Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of Valrico Staff

We are extremely proud of our excellent staff of teachers and directors! Our staff is part of the consistent care
provided by Kids 'R' Kids.
All Kids 'R' Kids faculty & personnel are required to follow state regulations that apply to training. Our staff is
trained in First Aid/CPR, Infectious Disease Control, Injury Prevention, and Child Abuse Awareness. Additional
training in curriculum, child development, classroom arrangement, classroom management, age appropriate
activities, nutrition, field trip planning and OSHA regulations to provide the staff with skills needed to create a
quality learning environment. The staff is encouraged to further their education through CDA and CCP
programs and are given opportunities to attend professional training conferences.

Cara Jahnke is our Director of Operations at our Fishhawk location. She is responsible for the day to day
operation of the school and also monitors Curriculum implentation, staff training and development of your
children. She graduated with a B.S from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut where she played
lacross. She then pursued a masters in education and prior to moving to Florida, she attained an A.S in
education. She has been a Director of several large childcare centers since 2001 and enjoys every moment
working with children.
Telena Overstreet is our Curriculum Coordinator at our Fishhawk location. Ms.Telena has been with Kids
R Kids for the past 7 years. She currently hold a CDA and Director's credential.,She served as our VPK &
School AgeCoordinator for the past few years. She was Hillsborough County Teacher of the year in 2011 and
2012. Her persistence and professionalism complements our philosophy that "Kids should be hugged first, then
taught".
Gretta Hill is the Director of Operations at our Valrico location. Gretta Hill has spent the last 14 years
working as an early childhood educator in the Wild and Wonderful state of West Virginia. Her many years of
experience as a school director and an instructor for the Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist
program complements our mission and philosophy. She has an AA and a BA in Education and is currently
working on an MBA. Her vast experience in early education along with her drive to offer the best program is
evidence of our continued success.
Katina Fussell is the Cucciculum Coordinator at our Valrico location. She comes to us with a CDA &
Directors Credential. She came to us with many years of management experience. Her knowledge and
dedication to our industry complements our goals and vision.
Melinda Patton is our VPK & School Age Coordinator at our Valrico location. She holds a CDA &
Directors Cresential. She has been in the field of early education her entire adult life and previously held a
position as Director in another childcare center. Her passion for the industry and the children are evident.
