: SS1 Philippine History with Philippine Governance

Course Description:
The course encompasses the cultural and socio-economic of history of the
Philippines from pre-hispanic period to present, including the trends of the growth,
functions, and workings of the government of the republic of the Philippines. This
will also include the study on the various fundamental laws of the Philippines, its
essential elements and the comparative analysis of the development of the
Philippine Constitution patterned through the history of the Philippines.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester, the students should be able to:

determine past events in order to appreciate the present status of the


Philippines including its history, constitution and governance;
encourage awareness on the current status of the Philippine government in
relation with its history; and
appreciate the importance of past events and its relationships to the present
and the future of the Philippines.
