomedical or maintenance engineer. You
must define acceptance or rejection of each requirement listed in the Site Survey form by
checking Accepted or Rejected in the Preliminary Visit section.
Describe the reason for the rejection of any parameter, and inform the customer of all
unacceptable parameters and the reasons for rejection.
If any parameters are marked Rejected during a preliminary site visit, a final visit must be made
to ensure that all unacceptable conditions have been satisfied. Time must be allowed for
corrective action to be taken before the final visit. If, after the final site survey visit, there are still
unacceptable conditions, notify the customer and Service Manager.
The Service Manager should notify the customer that specific system installation requirements
have not been met and that delivery of the system may be delayed if all the site problems are not
resolved before the scheduled installation date.
2. Distribution
Forward a completed copy of the site survey forms to:
a. Customer (Laboratory Supervisor)
b. Randox Office

4. Installation Route
Analyser dimensions are as follows:
Width
970 mm
Depth
582 mm
Height
690 mm
Weight
150 kg
Provide a brief description of the route the analyzer will take from the delivery area to the
proposed installation site. Particular attention should be made to doorways, staircases, etc.
5. Power Requirements
The Rx Imola requires a 3-pin (or 2-pin depending on site location) power outlet with a ground
(A-Type, S-Type or O-Type) within the reach of the analysers accessory power cable.

The system should not be installed near sources of high frequency noise (i.e. centrifuges or
discharge units).
Is the proposed installation site free of such noise ()?

Yes
No
Rejected
6. UPS
The UPS should be capable of supplying 1230 watts for the RX Imola / PC system.
Furthermore, the required maximum power requirements should take into account the
laboratory water system. The UPS needs to maintain this supply for as long as the power out
situation lasts or as determined by the customer.
